The fly bridge cables. Who-da thunk it? I saw the letters "MC" on your throttle controls, stands for "Morse Control". Had one of those on the commodore's gig, but with a single lever for the single engine. Most of the Navy's landing craft had huge levers that you pushed forward and up or back and down for direction and the throttle was operated by twisting the same lever, as it was on the Mike-6 pusher boat i operated.
Your living the dream my friend. It is how i wanted to retire. I'm afraid i would need a lottery win to get there now; and yes, i would want two engines, two screws and two rudders, easier to handle than a single screw and a LOT easier to handle than an outboard or inboard-outboard.
There sure are a LOT of waterways to explore over there. I was following you today using Google maps and like me, you found inexpensive dockage near grocery stores. Don't need no expensive tourist eateries or rich, fancy boat clubs to enjoy the boating life. I live in Cleveland, Ohio by the way, right on Lake Erie. There aren't many places here to see by boat but if you go west to the islands area, there are more places to explore.

Yo Philip ( I'm guessing your name here a bit 🙂). My throttle controls are indeed Morse Controls. But they work a bit different than the ones you described. If I pull them out sideways, then I have selected neutral, and if I don't pull them out, they go into work, either forwards or back. If I turn the red knobs...to the left...they come off...(typing this sentence puts a grin on my face by the way 🙂). There are indeed a lot of waterways here in Holland, and the only restriction to explore them all, is the size of my boat, ( 37.72 x 13.12 x 9.84 feet). I cannot cruise them all, but if I wanted to it would take me more than 10 years to do so. I know Lake Erie from tv and TH-cam, it's an amazing place! I would love to visit the US with my boat, and there are some plans brewing in my head for the (near) future. Fun fact, the video where I was adrift was mostly viewed by Americans! So apparently Americans like the drama I went through when I was adrift 😜. I have visited the US for a month, 2 weeks driving a car on the east coast, and the rest of the time split between the Florida Keys-Fort liquordale...ehhh Lauderdale-Miami and New York.I had an awesome time there back in the year 2000! I am sorry to hear that you need a lottery my friend, I hope you will catch the winning ticket! Don't know if you saw it on the news or not but recently there was an accident involving a container ship and a bridge, blocking all passage to and from the port. I think, like all your other U.S. viewers may have thought.......... is this the captain of that ship?

@@philipangus088 You do not strike me as a " know it all" type of person to me Philip! And you are referring to the Francis Scott Key Bridge accident. That was in the news here in Holland for sure, ánd in the rest of Europe aswel! You must NOT forget that we Dutch people never have forgotten what the US ment to us in may 1945! Having said this, I do not promote politics on my TH-cam channel. There is more than enough SH!T going around to fill the planet 5 times over! I just want to live my life, and share a part of it with who ever is watching. I feel that people, worldwide, need to connect and interact with each other more. Internet can be a great tool...but it can also be a huge enemy. And when someone is thinking: is this the captain of that ship? I say: NOPE....my boat is more beautiful than that container thing! But....if it helps me to 1 million subscribers...then it was me! 😜🤣
