That fan idea would be legit.. even better if you could customize a controller to power the fan on and off, aka pressing/holding the trigger turns fan on & then releasing the trigger powers it off. Probably could do this without wiring the controller to it persay by using a software to do it when you press & release that trigger button, then the software sends signal to fan via a wireless switch to toggle it on and off. This should work good for racing games since you usually would just be sitting to do it anyway unlike other VR games where you may be moving all around during gameplay.

I am VR use since 2017 literally because of sim racing and on top of that did enjoy some gems like HL Alyx, Gunman Contracts, TWD Saints and sinners, but sim racing is bread and butter of VR probably for flights sims as well.
It is totally ridiculous that 2 recently released racing sims do not offer native VR support with the ever increasing popularity of VR amongst the sim racing community. VR is not only immersive but it can also be more convenient and cost effective than having 1 or 3 monitors fixed to a racing rig. It can also be more accessible for those who are getting into sim racing for the first time who may not have a rig or the room for one. You can race on your sofa with just a wheel stand pro and be at Silverstone in Senna’s McLaren MP4.
I will give it another go, funny thing is I used to be a computer geek and everyone came to me to fix thier computer issues, now I can not figure out this whole Discord way of life now...I guess my age might be showing 😆@@neeko18
Would be great if you added more information about how to get the specific games working in VR with UEVR. UEVR wouldn't even detect the ride5 process for me, (watched your other video on UEVR). Yes its a shame many of the games don't come with native support.
This game looks phenomenal, I'm running old PCVR hardware but I'd love to give this a go! Idea for a future video, would love to see a "state of the game" for Bonelab mods... it feels like the entire VR world was so hopeful for big, beautiful mods-or even full games built in-engine-to come out via Bonelab, but I just haven't heard anything on that front. Is the stuff that's come out of Bonelab's modding scene even noteworthy?

I just tried this. It is the best VR experience I have had. I screamed in happiness! =D Thank you so much for this video. I am an experienced motorcycle rider with lots of trackday experience and when I first played Ride 5, I could almost not get around a single lap. I crashed constantly even with all the driving aids. However, enter UEVR... On my first time in VR I did several laps on a superbike without a single crash - high speed. It is mindblowing how much easier it is in VR. It just felt natural. I used an Xbox controller in both cases. The most important thing about riding a bike is to be aware of your vision and look where you are going. Especially around hairpins. I love it I love it!! This game needs offical VR support like the desert needs the rain.
so when you use UEVR mod do it work str8 out the gate or you gotta do some tweaking

@@WorldHayes-VR I followed the instructions on discord for the game and disabled anti cheat, but I think that was about it. It has injected properly without anti cheat.
It's the Isle of Man - a race held every year in Ireland. The real-life race is a dangerous race, for certain, and there have been many racers that have lost their lives in this race. It's definitely one of the crazier races ever.
Without official VR support I won't be trying it, because it's just way too much hassle getting all this stuff setup, but it looks pretty dang impressive.
As someone that owned 7 motorbikes and rode for 30 years, the visuals are pretty damn realistic. Sound, no, not even close. Crashing, most definitely not (1 broken leg and 3 motorbike write offs and 2 slide outs from water on road), specially given several people have died doing the Isle TT.
Tbh all the racing games I play support VR and even Eurotruck Sim 2 has VR support. I think these days all good racing Sim games should have VR support.
I live here (Isle of Man - not British) and was riding these roads this week. The actual race you're doing, the Southern 100, is happening literally as I this :)
Along with MFS, racing sims are the most demanding games in VR. Lemans Ultimate and EA WRC promised us VR support and we still don't have after several months. A driving simulator with photorealistic graphics and real city maps in VR would be incredible.
@@R83TV You would think that it would be there at launch since this title is basically a RF2 reskin. Anyways I want VR that looks/works even better then AMS2. I really hope that they built AC2 with VR in mind and that we get true next gen graphics.
