My hubby and I ran the Manchester half marathon last year... and he loved it so much he's running it again this year and the full Manchester marathon next year! So not for myself, but for my lovely husband :)
I’m training for the Gold Coast (Australia) half marathon in July. I’ve only ever entered races when running alongside friends/family, so it’ll be the first race I have entered running alone and have set a goal of a sub 90min. I’ve been watching all your videos and listening to the podcast for inspiration!
Another incredible informative video! These would be great for my first marathon this year, Dublin Marathon. I start my 26 week training plan on the 29th of this month!
I ran a 10k race recently in my new Saucony Kinvara Pro shoes - a carbon-plated model for everyday training. I shaved over 5 minutes off last year's time, coming in third in my age group (M70-79) with 57:04. Last week I ran the B.A.A. 5K in these shoes - they felt great, though they might be a bit stiff for a marathon. I'm training for another 10k in June and hope to shave off a few more minutes. The Kiprun 900X LD looks very interesting.
Class video and amazing insight. Used to work for Decathlon here in Cardiff and once a brand ambassador, always! They look fantastic. For me - Cardiff Race to Victory 5K ! Fancy myself a shiny new PB ;)
I've already the KS900 Light and the KD900 X and I both love them for my runs. I'm now training for a local marathon in the Netherlands, in Breda. The marathon is on Whit Sunday and I would be so delighted to run on the new KIPRUN 900X LD and go for a PB!
Well running my second marathon at Loch Ness at end of September. Ran my first there last year in 4:16 so would be great to try these to see if I could get under 4 hrs
I recently completed my first marathon with the goal of sub 4 which I didn't achieve. But I already signed up for 2 more in half a year and a year from now. I'll definitely get the sub 4 next time. I was admiring these shoes and wondering if I should get them in the future, but I know carbons are suited for faster paces than 5:40/km. So if I would've won them I would train for 10k and eventually do the race with these super shoes ❤
Great video! Really interesting to see the differences measured. Would love to use these and smash my PB in my next half marathon, the Barns Green Half, in September!
I am running the Amsterdam Marathon in October! And after supporting all the participants in the Rotterdam marathon last week I am really looking forward to it! The atmosphere was amazing!
When it comes to race day shoes, it's common practice for myself to save the shoes for race day only. I find that training in the specific made shoe, say interval shoes for training before said race and then wear the race day shoes is ultimately what works best for me as it gives a sense of confidence that I need in the race and it prolongs the freshness/effectiveness of the racing shoe.
That was impressive! It’s good to see other shoes brand investing in good quality running shoes! Too late for London but would love to try one in Valencia in December 😊
Big fan of the podcast and channel id wear them for my next marathon! i did paris marathon this year having started running in November of 2023. started by running the movenmber run with work and haven't looked back since!!!.. i saw the launch of these and was immediately interested in them! they look amazing and would love to give them a try!
As a long time cyclist, Decathlon have always been a favorite, now i've turned to a bit of running too (9 months ago), It's good to see that they'll be helping me there with affordable good quality kit. Have done a sprint duathlon but will be doing an 10k in 2 weeks, then the London Duathlon (September) and then Nottingham Half Marathon (September?)! Full Marathon next year? Not given up cycling though C2C scheduled this year and Cycling holiday in the Alps (although this becomes an "Altitude training camp" for cycling and running😄64 so no time to waste!!😉
One of the most informative, eye-opening and engaging videos I've seen from The Running Channel--and given the high quality of your content, that's saying a lot! Thank you for the peek inside, and thank Decathlon for investing in science while STILL building affordable products!
I’m running the Bristol half on May 29th so an 8% improvement would take me below 1 hour 45 minutes and add an new PB for this year to go with my 5k, 10k and marathon PBs I’ve already set this year. I’m 59 and I’ve been improving over the last two years which oddly coincides with how long I’ve been subscribing!
I am so impressed with the results of the treadmill tests Andy. I've never tried running in a Supershoe and would love to use these for the Cardiff half marathon in the Autumn. A PB at 61 years old would be amazing!
I absolutely love the variety in content that you put out for your viewers! You all are amazing. I’d love to try those Kiprun’s out at the Marine Corps 10k in November.
I'm doing the City to Casino fun run on May 26th..In Hobart Tasmania and love a new pair of shoes. Love the channel and enjoy learning new things about my favorite sport from you all.
