  • I go on an organized demolition rampage, as one thing leads to another.
But do I actually fix something, can I get a job done?
    Enjoy !

behoud je ruitewisser, als de wind verkeerd zit en het regent kan je ze nodig hebben (spreken uit ervaring), groetje uit Belgie

I found out about this stuff called JB Weld Steelstick. Does a great job of filling those bolt holes, hardens up like steel and can be sanded down flush with the deck afterwards. Cures in about an hour and no unsightly bolt heads to look at when your done. 🙂
When you tear something apart, you do a right job of it. LOL
I was watching a video of boating in Amsterdam and noticed a lot of boats with the word "Mokumboot" written on the side, so i looked it up and here is what it said, "Rent a boat in Amsterdam and "enjoy" our capital from the water. Hop on at one of our seven locations and "enjoy a wonderful boat trip" through the Amsterdam canals." Here is the video i was watching ( th-cam.com/video/bufERsstvFA/w-d-xo.html ). I laughed till i cried. I imagine, this is one canal intersection you would probably avoid. Ha ha ha ha ha

Boating in the centre canals of Amsterdam is no joke if you value your bout for sure 🙂I know that video, it was taken very close to the place I used to live in Amsterdam. Fortunately for me, my boat is too big, I can't get in most of the canals! That JB weld stuff is indeed a possibility, I will try that for sure Thanks for the tip! 🙂

I can't help but to mention my concern about the removal of that "pole" (stanchion) on the stern. It seems to me, it is a load-bearing upright and necessary for the structural integrity of the overhead. My head keeps tilting whenever i think about this. Anyway, give me feedback or tell me to bugger off for being such a butt-in-ski. I'm hoping i am helpful.

Phillip, don't worry about butting in-ski things mate, I like the interaction with my viewers! That stanchion was indeed load bearing...for a small hydraulic crane that was up there to hoist a dingy onto and of the davits. The overhang is only sticking out just 6 inches and made out of 3 millimeter thick steel. It is further supported by the standing sides on either side of it, and additionally supported by the steel doorframes in the back. A well behaved elephant could stand on it without braking or bending it 😂 Oh by the way, I looked into that JB Weld stuff...and for sure I will use it! There will be a full episode dedicated to the use of it, and I WIL mention you, because you gave me the tip! Thanks Phillip! (if you do not want me to mention you, if that's okay with you? Take care my friend!

@@theladyoflife oh yeah, the crane. (eye-roll) I forgot about that. Guess you don't really need that support. I was thinking of a heavy guest climbing up there for a sunbath, but if it can hold an elephant, i'll quit worrying about it. Ha ha
JB Weld makes a lot of product. For those holes, i would use the stick form. It is like a putty that you knead like dough to mix the hardener in. They also make adhesives and sealants, some made specifically for marine use, so look for that feature in the product.
As far as using my name is concerned, i am fine with that as long as you don't start getting charged more at the markets or start losing subscribers.
So okay, i will continue to convey my thoughts to you, glad i am able to contribute. So my other concern was with the removal of the windshield wipers. If you are planning to travel across that lake and get caught in a storm and start getting wind-driven spray over the bow, well, better to have and not need than to need and not have. Maybe a set of new blades would improve the looks. Okay, now i'm done. Ha ha ha
      Happy boating.
      :-)
