  • From the bed project I get to the galley again, with a few unwanted surprises!
I love it when ideas come to life!

Retractable stairs would open up storage space under the fridge or even let you place the fridge lower so that it doesn't block the window. When I cut a detail piece or use expensive wood, I usually cut a template out of cardboard and dry fit it! It is coming along nicely!

Hi there. I've looked into retractable stairs, but it's not a nice solution for my boat. That my fridge is blocking a window is for me not a big deal, I have plenty more windows left 🙂. Raising the stand hight of the fridge is a benefit to me, it makes acces and cleaning a whole lot easier. And like you, I also make templates when needed, but in this case I knew I had plenty of wiggle room. It sounds that you know what you are talking about...so no pressure for me... 😉😅 Thank you for watching and your comment! Have an awesome weekend!

    Hi Stephan.
There is so much detail going on here, i consider myself very lucky that TH-cam kind of pointed me to your channel a few weeks ago, because there are things i would have definitely overlooked and probably come back to me as a very costly lesson, if i get my own dutch barge :)
From the last episode in reply to the comment about Rembrandt, The Night Watch "WOW" with a capital W :) i understand how it would give 4k a run for the money, the park was out of this world, but the museum with The Night Watch has me counting my pennies to see when i can visit :)
I wouldn't worry about finding a girlfriend, as the saying in a movie said, if you build it, they will come. a Captain & Carpenter, they'll be beaten down the door or the plank :)
You live in an amazing country with equally amazing people and history on tap.

WAUW...you are going to buy a Dutch barge? That's awesome! Have you seen this channel? www.youtube.com/@canicebannon He bought himself a Dutch barge, and is rebuilding it. (I hope you stay with me and my channel of course 😉 The history of my country is extensive but not all is to be proud of of course. But Rembrandt is a highlight for us indeed. Visiting the Rijksmuseum is definitely worth it, and within 500 meters you wil find the Van Gogh museum aswel! If you arive by train, your "museum trip" starts at the Central train station here in Amsterdam. The architect ( Pierre Cuypers) who designed the station also designed the Rijksmuseum! Thanks for watching again 😀👍

@@theladyoflife That was pretty cool, i really appreciate the recommendation. I just subscribed to the channel, thank you :) 👍
i'm hoping to purchase in Amsterdam, then soak up as much of the history as humanly possible while there, then somehow get back to Ireland and make the Shannon a second home, it's all pretty much pie in the sky at the moment, but i guess that's how some goals begin ⚓
A gentleman called Hurd Hatfield 📽🎩partially brought me up, Holland & museums were about to be visited, but he passed away a few months beforehand.
He would have definitely sprung The Night Watch & Vincent Van Gogh when we arrived :)
