Dude, the part about motorcycle riding lifting your spirits. Holy shit how true is that. A few years ago i bought my first bike. A brand new 2015 harley 883 iron. Loved that thing, learned to ride it and just had such a blast. Unfortunately here in colorado our winters last too long, and i sold my bike as I didn’t get to ride it as much as I wanted. I’m moving to arizona in 3 months, and am so glad that I’m going to be able to ride essentially year round. I’m already shopping for a bike again. Debating on a 1200 iron, or an indian scout (whether the bob or the regular scout.) I can not wait man! I used to always feel SO good when riding. You’re awesome man, got a new sub for sure.
Great review! Appreciate how you talk about defensive riding and gear and how bikes lift the mood. This is true stuff! Love this bike and your mods. Great job!
Your correct about being a VERY defensive rider , iv been riding for over 40 years ( 30 on road ) with the exception of coming off a few times when I was younger, stupider , less wise and speed was a factor, in the last 15 years I only came of once on the road due to gravel on a blind corner “ shit happens sometimes “ but have never had an accident with other vehicles due to me riding extremely defensive.
I bought a 2017 sportster 48 and love it but when I finally got a chance to sit on a scout or a Indian in general I wish I would have gotten a a Indian. Beautiful motorcycle and definitely more bang for your buck.
Bro, you never lied about how riding a bike will clear your mind. I believe just about every biker past and present agree with you. I ride the 2019 Indian Chieftain and completely live this bike. The Indian brand is good.
@jpstyle240 Of course I'll do the course, not one but as many as I can specially the advanced ones later on. Motorcycling has too many techniques involved that the more we train and learn the better. I'm an avid cyclist and already know what does it feel like when behind the handlebars :-) I think the motorcycling feeling is gonna be similar but amplified. It's strange to say it but I never felt like getting a motorcycle until I saw the Indian Bobber! I was hooked with its amazing lines and design.
Really great assessment of the bike and what you like about it compared to others. You are very knowledgable for just starting out. Been riding for a year myself. Can't wait to see more videos, would love to see some motovlogs on it!
Damn, bro. I’m a beginner rider and I was thinking about going the “safe route” with my first bike by getting a Honda Rebel 500. I didn’t have the confidence that I’d be able to handle a bigger bike for my first bike, but this has without a doubt changed my mind. I was wondering, how’s filtering with the bobber in LA traffic? Is it too big to split lanes or have you had any problems? (I’m curious because I’m planning on moving out there and traffic looks crazy.) Thanks for the inspiration, man! Keep up with the videos!
Nice review man. I just bought a 2011 Vulcan 900 classic LT with 3000 kilometers on it (like 1,900 miles) pristine! Modified it with Vance & Hines Slash pipes & Cobra Proflo, awesome intro bike for a Harley....until I saw your review; I going to drop for the Indian Scout now! Cheers! George
9:16 Truth right here man. Couldn’t have said it better. I’m 38 and my Beginner Rider course is scheduled for next month after contemplating motorcycle riding for a few years. But with career and grad school in the way plus how fast time flies, never got around to doing it. Sometimes I feel a little regret that I didn’t do it earlier, so what you said really hits home. Life is to be lived to the fullest. We only have one chance on this planet. I’d cheers to that. Hope you’re safe and doing well with that bike brother
thanks for the review. i purchased one about a month ago and love it. i only ride for recreation so i dont have that many mile in yet but im working on it. the only thing i find is that when im stuck in traffic, the engine can reach 98 plus degrees. is it the same for you or is it the hot country i live in ?
I’m an 18 year old man and I’m thinking about getting an Indian scout bobber but I don’t know if it’s a smart choice because I also want a car. What do y’all think I do?
Nice vid mate. Havent had a go on the indian range but high up on list. Looks stunning. Did you consider the triumph bobber black? Worth a ride of one to compare to yours.
The worst vehicle accident I was ever in, happened when I was standing on a sidewalk... when it’s your time, it’s your time; when it’s not your time, you may still be in a lot of pain..... PS. Don’t be a dumbass, if you’re gonna be in a car accident, plan ahead, be in a car... otherwise stay away from car accidents.
Great review on my dream bike. I really enjoyed watching your video. You sound very intellectual and well educated with your explanations. Thanks for the review!
Thank you for your video, I now finally know wich bike to get, is gonna be my first time riding a bike, and as you said I will get it for my birthday it will be best present ever ... in a few months , thanks bro and be safe out there, I'm cali San Francisco 🤙
@jpstyle240 thank you bro, and I will fo sure thanks for the advise and will keep it in mind. I will share pics or vids with you guys be safe and ofcourse all the riders out there .. 🌉
Its a beautiful bike Alex. People always ask why your riding. Yes there is always a risk but 9 out of 10 it is always the person behind a car that causes it. I think experience bike rider should always have the mentally that it may be his or her last ride. Just be careful bro an have fun. I might just get me this ride.
Comment more about the suspension. Many people say the ride is too rough except on perfect roads (we have none of those in OR 😂 What brand of Shocks, did you change the fork? Great bike great review.
THE SHAKE AND BAKE thanks. I’m about to take my class and get my license. And this is the exact bike I’m purchasing. I just wanna add a nice deep growl to it. Nothing too outrageous.
Awesome. bikes are definitely fun! That bell helmet looks interesting. Haven’t really seen it in person so can’t really give an opinion, but I also have a biltwell helmet and the fit is amazing
Indian motorcycles are bad ass For the record I have owned Harleys And they are okay but it's the same thing over and over again with them Same engine over priced Sold my Harleys got a victory & Indian
I Live in Germany, wanted to buy a Harley. but i don’t want to drive what every old men of 45 drives ;-) and i want a real bike, so made in the USA. so i thinkg a Indian is perfect. and in europe most people don’t know it ;-)
@@theshakeandbake Might as well chew it up. I only got about 5000 out of the original Kenda. Yes, it performed well, but with hard acceleration, it wore down quickly (not to mention a few good burnouts). Now I have a Dunlop American Elite, and it's great! They have a harder compound down the center of the tread, making for long life - and you can't even tell that I've done several burnouts with it - the tread still looks new after 4000 miles.
@jpstyle240 how do I post a pic of my bike?? I guess this isn't Facebook. LOL. Mine: 2018 scout bobber flat black. Vance & Hines slash slip-ons, S&S air box, Pro tune, Corbin seat, Bitubo shocks, Eagle halo LED headlight, air horn, luggage rack.. LOVE THIS BIKE!!!!
The moment when he describes how riding can lift your spirit up, when you feel down...priceless. I need that.
@jpstyle240 out of interest you look a tall guy, I'm 6ft5 how you finding it & do you recommend it, great vid by the way.
True just a 20 min ride made my whole day better !!