One issue I’ve always had with sport bike games both VR and regular, as a person who has had a sport bike for 15 years, is that it always feels like your driving on ice when you lean into a turn or have a turn transition. No one gets this right in the game. They have the bike lean like crazy, yet the turn radius is that of a damn school bus.
Maybe one of these days UEVR can be expanded to other game engines. Then it can be called Universal Game Engine VR, though a section of engines would probably have limited support like having camera and gamepad only.
That’s really cool. I live right by the Southern 100 course and they’re absolutely spot on with the roads. The buildings are all in the right places, but totally wrong. They nailed the bus shelter at the crossroads though 😅
As a biker the main thing that looks wierd about this is you aren't leaning in your seat at all when the bike leans. Also a huge part of biking is changing the gears with your feet, revving braking and clutch control. So that's like 80% of the true experience basically missing.
You could use pedals from a racing wheel I suppose. Also, you can use controller binds and bind left and right to the turning I suppose; but that would be a bit of an annoying thing to set up.
You gottah lean farther down for corners. And when you enter the turn let off the throttle a bit and cut the corner and then throttle again when coming out of it.
Ride is brilliant! (but damn difficult)... I've got a Pimax 5K, which is a massive heavy thing, but still weighs about the same as my bike-helmet does and works great with the 200° FOV. I ride a MV F3-800, and the in game version of it is perfect!
I thought the goblet squat was about opening up the hips under load a bit more each time, kinda calibrating core activation and emphasizing stability/control in the deeper range. I pretty much just do what Pavel and Stuart McGill tell me, as I shovel aggressively all day and have had a bulging disc, which I don't want to experience again.
when turning you cant let go of the gas. Let go of the gas and break a little but once you lean where you need to be then jam on the gas so it sticks to the ground and turns for you
This game looks amazing. I'm a VR noob, just got a Quest 3 and love it. How do I go about getting this game since it isn't in the meta store to purchase?
i wonder if controlls can be mapped to gyro of each controller. that way you can grab each controller like part of the bike handle and do the realistic movements of throttle and movement. game looks mind blowing! i am still waiting for the whole UEVR thing to get more performance and stability, but cant wait to run this baby on my 3090 at 120hz
Just tried for about 50th time to get on the discord for flat2vr and everytime I try to do the agreement page the SUBMIT button at the bottom is not working? ANY help please Benjo Thanks
I'm saving up for one. I'm legally blind and disabled. I used a PSvr (my only vr experience) once and the crazy thing is I could see better even through the older PSvr. I want that experience with the quest 3. Just 360 video of a sunset must be incredible. I'm going blind. It's a slow burn. I need this upgrade.
UEVR really is a revelation for the platform. So many great UE5 games coming this year that will likely work with it. Imagine playing that new Captain America / Black Panther game in VR. Probably going to need a 5090 to do so but will be worth it!
Thanks for sharing Mr Benjo :) I'm an X motorcyclist but can't ride at the moment because I don't have a brick garage to keep a bike in from the adverse Scottish weather. However this demo is an alternative!! I wanted to ask - if I just want a couple of bike simulations would the 128gb set be enough memory?? Thanks for your advice!
0:07 the simple answer to that acient old question is Motion Sickness! IRL there is no coaster to hard for me, but in VR motion sickness kicks in immidiately. Tried to play a "rollercoaster VR" nah this is just impossible to do.
Tried to get this working in the beginning of this weekend with moderate success due to my old hardware but eventually ended up with good old Wipeout Omega Collection on PSVR as so often when it comes to the question of my favourite VR racing game.
Quick tip for getting better, get all your braking done before a corner, then tip it in, then throttle up through and out of the corner gradually depending on bike/grip level! (Probably most like a RWD car to be fair) Bikes aren't like cars though, try to keep steering inputs to a minimum when cornering, and certainly try not to brake much whilst doing steering inputs. Hope that helps.
Ok. Oculus 3. But what else do we need to get these gsme you showing . Ask you same question on the canoe game ..plz help. I can go buy if I new ..yes I'm not clue up on tech. Cheers
The devs for another recent motorbike game, TT Isle of Man (which also looks great), were asked if they would provide a VR mode and they said they'd considered it but decided against it because riding a bike in VR caused too much motion sickness.
