For real this is the most in-depth I've seen so far and you do it inside your house and you actually show people that you don't need all this fancy fancy equipment yes you have some nice dremels but it can all be done if you put your mind to it like I don't know how you don't have millions of people can you speed the videos up I can just imagine how many hours that takes you and that is one of the cleanest cleanest KX250 is I've ever seen and there's a lot of content on TH-cam LOL
Really enjoyed this in depth tear down. I have a '92 which looks very similar. How wonderfully simple these machine are. Going to keep this video in my archive for reference. Nice work!
Absolutely the most beautiful bike I’ve ever seen. I had a 95 kx250 back in high school that I spent a lot of time wrenching on and seeing the parts go together in this video brings back memories.
I love when they redo older bikes.I have a 97 Honda cr 250 that still looks good and run like hell but one day I would love to have you redo it like the kx. Get back at me about it when you get a chance
WOW this is the most gorgeous retro bike i've ever seen. This green is insane and odly get along very well with the blue. It's like you bring the 90's back to life for a couple of minutes. I was realy into it ! Congratulation for this amazing job and skills. You got one more follower !
And then l rode it in the mid! Yeehaw! I just finished rebuilding my 95 kx250 and l love riding it. I didn’t come close to your level of detail. Nice work!!!
The craftsmanship in this video is phenomenal this is the best repair I have ever seen !! Great effort and awesome bike! ,that is beyond showroom condition
It was so satisfying. It felt like riding a two-stroke for the first time all over again (in a good way). I didn't have the chance to ride this bike before I bought it because it was in sad condition as you see in the video. And I'd never ridden a KX250 before. So I didn't know what to expect. Once it fired up and I got on the throttle I was taking it easy. The power is way more explosive than my CR250 (at least in the low-to-mid-range). The rear wheel kept spinning so you I had to be gentle on the throttle in the turns. But man, it was fun.
@@madmarc I have a bunch of photos but they aren’t hosted anywhere. What’s your procedure for the cases? Mine were pretty ugly and I used a wire wheel on a dremel and WD40. They came out alright but not OEM new. I was also curious how you “blued” your forks? I almost anodized my forks but decided I didn’t want to put that kind of money into the bike so I stripped them and cerakoting them instead.
@@someoneyouknow96 I have a video here on cleaning the engine cases. th-cam.com/video/PPf3dul4Rf8/w-d-xo.html basically I used fine steel brushes and a Dremel, but if I had to do it over again I would just use small abrasive wheels from eBay, which is what I used to clean and polish all the other parts. For the forks, I had them anodized by a local shop.
@@madmarc ill check that video out when I get home. Your forks looked awesome!!! I thought about cerakoting my forks blue but the blue was the wrong color and it just doesn't look like anodozing.
Maybe it’s just me, I enjoyed the fact that this guy is able to paint and repair his machine in his living room! Wish I were in your shoes. No wife kids etc enjoy your builds!
Very nice job of both building the bike and the editing of your video no fluff no bullshit just perfect mate can't wait to see more I have a 95kdx220r I'm restoring currently very similar and a 92 kx250 for a later project good work few ideas you gave me in there
@@madmarc that's the reason why I chose the drz400sm it's reliability and maintance is just unmatched I also had a crf450 sold it .do some on road and off road videos with the drz400sm .
Just noticed this, I have a 94 kx250. It was 1 of 10 team bikes sent by Kawasaki early 1994 before delayed production units hit the USA . Was so hyped I went with mechanics to pick up crates at Ohare airport. I begged for my crate be dropped at my house right then.🤤They didnt, I got it the next morning and have never let her go! After some FMF Emler alone time, and dialing suspension, never before or after found a ride more suited to me. Smooth , explosive, fine, and brutal, and with the optional factory suspension kit, DAM I can Quad now and not break frames every week!! Me- 1994
This is what these old gems deserve this was a different era of design and build quality I have a 98 KLX it runs sweet but I’d only dream of going through it and doing this to it maybe one day, nice video friend great talent you are gifted here. 👍
Woah, what an amazing job, a friend and I rebuilt his 2001 Suzuki 125 and it was so fun, I learned so much. it's thr attention to detail and doing things the right way rather than the quick way which made it so fun.
Beautiful work it looks like it came off the showroom floor and probably rides just as good.. but check into dry ice blasters! Could be immensely helpful for you
Best bike restoration ever seen.... That's really hard work from one man.... Hats off bro.... That's a masterpice... You are a good bike engineer 🖤😎🏍️👌👌👌👌💯
Wow, looks amazing, I redone a 94 about 3 years ago using all Kawasaki internal parts it was tough to find some parts, you don't realize how many things have been discontinued until after you start a project like this. Nice work🤘
So nice when the content is exactly how the title states and not straight to someone talking and stroking their ego I can tell you spent hours on this quality edit man great job 5 stars
I LOVED my 1990 KX250! It was like a rocket ship from outer space! So flickable, that bike felt like part of me more than any other I've ever raced.......... 👍❤️
Best by far resto I've ever seen, yes it was quick but even if was 30 mins longer ive have stayed glued to it because it was very detailed indeed very well done 👏
Probably the best restoration i've seen. This is 100% going to blow up. The video, not the bike!

First video I've ever watched on TH-cam where I didn't have to fast forward and watched all the way to the end, impressed the entire time. Bravo!
It was fast forwarded for you. 😬
Couldn’t look any better, always loved the old kx.

Looking forward to see you smoke me on the trails as soon as it’s not dusty anymore. Awesome video, beautiful looking bike, a joy to watch.

All time favorite graphics was the early to mid 90s, the Golden Era of Motocross.
Nice! I restored a 99 KX250 a few years back for my trail ride. I just love the old 2 strokes.
This is the most satisfying bike build I've ever seen
One of the only people on here who actually restores the parts rather than getting all new parts. good job