I fell in love with running just over a year ago and finished my first marathon at the beginning of April and I have a feeling there are many more to come! The next one will be a small one in Austria (Wachau) where I will be part of a relay marathon and in June 2025 I will participate in the Øresund Bridge Run. 🏃♀
Great video as always and great to see Decathlon getting some recognition. I’d love to win a pair of these for my first full Ironman in Copenhagen this year!!
Love this video, really interesting! I have a carbon plated running shoe for racing only and have seen amazing results. Last year i did a 46 min 10k with out carbons and now with a carbon plated shoe i have now done a 41:59!!They really do work. If i won these trainers i would use them in my GNR race
I love seeing footage of Kenyan runners. They're always so impressive and interesting ☺I'm only a beginner runner and don't have plans for running a race just yet, but I would love to be fit enough to do a 5 km race in two months or so.
I've got the free Runthrough closed roads 10k event in the Olympic village later this year, so would be awesome to wear a pair in that, as otherwise I'll be in my two year old shoes!
Just found your channel, and it got me so hyped up for running again that I've stuck my name in the ballot for TCS London next year. It would be great to have some new shoes to run it in...
In South Africa the Decathlon brand is not taken terribly seriously, so really useful content. I would never have considered even looking there for decent shoes.
I could afford all those branded high end shoes but WHY should I pay half of the silly exaggerated retail price for the (insert famous brand name) tag when Decathlon does the job just as nice? Who cares about my own silly PBs in the end anyways? I own exactly one pair of carbon shoes, NB Fuel Cell Supercomp Pacer bought on sale for 109 € / 116 USD / 93 GBP and yes I did my 5k PB in them, 22:07 at 45. Would hardly pay more for ANY shoe. A shoe doesn't save my middle-aged a&&, more consistent training will.
Ive yet to see a truly high quality apparel item out decathlon, any item ive bought, or family has bought, has disintegrated in weeks/months Better off buying from Adidas/Puma or local brands
I would love to wear the Kiprun 900X LD at the Sunshine Coast Marathon on August 11. Thank you for the great videos, As I’m new to running I have learnt so much about running, mostly what I have been doing wrong. As a result I have increased my pace over the last 15 Park runs.
That was surprisingly interesting! Thank you guys for taking us behind the scenes! :) I will run my first marathon in september, the Berlin Marathon. I'm already excited for the race and honestly kinda scared. This is just a hell of a distance. Keep up the great work and all the best to Sarah for her London Marathon this weekend! :)
hello from greece! nice job guys. very interesting video getting a glance at the manufacturing and performance testing of shoes. hope to see more of those! i will be racing in the athens authentic marathon in november... until then its just trails for me
Loving the videos. Started the Podcast and just caught up 😊. Nice to see that the super shoes are becoming more affordable. Would love to run in one of those on my St Albans Half Marathon race on the 9th of June. My 3rd race ever and my 1st Half Marathon. Keep up the amazing work!!
I'll be running my first half-marathon in Maj (Gothenburg), those shoes would celebrate my one and a half year journey going from only being able to run for 1 minute to running the full distance!
I hadn't considered these shoes before. I'm running the Auckland marathon this year and a half marathon in Melbourne. I'm always on the lookout for shoes and clothing to recommend to my PT clients. Would definitely be keen to try these.
Great channel, which helped keep me motivated after hernia surgery. Long and hard recovery which I'm still fighting. Hope to run the London Marathon next year. I will be doing it for ectopic pregnancy if I can get a place. Keep up the good work 👏
I just started running again and I'm eyeing a 4 mile race in may in my own city and a 10 km circuit race in june! If you're familiar with motorsport, that race is taking place at TT Circuit in the Netherlands
I love that you're reviewing Decathlon shoes 🙌 I'd love to have some carbon plated shoes to run my first half Marathon in Valencia or Barcelona 🤗 Anyway, thank you for your content! Can't wait for the next podcast!
This video definitely influences my perception of Decathlon's competitive carbon plate race shoe. I usually save super shoes for race day and during longer training run of 20km and above because they are expensive. I ran my first marathon and half marathon in Oct and Dec respectively last year with Saucony Endorphin Pro 3.
I only own one pair of supershoes, Adidas Adios 3, and I've only run one race, Loch Ness Marathon, in them. I took them out for a try out as soon as I'd got them, and again for my last big long run before the race, which was a dress rehearsal, but generally feel I should save them for race days. Having worked my way through dozens of models and styles of non-carbon shoes to find the best rotation for daily, speed sessions, long runs, and recoveries, I'm anticipating trying other models of supershoes in coming years, in exactly the same way. Kiprun's attractive because I could speculatively try a pair for what I'd pay for another brand's non-carbon trainers.