You look to be using a tank-mounted camera. If there's another camera option that puts your view inside the helmet of the rider, that's the one you really want to use to really get the feel of riding a real motorcycle.
Wonder if there will be a adventure-riding game / sim. Long way round kinda deal where you travel coast to coast, having to deal with all those challenges.
3:16 it's on the Isle of Mann it's the Southern Faces held in August not the TT The road is mapped perfectly but ALL motorcycle games are basically unplayable
Great review. I don't have RIDE 5 yet, but I do have other RIDE games that have the UNREAL engine. This is something I will be getting into very soon is making my RIDE games and any other UREAL engine based game work with UEVR injector software. This is so awesome. Why the developers can't do this natively in the game is beyond me. But anyway, thanks for showing RIDE 5 works with UEVR. Note: I will be like you, I am not a bike racer, so I need to learn how to do corners with bikes. Take care.
Im completely brand new to VR, dont even have a system yet and sort of just trying to figure out if its for me or not before making an investment. My question is: is there like an actual motorcycle controller that you can use for games like this? Im talking like one that you can get on, lean, throttle, shift, etc. I was in a bad wreck years ago and have the biggest urge ever to ride like I used to, but its just physically and psychologically never going to happen in real life ever again, so Im hoping VR can fill this void in my life. Live to ride, ride to live 🤙🏽🏍
In real live the trick to corners is to enter at the right angle and throttle through ... the wheels bite the atr more than you think ... it's getting over the fear I guess :)
@@BeardoBenjo If you haven't tried it already, Assetto Corsa is the ultimate VR racing sim for PC. The number of car and track mods is insane, and the quality of a vast majority of them is fantastic. @@BeardoBenjo I think building a DIY one would be an interesting project, the two main areas that would be challenging would be the control's on the handle bars and the leaning of the bike, if it's possible to buy a bike controller set of handle bars that came with gear shifter pedals then that would eliminate that problem, but I think having a way to stiffen up the leaning of the rig based on how fast you are travelling would add just a bit more realism to the feel of a motorbike. I really want to try out dirt rally in VR with steering wheel, pedals and gears, but I may also have to look into being fed through a tube as ide probably never want to come off the thing lol

@@greaper1878 Damn, I wrote a really long reply detailing how it all went, and TH-cam seems to not have allowed it - prob too long. I did get it working, however the frame rate was too low, I'll try CarbonatedTurtle's idea of changing from Native Stereo to
Synced Sequential, later today and let you know how it went. :)
Bargain just got it!
I am VR use since 2017 literally because of sim racing and on top of that did enjoy some gems like HL Alyx, Gunman Contracts, TWD Saints and sinners, but sim racing is bread and butter of VR probably for flights sims as well.
WRC games are great too!
Also the map reader adds immersion without HUD.
Def need more VR racing games!
1:56 yep. That's what it looks like in the seat beard. Except the crashing. The crashing is worse, lots worse. And hurty.
It would truly be helpful if you did a step-by-step on how to do this. I have yet to get a single title working with UEVR
Have you joined the discord? The setup is really simple. Just inject the file and wait for it to load
This is almost impossible unless you avoid Unreal 4 un5 games.
I will give it another go, funny thing is I used to be a computer geek and everyone came to me to fix thier computer issues, now I can not figure out this whole Discord way of life now...I guess my age might be showing 😆@@neeko18
they just content mine. they not concerned with helping anyone
The circuit is the Isle of Man Southern 100 and it looks very accurate to real. I wish for VR cars on the TT Course
Rfactor 2 has tt course full mod
Assetto Corsa has TT. Run whatever vehicle you want.
Interesting, how do you get the vr to work?
I have the Headset but I'm a bit disappointed with the type of VR games.
