    Took up golf in the seventies, had loads of lessons with different pros, read all the books from hogan, faldo leadbetter els norman daly and lots more, watched thousands of videos, and yes i am still crap , started watching youre clips 3 months ago and can honestly say these are the only videos that have made a vast difference to my game, i cant thank you enough, oh how i wish i was 40 years younger.

      Anthony - I’ve received many messages on TH-cam but in all honesty, yours my friend tops them all. It takes some time putting these videos together and to make a difference means everything to me, and for you to take the time to share is overwhelming. I am so pleased the game is at last giving you some positive payback and long may that continue Anthony. Have a wonderful evening my friend and thank you once more. Best wishes Stu 😊

    Omg.…. you have no idea how much this has changed my swing. I have always been a “hip slider“ pushing way too hard from the right side, bending backwards, etc. Nobody has ever explained this and the way you did or if I heard it before, it never made sense. This is freaking brilliant. It absolutely stops my sliding and makes contact so much more pure speed distance, etc. unbelievable.

    SO TRUE. Every time I tried to consciously press my right foot into the ground in order to "load into my right side," I would literally get stuck there. "Quicksand," is what I humbly call it.

    Yes! Question- when you say "Pull" it is a bit confusing to me because I associate it with left arm and that gets me floppy. But you were pulling "down" right side.. guess I need to look at your pulling vid!

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kevin, most associate it with the left arm because most golfers believe they must not use their right arm, right shoulder, this is such a faulty appreciation of form and function. With two hands on something your moving, why would you only use one hand? Definitely check out my “you must pull the club” video and it will start to make sense. Best wishes Stu 😊

  • @piping35
    @piping35 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks Stuart for confirming what im feeling. I've been wondering why at the top of my back swing i can feel 90% pressure in my left foot & everyone one else on UTUBE insists all the pressure should be in the right foot. If your moving the club away from you on the back swing you have to have pressure in the left foot or you'd fall over to your right.

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Amen my friend; unfortunately so few work with pressure mats and understand the dynamics of foot pressure and rotation, they will help or hinder if moved in the wrong direction. Stay tuned for another video on this tomorrow. Glad it helped!

  • @markmiller4738
    @markmiller4738 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Stuart you make things do simple
    The hips do not aggressively or actively need firing. Simply using the feet correctly and pushing into the ground cause the hips to rotate.

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  ปีที่แล้ว

      Mark - the game has been made complex for way too many years. Understand what does what and the game opens up like a flower in spring. Super happy you now know how the hips open! Best wishes Stu 😊

  • @stevemorgan2333
    @stevemorgan2333 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Stuart, Hope all is well. In reference to this video. Moving pressure into the right foot in the back swing happens by pushing laterally with the right foot. Is that the same thing I want to feel in transition. Left foot pushes laterally which pushes the left hip back and opening the chest? Thanks again for the great content.

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Steve - as per the video, I think I explained with as much clarity as possible, without sounding condescending, the right foot pushes to the left foot on the backswing and the left foot pushes to the right foot in the downswing 😊 - which the video a few times if you can’t grasp it. Hope that helps and thanks for asking! Best wishes Stu 😊

    Thanks! Ive been struggling with the downswing and I was confused on whether/how/when to straighten my front leg. Pulling the club while simultaneously extending the front leg on the downswing seems to automatically move the rear foot correctly - is this the case?

    • @GoodGolfCoaching

      Boomer, absolutely and twice on Sundays, the worse thing you can do if you want to inspire good dynamics with your legs and ultimately hip rotation to inspire torso rotation. Hope it’s given you clarity? Best wishes Stu