I've only been running for around 9 months working my way from 5k to 10k with help from your channel. My next step is my local half marathon in October, and KD900XLD would be a great addition to my kit. Thanks for the advice and help your videos have given me, keep up the good work 🏃♂️🏃♀️
I ran my first park run last Saturday, I've only been running for a month and was super happy with a 24:40. I'd be interested to see if these shoes can help me achieve a better time.
Great video, an 8.44% performance gain is incredible. I'm going to be running the London Big Half, in September, raising money for a charity. I'd love to go around in a pair of these.
What I'm going to use the kiprun shoes for, at least running the Manchester half. I've signed up to run Leeds, GNR and Manchester halfs (maybe another time permitting) for Cancer Research and St Michael's Hospice. Why, a large number of my family and friends have been affected by cancer with brothers, sisters and parents being affiliated. My mother is in her second year of chemo and recently my father-in-law died only weeks after being diagnosed. I've not been a serious runner and did my first parkrun late last year. Being very much in the veteran category I've set myself an ambitious and challenging target of finishing Manchester in October at sub 1:45, so every ounce of benefit would be greatly appreciated.
I'd love to beat my 10k and half marathon PBs (set 20 years ago!). Don't think I'm too far off, so these shoes could give me the edge. Next race is the Birmingham Black Country half.
Thanks for this. It confirms that as someone who lumbers around a marathon at roughly 3:30 these days knock 10 minutes off still wouldn't make me fast. I'll save my money.
I've put off considering carbon plated shoes just because of how expensive they are. Years back when I was first getting into 5s and 10ks it was just about what shoes are comfortable. Now there all this, plates and what foam gives you the best return. I'd kinda like to try these out over the East Midlands GP race series to see how they effect my performance over last year!
I’m thinking of running my first half marathon in October at the PEI Marathon weekend! Would love to win a pair to run in! Love your channel by the way!!
I am a bigger (and slower) runner and I haven't found a plated shoe that gave me a benefit. I need some stability and no carbon plated shoe offers this. I run all my races in the saucony endorphin shift (all versions) and some training in the saucony tempus. I wish athletic brands would consider the bigger runners more often, because it is difficult to find the right gear.
Love the video, my next race is the Paris half next year and these would be good shoes for that. Having said that, London ballot opens tomorrow so maybe for that
I've never run in carbon plated shoes, as a slower runner I am concerned about stability and also just improving in non-plated shoes first so I can get the most benefit. I have a half marathon booked in September and plan to keep training throughout the year so I can get a PB during that race.
I'm doing the Noosa Marathon in May - my first marathon and the first event my newborn son will be able to come to as he was premature and still in hospital when I did my last event. I'm also running the Sunshine Coast 10km in August and raising money for premature babies.
I will definitely use this in the Hong Kong Standard Chartered Marathon (a road run including crossing the Harbour underground/tunnel of 2 kms) and other road running races when autumn/winter comes in this part of the world.
I would love to wear a pair of these for London marathon next year (if i get in) I have a trail marathon in 3 weeks so will stick with what i've been training in but for a road race, I would absolutely love the chance of trying these out!
I've just finished London 3:35:15 which is my first GFA time, so maybe London next year or even Boston. 12 months ago I could barely run 5K at that pace after long covid
No plans for any formal events, but love to try a pair out just to personally feel the difference between my normal shoe and a pair of super shoes and if the difference is worth the change / addition in shoes.
Me and my brother are running the great north run later this year, and these shoes could just be the edge I need to finally make it to the finish line ahead of him 😀
Hoping to run my first marathon in Galway this year (Galway marathon, got injured in prep for an earlier one). Would love to try the carbon plated shoes.
Running my first half, the Royal Parks half in October, never used carbon plates so would be interested to see what they do for a very non-elite 6:30/7 min km runner like me
Thanks for the video I really enjoyed knowing the whole process of manufacturing a shoe it was really informative
My hubby and I ran the Manchester half marathon last year... and he loved it so much he's running it again this year and the full Manchester marathon next year! So not for myself, but for my lovely husband :)
Aw love that!
I’m training for the Gold Coast (Australia) half marathon in July. I’ve only ever entered races when running alongside friends/family, so it’ll be the first race I have entered running alone and have set a goal of a sub 90min.