@@maydaygoingdown5602 uevr mod
so when you use UEVR mod do it work str8 out the gate or you gotta do some tweaking
@@WorldHayes-VR I followed the instructions on discord for the game and disabled anti cheat, but I think that was about it. It has injected properly without anti cheat.
When you corner you look where you want to be past the corner. Also I believe that track is modeled after Ulster
I would love to build a 6dof motorcycle sim!!! VR WHEELIES!!
I have a 4 Dof Motion Sim with Yaw and Sway, its fantastic in VR in Racing games
I only have 2 DOF but it on an actual bike rig I build.............. th-cam.com/video/35u9CrecNrs/w-d-xo.html
This looks fantastic. I've struggled with bike games in the past, but I would love to play this in psvr2.
i love when ultra realistic games are reviews on this channel. pcvr becomes fun again for a while. until i have to find another decent game
Sorry are you critiquing crashing not being realistic in a computer game on the basis of it not physically harming you?? 😂😂😂
Yeah, the visuals are not holding back the immersion, it's the lack of gaming peripherals specific to motorcycle racing games that are usually missing
I'm sorry people did not die playing a video game? lol
Lmmfao. Just drive with the goggles on. Like play this game while you actually drive. There's your full immersion, dickwad.
@@you2be839presumably you can sync up any peripherals you already use for these sorts of games.
This is sick
Im gonna download this
This really does look impressive and as you say could easily be roads in the UK. Never really tried bike sims but wow.
Not only do i use a fan but a custom rocking 🐴 w/ the rockers sideways. Gives you the real leaning into the corners experience 😁🤣
The Southern 100 is a course in the south of the Isle of Man. A fast and sometimes fatal course.
Players already made mods for Le Mans Ultimate. So it's just the Devs that need to inject it into the game
Impressive graphics. But I want to see crash deformation, debris and realistic accidents with proper physics. That would make it more fun.
what about the iom TT game? Does that have a VR option?
As a biker the main thing that looks wierd about this is you aren't leaning in your seat at all when the bike leans. Also a huge part of biking is changing the gears with your feet, revving braking and clutch control. So that's like 80% of the true experience basically missing.
You could use pedals from a racing wheel I suppose.
Also, you can use controller binds and bind left and right to the turning I suppose; but that would be a bit of an annoying thing to set up.
Or if you have a steering wheel and pedals, you could sit on wheel and steer by leaning then 😂 sounds dumb but I'm really tempted to try
Looks cool. Can you change the weather settings. Being from the UK I'd like to pretend that it's NOT raining for once.
Also wasn't big on racing games, but sitting in a F1 car and racing at Monaco in VR on Assetto Corsa was the proverbial game changer.
when turning you cant let go of the gas. Let go of the gas and break a little but once you lean where you need to be then jam on the gas so it sticks to the ground and turns for you
This game looks amazing. I'm a VR noob, just got a Quest 3 and love it. How do I go about getting this game since it isn't in the meta store to purchase?
You'll have VRIDER SBK available for Quest 3 possibly this week on App Lab.
i wonder if controlls can be mapped to gyro of each controller. that way you can grab each controller like part of the bike handle and do the realistic movements of throttle and movement.
game looks mind blowing! i am still waiting for the whole UEVR thing to get more performance and stability, but cant wait to run this baby on my 3090 at 120hz
Connect a USB fan to the computer, controlled by the bikes MPH ;)
UEVR really is a revelation for the platform. So many great UE5 games coming this year that will likely work with it. Imagine playing that new Captain America / Black Panther game in VR. Probably going to need a 5090 to do so but will be worth it!
That's amazing, it's not England, it's Castletown on the Isle of Man, I think, from what I saw.
The worst bit about VR and racing games, is now I can't play any racing game that isn't in VR :(
Same, I refuse to even try them. They just seem so boring on a flat screen. Currently I'm into Assetto Corsa OG in VR and can't get enough.
I'm guessing this is the Isle of Man TT track. They could really use a lean mechanic as well. It would be really good.
This should be able to use the controllers connecto to each other like a the steering on a bike.... that would be awesome!
