Mam, not adding cardamom powder in this? Any reason? And whenever we make any recipe which has a major part of Jaggery, if adds pinch of salt, it enhance the flavor & sweetness. very nice. I can see it is Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmyyyyyyyyy. 😋😋😋 I am fond of roasted peanuts & its biproducts. Crush Chikki is my favorites. Thank you.

Don't know where I went wrong, but my jaggery didn't crack so well but it got over burnt.. now the chikis are crispy but the taste of jaggery Over burnt is dominating the taste of peanut... Can u help me out mam with this., So that I can make it better next time
Hi Chechi....I tried it imm ..but..... Disastrous..! I checked in water..was hard but no sound on breaking. So I cooked more...and checked agn...was stiff ..broke it...no sound..so I stirred the frothing syrup for 2 more minutes and stirred in the peanut powder....when I transferred it on to the chakla...and tried to roll it with the belan...what happened is hilarious!.... It rolled like sand under the belan..... What cd have gone wrong?
The only question is - if there’s any alternative to sugar syrup or jaggery. Xanathan gum, Psyllium husk don’t bring out the desired crisp to these recipes.
Any idea how to make it soft? My mother-in-law‘s teeth is weak. She can’t eat hard stuff. She loves peanut chikki a lot. It’s almost 4 years she’s not had this because of her teeth. Please let me know a way to make this chikki for her. Thank you.

Can we substitute jaggery with normal dark brown sugar? There's fewer and smaller hard bits, but I think it's the same thing, am I right?

When the jaggery is melted, for checking the consistency it should become a soft ball when added to water... Then it will be soft to make...
