I ordered some and saw that some tabs are a bit bigger than the other ! Do the bigger tabs go on the back of the control arm ? And the small ones in the front ??
Any Compatibility issues with Dirt King Lower control arms? Any tips on matching up the Octagons to the original Cams to get it close as possible to get it good enough to get it aligned ? 3rd gen taco
In some cases yes but usually no. It really depends on your bushings, suspension setup, lift, etc. The best advice I have is to bring it to an alignment shop and have them verify everything.
@@kilogolfmike8095 they don't sit flush because the Octagons are 1/4" and the factory cams are 3/16" tall. It's fine to leave it as is, there are 0 issues with the way it's set up. If we made the cams 3/16" they would be d when you tightened everything.
Great video but I just want to mention that this guide is missing torque specs. Stover Nuts run on torque will need to be accounted for. Whats great about this kit though it that it uses a normal bolt which should be able to handle more torque, which has a higher clamp load which means the alignment will hold better.
@@KPOffroad you need to add run on torque to the factory bolt spec otherwise you are not even matching factory spec. The manual/install instructions should mention this because of the Stover nut.
Nice very well explained, I just ordered last week the complete kit!
No way!!! I just got these in the mail!! So pumped for this video. These guys customer service is on point!!!
We just got the video done too! Glad you're excited! And yes, we do have the best customer service 😉

Timmy the tool man approved, I just purchase a set, Thanks for the video.
Curious your welder setting were at for this?
That's a very good looking product. Awesome instructional video!
So bolt and hexagon only kit gets rid of the round alignment tabs right?

You will need to match them up with the factory ones. On most new Toyotas the small ones go on the back LCA pocket and the large ones go on the front.
Sorry if this is a stupid question but why are the cam tab key seperate from yhe plate?
Wish yall made the Fj Cruiser bolt kit greasable id def buy the kit with the tabs and all.

The octagons don’t seem flush with my 06 tundra factory tabs. Should I grind them off and install the new tabs?

Torque specs are going to vary from vehicle to vehicle. We recommend using whatever the factory torque spec is as to not damage your control arms.

Whats the purpose of that part? What if i leave it stucked/broken? Is the vehicle dangerous to drive? Thank you