6:44 The way this looks at this part! You've got to be kidding me!😮
Quick tip for getting better, get all your braking done before a corner, then tip it in, then throttle up through and out of the corner gradually depending on bike/grip level! (Probably most like a RWD car to be fair)
Bikes aren't like cars though, try to keep steering inputs to a minimum when cornering, and certainly try not to brake much whilst doing steering inputs. Hope that helps.
Need this for PSVR2!
Ok.
I tried it also few months ago, and got really bad sea sickness, even I'm very used to VR. Looks freat though.
Oh shit really?! I can’t remember the last time I got motion sickness in VR, possibly back on the original PSVR, I’ve become immune 😅
Just got my first-ever VR yesterday...this s**t is pretty good.
on the straight bits I would say its very realistic from memory of blasting down country roads back in the day.
Wonder if there will be a adventure-riding game / sim. Long way round kinda deal where you travel coast to coast, having to deal with all those challenges.
I still have to ask is this in stereoscopic 3D? Can you percieve depth of 3D space using your mods in the headset?
Take care.
You tried the VRider beta yet?
They need to make a motorcycle controller for these kind of games! Clutch, shifter, throttle, front and rear brakes!
SPOT ON! Simulation games without VR you just can't take seriously, because there is no bigger immersion than VR at the moment!
Idk for sure but this is the isle man Tt track, those real life onboards are crazy
Isle of Mann . That’s dope .i ride in canyons on R1 .gotta check this out
In real live the trick to corners is to enter at the right angle and throttle through ... the wheels bite the atr more than you think ... it's getting over the fear I guess :)
project cars 2 with quest 3 and steering wheel is awesome and it has native vr support
Still need to try that one, I’ve got a wheel and shifter now so I bet that’s amazing
@@BeardoBenjo project cars 1,2,3 are vr supported but the best one in my opinion is pc2
@@BeardoBenjo If you haven't tried it already, Assetto Corsa is the ultimate VR racing sim for PC. The number of car and track mods is insane, and the quality of a vast majority of them is fantastic. If you get the program Content Manager, it makes setting up and launching everything right from your desktop so easy too.
It's one thing to watch you play games, but would really appreciate if you provided a bit more detail on how you get the game set up.
if this game can be played with wheelbase and motion simulation platform it will be awesome!
Standby for that exact video 😁, I've done Isle Of Man TT 3 in my rig with wheel base, video is on my channel.
That is literally my drive home. How odd. I didn't know this game existed. It's the Southern 100 race in the Isle of Man. The guys that race this IRL are nuts.
This is on my list of games to try with the UEVR mod. I’m playing Jedi Fallen Order at the moment and loving it!
Isle of Man….Southern 100 Road Race circuit, Now the only mass start road race on the IOM, as opposed to the TT races which are a time trial…and set off individually 👍👌🇮🇲
Hi Beardo! Check MX vs ATV Legends or All Out. Both are great with UEVR.
Surely this game needs to be played on a bike sim rig in vr to get a proper realistic feel, like having a steering wheel and pedals in a car game.
I didn’t even know a bike sim rig existed, but in theory you could team that with UEVR for a ridiculously immersive experience
I really really wish I could VR in racing games - but sadly I'm someone who throws up within 20 seconds & I genuinely then have to lay in bed for 4 hours with the room spinning feeling absolutely terrible. Tried training myself over the past couple of years but no matter what I'm instantly violently sick 😭 So pleased for you guys that can somehow magically cope ! Looks a great game otherwise.
I wish there was a VR mod for Forza horizon 4 and 5! That would be amazing in VR!
That looks awesome. Speaking of genres you don't tend to go for, ever tried VTOL VR? Don't recall seeing a video on it from you? Me and my friends play it and even tho we suck, we always have a good laugh. Would be fun to see you and the gang up to some multiplayer shenanigans 😊
Head strap? Looks comfy and able to flip up.
I’ve been using iracing with the oculus 3 and it’s the only way to play. Downside is, after 4 months, 3-4 hours every night, I need glasses to read now.