Love this video! Very exciting. I would love to test Kiprun on my first marathon in Lisbon (my hometown now) this fall
Great video. Very interesting and I just think Andy is so engaging
Really glad you enjoyed it Juliet!
I'm signed up for a marathon in Helsinki on 24th of August. A pair of these would definetly help!
Class video and amazing insight. Used to work for Decathlon here in Cardiff and once a brand ambassador, always! They look fantastic. For me - Cardiff Race to Victory 5K ! Fancy myself a shiny new PB ;)

That’s so cool, so you would really know the comparison if you were to win! Best of luck to you 🙌
Well running my second marathon at Loch Ness at end of September. Ran my first there last year in 4:16 so would be great to try these to see if I could get under 4 hrs
Good luck! We'll sure you'll smash your goals 💪
Really informative video, I’ve never run in super shoes but with NY marathon in a few months I think I may be a convert 🏃♂️
Stavanger marathon 2024, my home city marathon, great scenary and course for my first road marathon :)
I recently completed my first marathon with the goal of sub 4 which I didn't achieve. But I already signed up for 2 more in half a year and a year from now. I'll definitely get the sub 4 next time. Well done Andy and TRC. Great presentation and interesting video.
Great video! Really interesting to see the differences measured. Would love to use these and smash my PB in my next half marathon, the Barns Green Half, in September!

