On this episode of Wisconsin Foodie, our very own Kyle Cherek helps judge the annual Wisconsin Grilled Cheese Competition in Mineral Point, WI. Lorin Toepper Ph.D, guides us along as we see grilled cheeses from some of the best the state has to offer. Meanwhile, over in Madison, Alisa Toninato is slinging molten metal to make skillets in the shape of all the United States. We join her on an iron pour, and she shows us how she makes her Wisconsin skillets.
Sadly, after filming the 2013 Wisconsin Grilled Cheese Competion, Lorin Toepper Ph.D. passed away on January 3rd, 2014. Our hearts go out to all of his friends and family.

Those pans are more for show tho. The problem is you can't cook the other side of any thing with it and still have whatever that was in it keep its regular shape of the state. unless the state is round or square. LOL
