I am claustrophobic and my therapist recommended this channel as a medical treatment. It has been working, thanks Gentlemen. I couldn't even watch 30seconds of your videos last year, now I can just binge and my claustrophobia has gotten way less severe. Thanks Gents,

Gus commented that the potential worst feeling for most people is when your being pressed on top and bottom by rock. I was a geology major in college and did a lot of dry caving (only horizontal, no vertical). the one thing I'll never forget is having to crawl through a restriction (maybe 10 feet long, felt like forever) that was so narrow that my hard hat got stuck. Feeling yourself pressed on both sides is a really weird experience. You just have to focus on the task at hand and keep moving.

  • @BlueWorldTV

Dang. I mean this in the most respectful way possible, but I've been watching you guys for maybe 6 months now, and always saw Woody as this goofy diver guy, with a great sense of humor. But now, I see him in a whole other light. The guy's a juggernaut of a diver, and a beast. Watching this, he has absolutely no fear. I hope to get into diving, when I can afford it, and want HIM to be the one to teach me.

I'd love to see a full pre-dive, dive, and post-dive vid. Diving interests me thanks to yall, but I don't plan on learning soon due to other priorities. I'd love to see how you gear up, maybe an abridged prep (so as to not act as a blueprint for other first time or wanna be divers), and even your trek to the cave. Kinda like how there are 3D tours of houses, it'd kinda be like a virtual dive for us non-divers. I'm sure we'd get to see Woody prep and make sure everyone has their 2nd backup snorkel and even 3rd and 4th backup snorkel hahaha.

Squeezes are where I think caving becomes a bit crazy. Why does anyone think this is necessary?
I love visiting caves, mines, and tunnels as a tourist, and I really don't mind going into tight and dark places. But I draw the line at having to lie down when it's too low to crawl, or not being able to simply turn my body around and walk back the same way I came in.

I have never had the pleasure of diving as my lungs are compromised. In my 20-30's I worked at a dive shop/factory where I would glue and sew suits. I worked there 15 years. I dated a guy who was an instructor, he took me to an indoor pool and tried to teach me diving. Unfortunately with my lungs I just could not do it. I stumbled onto your channel a week ago and am so loving it,
    Keep well

Woody: “This is the point where I got stuck.”
I actually grunted when I heard that.

Haha, I let out a loud "F that!" Where before I had been just chanting that in my head. My heart is racing just watching!

Do they make dive computers where you can see your dive buddies info? That would be a cool feature if you could press a button and see how much air your friend has and things like that.

Wonderful video guys. I love your videos the best. Gus you're so super encouraging of Woody even though you couldn't participate in water. You're a great partner and friend. Woody you are too brave...

Very cool to see y'all using dive signals so effectively!
I highly recommend learning American Sign Language as well. The ability to have fully detailed conversations at depth is a benefit that many folks do not fully appreciate.
    Great video, loved your commentary

    "We die..."

Gus, thank you for asking that question. I don't dive at all but I love watching the video of others so I can see what I never will on my own. But when you are in these tight places I question - why? How is this fun?

Another great episode, Gus & Woody.
Woody; I’ve got to know your diet! Your dos and don’ts etc. You’re aging in a way that needs to be studied and documented, lol.
Mr. Gus; You’ve got serious presence in this format. Take this channel all the way!!

That was scary… My hobbies are knitting, crocheting, and I quilted for years. As you can guess, I’m a non diver,,,However.. I am so enjoying learning about a whole new world… It’s awesome…but diving is not something I would ever do…Even if I were not nearly 79yo. Thanks to both of you for showing me…and so many others…yiur world,

Hi guys-☀️I see this dive as great exposure & experience as a good strategic dive that will help practicing staying calm in tight cave situations of exploration. good exposure, good experience for the brain & body to perceive these situations.

I just want to say that I discovered your videos a few weeks ago and I've got inspired to try diving. I don't know if I will do it this summer, (I'm from Argentina) but it's certainly a plan, I already got information on who to do it with.
Apparently everyone at work is certified in diving lol Learned about it when I mentioned this idea.
Your videos are really instructive and amazing.

I would be freaking out being in such a tight space above ground, this would be an absolute night terror for me. I think I would just do cavern diving instead.
