@johnnewcomb5162 my set is TC encore pro hunting 209x50 120 gr. With a 300 thor bullet I have used a Parker productions as well, did the job but that thor puts a hole in them
I would like to see the basic CVA Wolf, Traditions Buckstalker and Tracker in 40,45,50,54,and 58 calibers.I Would like to see those same platforms in 8,10,12,16 and 20 gauge single barrel shotguns. Wouldn't that be fun and wouldn't break the 🏦 bank
I have an older model CVA Hunter-Bolt .45 Cal Magnum which I absolutely love. It feels like a regular rifle to me. Recommended Load is 295gr Powerbelt Bullet and 100 Gr of Powder. Good Stuff!
I have a CVA .45 cal. and a .54 cal. Hawken. I have trouble finding ammo for both. I have to cast and size my own Minnie Ball bullet. They work well. Been working well for me.
In my opinion there is a great need to make breakopen guns look and have the feel of Real guns that they really don’t have now. Classic feel with Classic looks!
I long ago came to despise sabots. Really wish we'd had these advanced full bore projectiles when I still hunted the ML season. I might have continued.
Any plans for CVA to increase the barrel twist speed in the 50 cal Accura’s from 1:28 to something like 1:24 or 1:22 to stabilize the longer ELR type Bullets on the market. I think this would help the 50 cal. What’s the max charge for the new Accura LR-x and MR-x rifles using in White Hots or Firestar pellets, Blackhorn 209 powder ( by weight ) ? Does CVA and PowerBelt recommend the 50 cal ELR ( 270 gr or 330 gr ) bullets in the Accura rifles? FYI I’ll be testing both out of my rifle, but I haven’t seen much info / data on the newer 270 gr bullets.
As far as I am aware, CVA does not plan to change the twist rate in the .50 caliber Accuras any time soon. CVA Accura Magnum Charges: IMR White Hots Pellets: 3 50-grain pellets FireStars Pellets: 5 33-grain Pellets Blackhorn 209: 84-grains (measured by weight) CVA does recommend using the ELR bullet in the .50 caliber Accura models. We have found that you will have better results using a magnum charge with that bullet.
This .40 caliber is on .54 caliber tc renegade i bought in 1972 when i came back from vietnam,i needed something that was harder to hunt with if you know what i mean
Your videos are great very informative but would like to see you guys put together a video of what muzzleloader hunters have to use here in the northwest Oregon, and Idaho as far as your Recommendations on bullets, powder and caps hope you can put together best recommendations even rifle
In my state a 35 Whelen is a muzzleloader, LOL. I wish we would go back to only actual muzzleloading rifles for the primitive firearms season. The added pressure really took a toll on our public land deer numbers.
I bought a cva 40 cal inline last year got for 150 bucks but my question is do you just put your charge blocks in and then a sabot bullet or do they need that I call em wad that the bullet goes on a 50 cal this is my 1st muzzleloader that isn't a 50 cal so curious so I don't damage anything
Chad did you recently here that story of the hunter in Mississippi,,he bought the new forty cal CVA,,Took it hunting for the first time ,,got a deer , then turned over his boat and lost all the footage his brand new CVA and everything,, almost died ,,but survived and made a video about it ,,DIY do it yourself hunter
Damnit man! If you have a chance post the link to that if dont minds.. Hes deff lucky to be alive. . .🤦 that had to be one of the most costly mistakes if he lost it all! One expensive hunt!
Any thoughts on an in-line shotgun? Maybe a double barrel in-line shotgun? In some states you are allowed to take dear with a shotgun. I have a double barrel shotgun made by Pedersoli that I take bird hunting and would like to see something offered in an in-line...
There are a few inline shotguns out there currently. Unfortunately, we do not have any on our website but I would recommend checking out the Knight TK2000.
@@draconian6692 now modern inline muzzle loaders are banned for non residents and residents need an FID or LTC and a different permit for the powder and bullets too. Welcome to freedom.

Looks like the 40 is dead before it even got out of the gate. I didn’t see a single listing in the 2023 CVA catalog.😕 Can’t wait to see some videos on the new Paramount V2! I like the stock change. Looks like a different sight on the Colorado edition too.
Plain lead such as Thompson Centers Cheap Shots out perform all the copper and copper jackets, ME CALIBER NOT SO MUCH, States have their own guidelines, But the bullet choice out of a muzzle loader, In many instances I find plain ol round ball out performing Shock Wave, Power Belts and the like.yeah sure scientifically they out perform round ball, but practically in real world that round ball at 100 yards or less is so much better and more devastating. Now out of a smokeless muzzle loader odds will favor the belted power ball, shock wave and the likes there of, They tend to get the speed and power needed. But hey I mean there is tons of evidence supporting but it aint none of my business
The new technology seems great. These new muzzleloaders lòok suspiciously like bolt action center fire rifles. I think im going to pass. My 50 cal shooting 45 cal sabot ftx bullets does everything I need it to do. Im not the guy who needs to extend my effective range past 300yds. The majority of all hunters have no business shooting further anyways.
lol really? i guess you never heard of or shot a 300 weatherby magnum, i have dumped white tail, moose, Elk, out to 600 yards, and thats my buisness, professionalism, skills, all tied up into 1.. im also white and free.......
@ALPHA-SIGMA-i2p Yeah looks like you missed my point. I said the "majority" of hunters have no business shooting past 300 yards. No doubt you're the exception. I realize there are "professionals", like yourself, that take game 600 yds and beyond. However, special equipment, skill, and practice is required.
I dont get you Americans...Why you use 100grn BP to shot on fire range on 50 m??? I use 50 kal "Hawken" Hunter Pedersoli and i use 48-72 depens of round ball or real or 480grn conical like..( accuracy with biger bp loads it worst) I dont need more ,but you use 100 or 120 bp ( i see even 3x50 pellets of 777) why? I always want to question this... ( sorry for my eng)
😂😂😂 because you don't know what your shot distance when you see listing your rifle bubba. Keep shooting paper and private game. Real hunting is variable
Why? I simply don't understand people who make an accusation but don't explain why. Do you think everyone else is a mind reader and just knows what you think. Here's the straight skinny on your type of comment... It impresses nobody and is ignored by everyone because it doesn't help them evaluate anything.
I'm from New Mexico, and have hammered big bulls with my TC 50 cal. @ 300 yards with pass through.

Inline small caliber for squirrel! Pic rail for scope or red dot.

If u had to choose between the Traditions strikerfire vapr or the cva accura mr-x 45 cal. Which 1?
Love to see a super long range 40 cal cva. Maybe even a 35" barrel

That is the CVA Magnetic Capper. I will include a link to it below.

Can these be used in other muzzleloaders like TC encore
Definitely!
Since cva is coming out with 40 and 45 cal they should bring the 54 cal back in the inline
I dont see a CVA link where I can see the ballistics he was referring to. Do you have it?
I haven't seen this kind of reporting on round ball. Is there a video available?
Why tf you want a round ball???😂 the whole point is getting a high bc projectile

I can understand using a .40 or a .50 caliber with bullets but with a round ball and traditional muzzleloader I would use at least a .50

was going to get a Woodman Arms in .40 but just looked up Mass rules. No go ! gotta be a .45 or bigger
Sadly

So if .40 can go with speed of 2700 ft/s , and it weighs about 190 grain, it potentially could kill a bear and something more??? Noice
No potentially, it would do well on most all north american game.
No .44?🤷♂️

@BOB Joatmon power belts are trash they dont group well and if you manage to hit a deer with one they dont leave good blood trails
Why you would use anything less than a 50cal is stupid
