    The “c” part looks the most natural to me.. unfortunately I can only manage it in the front of my head when I DIY. This set you have now is gonna be fire. That blonde patch is cute!

    I love your channel Queen. New subscriber to your channel. I love your content, you are a great teacher. Im considering starting my loc journey I’ve been a loose natural for 18 years. Im also a lefty as well and do a lot of things right handed and twisting to right is one of them.

    They came out so clean and cute!! I so badly want to color my locs 😩- but I'm trying to wait until I at least hit 1 year and ensure I've developed an excellent loc hydration schedule (like, I'm okay - but I could do better some days). Can't wait to see how you choose to style them!

    • @CourtneyGrayton
      @CourtneyGrayton  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you! That's good (in my opinion) that you're waiting a while to bleach/color. I only have color because I did it before I decided to start my locs lol I can also do better with hydration some days, but it's okay!

    Hey!! So I absolutely love your loc content. I bought your oil and hair butter to use for my starter locs and I was curious on how often I should use the butter to prevent loc buildup. Also I’ll be dying my hair before getting a new set of starter locs (combed my first set out due to length and parting 😅) and I’m curious on what you recommend for moisture. I have issues with retaining moisture now with me loose natural hair. Any advice will be much appreciated!!.

    Is there a reason you comb coil and then twist at the end? (I haven't seen anyone combine those 2 techniques yet & just trying to gather as much info as i can before i start mine 😉)
    Sorry, I'm not sure if you mentioned it and i didn't catch it.
    Thanks! Your locs look great 👍🏽

    • @CourtneyGrayton
      @CourtneyGrayton  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you so much! I coil at the root to have it lay flat during install (neater) and to also give the look of freshly retwisted locs at the root!

    I just started my loc journey today, on my own and I’m REALLY self conscious about the parts. I feel like I kinda just put them in all over my head. Will that negatively affect how my locs form?

    • @CourtneyGrayton
      @CourtneyGrayton  23 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      It really depends! Because it’s up to preference and what’s most important to you. If it’s more important for your locs to be the same size, that’s all you need to check for. If you care about the parts being very neat and uniform, you might want to have someone take a look at them. I offer virtual consultations if you’d like my input! Www.Vagaro.Com/hairgoalswithcg

    im planning on starting my locs on myself soon. i have a few questions that i cant find any answers on. if i start by braiding at the root and then following with a twist, could i then interloc after a wash and palm roll when i need a touch up? my main reason for starting is so that i can wash my hair more healthily. when washing could i use a tooth brush on my parts to get rid of build up? and can brushing the locs with a bristle brush help with lint and fluff? im open to any and all suggestions before i start thank you!!!

    • @CourtneyGrayton
      @CourtneyGrayton  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, U can braid at the root and then interlock. I wouldn’t use a toothbrush or a bristle brush on your locs or scalp. Try using a clarifying shampoo before the moisturizing shampoo to remove buildup. Good luck on your journey!

    I will say having an even amount in back is a must. I don't and it drives me crazy when I twist it up.

      We really are loc twins, how come I'm just finding you???.
      I had 152 locs, I combined 2, so now they are 151.
      You don't know how much I search for TH-camrs with the same loc count and texture as me 😂

    I just cannot get my twist to do right at the root for locs for nothing so should i just do the twist and leave them in anyway and have someone do a retwist