Great review! Appreciate how you talk about defensive riding and gear and how bikes lift the mood. This is true stuff! Love this bike and your mods. Great job!
You said something I always say. A motorcycle ride is so relaxing you can dodge some bad feelings when you ride.
“Pick up chicks like I usually do”... the balls on this man. Dope bike tho
Right up his ass
@@tiberiumsunwars1487 You're creepy bro.
Lmao I caught that too
Anyone remember the twins in the film Slapshot?
it takes balls to say you like to pickup chicks?
Congratulations on getting that endorsement & welcome to the Brotherhood of Riding
Riding my Scout always puts a smile on my face!
I didn’t know Jesus rode a bike. I’ll be damned.
Lmao

What are you talkin' about, it's weird Al..
Jesus rides but the devil owns.

Also lane filtering ( splitting ) in all but one state in Australia is legal- this has only changed in around the last 4 years or so .

One good looking bike. Nice encouraging video for those like me who are still debating whether to get into motorcycling or not.

Cool video very honest. I appreciate that. Your seat fits the look of your bike very well.
It’s 72 foot pounds of torque. Awesome bike bro. Great vid.
I couldn't decide if I want that seat. There are very few images of the scout with that seat. Thanks! You sold me. It looks sick! I'm doing it!

So many options. Just got rid of my Vulcan 800 classic. Cant decide between Victory, Indian, Honda or Triumph. I like all there bikes.
I would probably pick the Indian out of that list

Hey Shake quick question, how comfortable is the rear seat for your passengers? I'm deciding if I should go with Corbin or Indians's rear seat.

I have finally decided to make the Indian scout bobber my first bike. Where did you get it. Only Indian dealer I know of near LA is in OC. Thanks

It would've been nice to see more of the bike, but, very informative.
I have the same one as yours and I agree.
Yes!!! Keep riding!

Great review on my dream bike. I really enjoyed watching your video. You sound very intellectual and well educated with your explanations. Thanks for the review!
when ppl talk about HD they never mention Indian BUT when we talk Indian motorcycles? yeah
I love indian's...

Lane splitting in Colorado is illegal. People drive crazy here so I won't even test that chance.
Haha! Just stumbled upon your video bro..I cant get away from you and your 240..lol..dope Indian..
Great review and story .However how you got 5000 miles on that rear tire is almost unbelievable. I burned mine within 4000 miles.

Sweet!! I love the bike, ride safe and enjoy it Dude! 👍👍
It’s dangerous but only unsafe as you make it...driving my car in mall parking lots is dangerous, but I make it safe by being extra careful.

Solid ride ❤
@jpstyle240 My pleasure ❤!!! Enjoy that beautiful beast!
Did u have to re-tune for slip on’s ?
Do you think this is too much bike for a beginner?
Thanks I sat on the scout sixty a few days ago and it felt wonderful. I believe on the 2019 models ABS is standard.
Where did you get that helmet from? Name??
Simpson m30 bandit helmet
THE SHAKE AND BAKE thanks. I’m about to take my class and get my license. And this is the exact bike I’m purchasing. I just wanna add a nice deep growl to it. Nothing too outrageous.

Nice video first timer. Two wheels are the way to go. Sounds like you might be hooked, lol.

You sure are!!!
Nah lol
We were filming in some random place in downtown Los Angeles.

What the name of that corbin seat? Can you share the link?

Your vid more about u than the bike
Scout > piglet
Liquid cooled engines last longer.
5000 miles and you still have tread on the rear tire??! Clearly, you aren't doing enough burnouts! LOL