I’d love to wear these shoes in my first half marathon attempt! Love the video

Great insight into Kiprun shoes never thought of buying them, but you never know now I'm running Cardiff Half Marathon in October 🏃♀️🏃♂️
That is why we thought it was so important to make this video!
That was impressive! It’s good to see other shoes brand investing in good quality running shoes! Too late for London but would love to try one in Valencia in December 😊

Edinburgh marathon and looking for another later in the year, this video went live just as I was about to buy them....is this a sign....haha
Great video as always and great to see Decathlon getting some recognition. I’d love to win a pair of these for my first full Ironman in Copenhagen this year!!

New to running. First 5k in July!
Goodluck, and welcome to the cult! 😂👍
I used to have a pair of Kiprun trail shoes and they were excellent. Interesting to see this!
In South Africa the Decathlon brand is not taken terribly seriously, so really useful content. I would never have considered even looking there for decent shoes.
Decathlon is excellent for affordable gym and outdoor apparel. Never thought about their shoes before though!
Maxed also makes some really good shoes.

@@dresden_slowjogtraining and STRETCHING
Love the science behind these. I am building up to a Ultra early next year but would use these shoes for the Lydd 20 miler.
I'm doing Belfast in 2 weeks, the day before I officially become a pensioner. Best get 'em in the post!
Best of luck for it!
I would love to wear the Kiprun 900X LD at the Sunshine Coast Marathon on August 11. Thank you for the great videos, As I’m new to running I have learnt so much about running, mostly what I have been doing wrong. As a result I have increased my pace over the last 15 Park runs.
Great to see the process. I'm running the Oxford half marathon in October
Loving this video. Thank you Running Channel. Keep up the good work!
That % change in running economy is wild! I’d love to try these out in Edinburgh marathon
Really is isn’t it?!
That was surprisingly interesting! Thank you guys for taking us behind the scenes! :)
I will run my first marathon in september, the Berlin Marathon.
Great video, id like to try them in Derby half marathon june 30th this year, love your videos
I'll be running my first half-marathon in Maj (Gothenburg), those shoes would celebrate my one and a half year journey going from only being able to run for 1 minute to running the full distance!
Would love to try a pair for my first marathon in edinburgh next year
I hadn't considered these shoes before.

Thanks Andy! I'd love to run the Hereford half marathon in the new Kiprun shoes, that foam looks so lovely and bouncy! 👍🏼

I've been trying to get sub 1:40 at the Brighton Half Marathon for years, maybe these shoes could help?
Maybe 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Thx for the great content. Would love to see more "behind the scenes" from different kinds of running kid.
I'd love to beat my 10k and half marathon PBs (set 20 years ago!). Don't think I'm too far off, so these shoes could give me the edge. Next race is the Birmingham Black Country half.
I just registered for my first Marathon: the European Open championships in Brussels next year! Would be sensational to run it on these Kiprun shoes!
doing my first marathon at the manitoba marathon this June! I'd definitely wear those shoes!

I'm doing the Robin Hood Half Marathon in September. Hopefully it's the first of many!!

I'm doing the Noosa Marathon in May - my first marathon and the first event my newborn son will be able to come to as he was premature and still in hospital when I did my last event. I'm also running the Sunshine Coast 10km in August and raising money for premature babies.
Very interesting. I'd wear them in the Berlin marathon this year for the anniversary! 🎉
Good call!
I will definitely use this in the Hong Kong Standard Chartered Marathon (a road run including crossing the Harbour underground/tunnel of 2 kms) and other road running races when autumn/winter comes in this part of the world.
Edinburgh marathon for me this year. Would love to swap out my Reeboks for a pair of supershoes.
I'd love to use these shoes for the London marathon next year! Fingers crossed for ballot entry...
I would love to race in these shoes. My first Marathon will be in upstate NY in September.
Loved this video, marathon run for me
No plans for any formal events, but love to try a pair out just to personally feel the difference between my normal shoe and a pair of super shoes and if the difference is worth the change / addition in shoes.
With running a 70 mile ultra from North Wales to the Midlands in June, I'd love to up the quality of my running shoes to get me from A to B!
Love to where the shoes for a local marathon coming up this fall
Me and my brother are running the great north run later this year, and these shoes could just be the edge I need to finally make it to the finish line ahead of him 😀
I would love to wear these during my first marathon attempt at the Sydney Marathon in September!
Hoping to run my first marathon in Galway this year (Galway marathon, got injured in prep for an earlier one). Would love to try the carbon plated shoes.
Running my first half, the Royal Parks half in October, never used carbon plates so would be interested to see what they do for a very non-elite 6:30/7 min km runner like me
I would love these shoes! I'm training for a 10K and these would be a game changer
What game changer?
I'm training for the North Olympic Discovery HM, on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state in early June. Finishes right along the ocean.
Munich this Fall. Would be my first marathon. Recently raced my first half in nylon plated shoes. I feel they helped me a lot during the race.
Cheers for the video Andy! I would wear them for the Dartford Midnight Marathon in July!
Great content. Would love to wear these at Yorkshire Marathon later this year!
