- This video is a showcase of the mod "Transformations Plus" created by Niro for The Binding of Isaac Repentance. Its goal is to buff all of the transformations in the game that feel a bit underwhelming for how rarely you get them in a run but without making them overpowered by any means.

Before you guys are coming at me for putting Conjoined/Spun into the thumbnail: no, I don't think they are bad transformation!!! The title says the mod buffs all bad transformations, not that it ONLY buffs those :P I just wanted to put all 3 unique pickup types of the mod in the thumbnail because it looks cool and symmetrical :D
i do think Conjoined is a bad transformation, and i'm tired of pretending its not.

@@beanslinger2 how so? its basically triple shot but with a much wider spread and a minor tears and damage down, the dps that you can get from conjoined massively outweighs the stat down you get from it

Imo Conjoined should spawn minisaacs from Giant Cell instead of random familiars on enemy kill. The Minisaac mechanic is so underrated it would be cool if it used some more light.

A buff for the adulthood transformation could give you the "depression" familiar.

I really don't think Beezelbub, Spun, bookworm, -or conjoined- transformations need buffs. But I will say those are some creative buffs
For "oh crap" It would be Nice to have a chance to replace rocks with poops or spawn a random type of poop in Boss rooms

I feel like bob transformation should also get an exlosion/ipecac immunity since the enemies it's based on have it.
I think you do get immunity from the bad gas released from mushrooms but bob’s poison bombs already give poison immunity
But that would make brains challenge to easy

Yeah seriously I was considering picking up the mod but they broke bookworm and buffed conjoined which is beyond unnecessary

And beezelbuth is another great transformation, being able to fly + charmed flies is something i have high value, even though brimstone damage for charmed foes was nerfed for 1.7.9 ( mostly becuase vis with the poke go totally schreded even chapter 4 bossfights )

People hate conjoined for some god forsaken reason 'oh no, slight damage and tears down for more tears.' or 'oh it is only good with homing'.
The adult transformations could grant you +25% stats to any "Dad" related item
the only dad item that grants a stat up in base isaak is dads lost coin

Definitely a good idea to buff some of the transformations, but I feel like at least some of them didn't necessarily need the boosting. For Adulthood, though, he needs a fancy business suit, and possibly a chance (or guarantee depending on how far the buff goes) to ignore damage from some enemies that actually aren't that scary from the perspective of an adult, like flies, worms, and spiders.
The problem is adult is almost a guaranteed transformation over the course of a full run, so long as you have IDed the pill. Getting three of the same pill is not hard at all.

I think adulthood transformation should spawn a Tainted-Esau-type familiar that charges at you but can't damage you and only hits enemies. Looking like a darkened out Isaac model being a representation of his immense childhood trauma.

I don't know if it was a Mandela effect but I always thought that the Leviathan transformation gave a damage increase and the Seraphin transformation gave a tear increase

@@naplockblubba5369 this plus a lot of items that trigger Leviathan come with a damage up, and some items for Seraphim give tears up. So you're decently likely to be getting a stat up at the same time as the transformation
I think it would be cool if adulthood made it so that when you enter a new floor coins will drop equal to half the rooms you cleared on the previous floor, kinda a reference to having a job in that more time invested clearing the floor = more money on the subsequent floor, sorta like a paycheck.
Another idea I had would be that the "Adulthood" transformation could allow access to a special shop room, kinda like gold member card, that exclusively sells from a pool of "adult" themed items. Mom's set of items, Dad's set of items, the syringes, Mushrooms, etc.
I feel like adulthood should give you a special shop at the end of the floor where for really high prices you can buy certain things. Like 15 cents for an identified tears up pill or a pick up that grants boosted damage for 3 rooms etc
Spun's transformation both, makes a bunch of sense and looks like a nice early game speedrun transformation where you can abosolutely demolish the boss of each floor. Rock bottom plus some fast picking up of these syringes would also be pretty good.
I feel like the oh crap transformation in this mod should have belzabub’s effect and the bob transformation should make you immune to explosions instead of poison locusts

Also someone elses idea of it being a tear up is great as well
Adulthood can be changed by "just" giving you a few coins of "Salary" after clearing all rooms on a floor
as its your "job" to clear the Floor of enemies
the deeper you go the more money you get
to not be useless in the "endgame" it would give you a slight increase in damage (+1) starting at the Womb

