Best Cadence best description best overall commentary. And no one will forget, best storytellers. Best friends, you could tell, and they both had said as much many many times.

I was a 49ers fan during that Montana/Young era, but in fairness to the Bills, they beat the 49ers the one time they played during that stretch in the early 90s (‘92). Everyone hoped those two would meet in the Super Bowl…it was the first game in history where neither team punted (feat’s been equaled a couple times since then). I can’t recall where the game was played). Bills also should have faced 49ers in their first Super Bowl, but of course the Roger Craig Fumble happened against the Giants🥲

I remember the nfc championship game(I think 2002 season) between the eagles & bucs. Everybody knew whoever won that game was gonna be SB champions cause the winner was gonna play the raiders......which didn't have a chance in hell to beat either the bucs or eagles. I also predicted the bucs would win the superbowl that year & I was right. Of course I picked em the year before as well and I was dead wrong.

@@billyhill7630 The hit you're talking about (from Leonard Marshall, legal hit by the way), put Montana out for TWO seasons in 91 and 92. He probably could have played in 92, but Steve was on his way to having perhaps one of the 10 greatest seasons in in qb history (same for the team as well, they went 14--2 and were favored in against Dallas in an NFC Championship game in hosted in Candlestick). I remember the one game Montana played in '92--the final MNF game of the year against the Lions (they had clinched home field by that time of course). 49ers won 24-6, and Joe threw a TD to Brent Jones that would be his final TD pass in that uniform (good trivia to store away). Good times...

I don't think it's coincidence that the Niners beat the Cowboys twice in '94 season. Norton Jr. had in depth knowledge of the Cowboys playbook and personnel. Switzer was in a hotel in some oddball city in America, and the secret service came up to him in the lobby. He had no idea what they wanted, but apparently Bill Clinton had football on his mind, and wanted to talk to someone who knew the game. Switzer was the man, and the secret service went to work finding him, and taking him to the White House. At least, that's the story. Wahi' Valleys
