I just found a dumpster with about 75 pendants some date back to the 30s a lot of sports retired teams and state travel pendants they aren’t even that dirty but some look to have a lot of value
Wow, nice find.
How would you get the wrinkles out without an iron? Mine was not sitting flat and has some creases. Can that be fixed?
Water and rollers might work.
I’d sure like some personal help I’ve only posted a couple of these pennants I found I trash a Kansas City athletics sold for 48$ in 3 minutes a 1942 Gettysburg sold for 27$ in a half hour and a general Douglas Mac Arthur the hero of Bataan sold in 30 mins for 210$ im probaly underpricing because they are selling quick it’s hard to pinpoint a price with no comps on eBay for a lot of these
Check out worthpoint
@@ThriftShopHustler i have worthpoint nothing like mine are anywhere just sold a welcome home our troops one for almost 80 that also sold fast
Thank you 🙏 for the instructions I really appreciate it 😊
Any time!
Any tips on how to get that mildew smell out of pennants?
Look into Fabreeze.
Any tips for getting folds and creases out?
Iron on low heat with rice paper in between.
I have a very old felt picture...trying to find out how to clean with out ruining the pic...it's full of dust dirt and whatever...just wondering if I put it in cold water and woolite will it mess up the pic?
Yeah, it might. Try lightly dusting it maybe?
I dusted it about three times some pet hair dust and dirt came off but it still looks dirty.
Great tip, informative. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
You can wash them in the dishwasher top rack. My pennants are from the 70’s and it worked great.
😳🧐🤣🤪
Thanks, I wouldn't try that unless I didn't care about value but thanks for sharing.
If you wash what would you use - wool light?
I don't wash them, this was a non water cleaning.
Thanks for the video. I have a red and white felt Christmas decoration that I would like to clean. The white areas are quite dirty. Any ideas? It is my Christmas stocking from when I was a baby so I would like to clean it if safe to do. Many thanks!
No idea how one would clean those. Maybe some light dish soap and a bristle scrubber.
@@ThriftShopHustler thank you!
I've seen plastic protectors that fit modern size pennants like a glove. But what about yesterday's size pennants and the days before? How does one protect them from dirt/damage? I have a few of the 8.5x26" pennants and others that size down to 3.5x8".
Any protection ideas?
Good question. Maybe UV glass inside a frame?
If you don't have the colored in pieces (like you dodgers one here) think an upholstery extractor would be a bad idea?
I've got the original six hockey teams and they all have white parts that are very much not white anymore. Would love to freshen them up a bit and at least get some stains off, but don't want to ruin them.
Yeah, honestly if you can live with the stains, I wouldn't chance it.
Suggestion for black mildew on white felt?
That is way out of my leauge.
Very good Chris
Hope this helps you down the road!
Are you better off just saying my pennants are the rare brown versions 😅
These have taken a lot of second hand smoke!!
I wish there was a way to clean them bc they appear to have value. Any insight? I know ppl have asked
I've heard of people dry cleaning them.
what would you do with a Montreal expos pennant that is dirty? Trust soap and water??
Not sure its safe to wash.
@@ThriftShopHustler the first thing you would do is use your technique in the video and go from there?
what do you do to pennants wet from a flood?
Dry them out?
How do you clean one that has been dicolored?
I have no idea and wouldn't suggest cleaning it with water or solution.
What are you listing those for?
Those one's are starting at $100 each.
What about white felt pennants that have browned?
I'm not suggesting washing them but im sure there is some technique with a small amount of bleach and soaking them in water for a day.
Honestly dude I wish you a actually cleaned them but they don’t even need it!!
Yeah, I didn't "wash" them
Fight On ✌️
Totally!