I think it would be interesting if Conjoined allowed your familiars to copy your tears. Imagine having, like, 10 familiars that all have Godhead Haemolacria or something.
Adulthood should drop an item from a special item pool themed around "Adult" items. Like Divorce Papers, Mom items, Gimpy, PHD, that kind of thing. Maybe it could drop a trinket too like Cancer, Members Card, you probably get the idea. I feel like it's such a rare transformation it should have an effect that's really impactful, or at least has the appearance of being impactful.
Also, honestly Guppy single handedly ruins the balance of transformations. Like, Leviathan/Seraphim/Beelzebub are all "you collected items you already wanted, here's flight for free plus some other benefits on top." Same with Bookworm and Conjoined "you touched items, here's free DPS." Guppy kinda ruins it because "you touched three items you already wanted, here's a transformation so powerful it's one of the most powerful effects in the game, possibly the biggest single upgrade of anything in the game." Bob is really the only transformation that feels worthless, poison damage is so rare and you need all of the bob items in one run, one of which you're likely to actively avoid. Like yeah Funguy and Oh Crap could be stronger but I was gonna take those items anyway, I'm happy to have the free 1 HP or neat mini brimstone.
Adulthood should have some sort of responsibility synergy like how taking care of Lost Soul Buddy grants you a reward on the next floor. Maybe gives you a mini Blood Puppy, a mini Isaac, and a little Guppy/Tammy/Cricket cat that all spawn on each new floor and keeping them safe and healthy nets you some sort of rewards. Maybe an increased chance for credit card hand P.H.D. spawns too.
I feel like adulthood can have a simple effect, on kill it can give a coffee (activates on hit items as well small speed boost in the room), a tax return (gives 3 coins but rare maybe like 2% instead of 10%), and slightly better shops.

idea for adulthood, 40% chance to spawn brother bobby or sister maggy in every room, plus small damage up for every familiar
Maybe the alduthood just make u have tear up when u buy a item , but every time u buy a item , all in the floor will need be purshased ,like t keeper
Adulthood should play a short cinematic of Isaac driving down to walmart and buying one of the milk items, before showing the Adulthood transformation card with "Can have" under it, with the effect of giving all farmiliars the effect of the milk you chose.
You should do a video on the mod "Improved and Reworked Foes", it's really high quality and would make for good videos imo
I always thought it'd be interesting if Adulthood came with a Wafer effect or some kind of invincibility. Shouldn't adults be able to take more damage than a child would?

I think for guppy they should increase the fly spawn chance back to 100 and all flies on any spawn condition should be replaced with brim flies that spawns 4 blue flies on death
I've been using this mod for a while and oh my God it makes greed and greedier mode baby Town frolic easy so fun.
Imagine entering uncleared room with no enemies (i.e. a puzzle room) and getting hit by mom's foot cus it hits isaac when there's no enemies
Adulthood turns all other puberty pills into health up? Or maybe it works like tarot cloth but for pills? But it also doubles negative effects.

Adulthood could possibly grant isaac the wafer effect due to adults being more resilient than children, along with the "deep pockets" item effect, due to inherently needing to have (and spend) more money
maybe adulthood can have a 5% chance to spawn either a lucky penny (cuz they say if you find a penny on the ground, it's lucky) or a lottery ticket, that gives you 5 dimes (50 coins) when entering a new room (mercurius won't count)
Just what I wanted someone to better explain the mod and the effects of the transformations (for adults I have a mod that gives it a little mustache)

Adulthood gives a random chance for Isaac to swear when he's hit
Adulthood doubles you tears and damages ( base isaac so a extra 3.5 dmg and 2.75 something tears ) but decrease you speed by .2
Spun could also be all stats down, but using any consumable will give you temporarily all stats up (surpassing negative effect)... You can also make it so pills have higher Buff, but after its over you enter drawback (negative effect gets temporarily amplified)
P.S.-This is to make it thematic...
I think the adult transformation could have random effects. Like tears up, damage up, and some more coins. Probably to reflect how your future can be uncertain.

Adulthood should replace all shops with arcades but grant a coin reward after each boss, and double that amount after defeating Mom
Neat beelzebub trick: Card against humanity
If you use the high priestess card in a room with no enemies, the foot hits isaac.
So if you enter an active room with no enemies (like a trap room) and the Yes Mother effect activates, you get hit.
The Adulthood transformation should give you a chance to get a random dad item upon entering a floor.
Adult should give you Dad's Key as a pocket active!
this feels too op and even buffs the transformations that are already good
honestly, the affects of the adult transformation is already odd, its +1 heart and gives an extremely low chance for a moms foot to stomp somthing at any moment (even lower than moms toenail) i think the adult transformation should give isaac a tear delay down, as well as making isaac activate the "emergency contact" consumable upon being damaged to half a heart
My concept of transformation is "nerd" to get it u need touch 3 dice items items it gives you effect of 9 volt and every room is 35% chance to get 2 charges except 1 and like, buffs all dices? Like gives luckier rerolls?
adulthood is a tears up, no familiars (they still count for conjoined) but for how many familiars its +1 damage, and coins cap at 50 but are always dimes

Oh crap could have a chance of spawning a random poop with varying chances for every type on taking damage, that way it would become useful on later stages and if one is able to not take damage on them, then one really didnt need the effect to begin with

Adulthood could give you the ability to get a thing called PAYDAY!!!! Which gives Isaac 3 dimes and has a chance to spawn 3 golden coins making money since he has a job. It would be triggered upon killing a mini boss like krampus, the angels Uriel and Gabriel, and the 7 deadly sins but have a high chance to trigger if you kill a super sin. Being super lust etc.
I wonder if the spun would work with rock bottom? That would be broken af

Tbh im not usualy a fan of small timed buffs i would have made the time based buffs just reset every floor (though funi would need a rebalance)
