Took up golf in the seventies, had loads of lessons with different pros, read all the books from hogan, faldo leadbetter els norman daly and lots more, watched thousands of videos, and yes i am still crap , started watching youre clips 3 months ago and can honestly say these are the only videos that have made a vast difference to my game, i cant thank you enough, oh how i wish i was 40 years younger.
Anthony - I’ve received many messages on TH-cam but in all honesty, yours my friend tops them all. It takes some time putting these videos together and to make a difference means everything to me, and for you to take the time to share is overwhelming. I am so pleased the game is at last giving you some positive payback and long may that continue Anthony. Have a wonderful evening my friend and thank you once more. Best wishes Stu 😊
Omg.…. you have no idea how much this has changed my swing. I have always been a “hip slider“ pushing way too hard from the right side, bending backwards, etc. Nobody has ever explained this and the way you did or if I heard it before, it never made sense. This is freaking brilliant. It absolutely stops my sliding and makes contact so much more pure speed distance, etc. unbelievable.
Great video, sequencing is the secret of good golf and always moving away from the golf club helps you get it, i spent to long moving with the golf club!
SO TRUE. Every time I tried to consciously press my right foot into the ground in order to "load into my right side," I would literally get stuck there. "Quicksand," is what I humbly call it.
Nugget after nugget after nugget...I am learning and understanding so much! The only bad side is at 61 yrs old why oh why did it take 35 years to find out. Depressing if you think about the waste of time n frustration n wanting to throw ur bag in the lake. Hope is what u have given us for sure. Ty Gold Nugget Coach!
Made a 76 today feeling this oposition in the ground forces with a double on 17, I'm in the middle of a semi slump that goes up and down since the lockdown depression... Already feeling kind of wacked. Saludos from Spain brits ; p Have fun playing this wonderful game
Sounds like you had fun playing this wonderful game too!! Really pleased to hear it and thank you so much for sharing your experiences. Best wishes Stu.
Hi, I’ve recently found your videos on here. Can I say this was one of the best explanations I’ve seen explaining the pressure movement in the golf swing. It made perfect sense.
Thanks Stuart. Clear explanation of using forces correctly which in turn creates time and space to clear left side. Also fixes coming away from the wall and coming over the top. Delivery of videos is also getting much better. Keep up the good work
Really appreciate the feedback my friend, m trying! Rotation is such an under appreciated movement and with very little insight into gaining more, I hope this video helps. Thanks for contributing to the channel, really appreciated Sir.
As you say this bit is the holy grail for me and practicing this with the bands has made me more accurate and has given me greater length with seemingly less effort ,,especially when i get the pull action coming down then round cheers Stuart
My pleasure Graham; really good to hear the work is giving you the gains I’d expect. Keep up the great work and as ever, thanks for taking the time to contribute to the channel. 😊🙌
This was a great video, very similar to what Mike Malaska teaches in his videos with the pushing of the hips in straight line forces and not actively trying to "rotate" or fire your hips, thanks!
Great explanations, best ones on YT everything you say makes perfect sense, unfortunately I still cant do it, going to take up fishing I think before I have a breakdown :(
@@GoodGolfCoaching Id like to think so, I watched them and all seemed good to me, Also watched the video you posted with a lesson and I have all the same faults you fixed on that guy but what ever I do (And I practice on the net and camera a lot) within a few days Im back to where I started nothing seems to stick
Yes! Question- when you say "Pull" it is a bit confusing to me because I associate it with left arm and that gets me floppy. But you were pulling "down" right side.. guess I need to look at your pulling vid!
Hi Kevin, most associate it with the left arm because most golfers believe they must not use their right arm, right shoulder, this is such a faulty appreciation of form and function. With two hands on something your moving, why would you only use one hand? Definitely check out my “you must pull the club” video and it will start to make sense. Best wishes Stu 😊
Thanks Stuart for confirming what im feeling. I've been wondering why at the top of my back swing i can feel 90% pressure in my left foot & everyone one else on UTUBE insists all the pressure should be in the right foot. If your moving the club away from you on the back swing you have to have pressure in the left foot or you'd fall over to your right.
Amen my friend; unfortunately so few work with pressure mats and understand the dynamics of foot pressure and rotation, they will help or hinder if moved in the wrong direction. Stay tuned for another video on this tomorrow. Glad it helped!
Stuart you make things do simple The hips do not aggressively or actively need firing. Simply using the feet correctly and pushing into the ground cause the hips to rotate.
Mark - the game has been made complex for way too many years. Understand what does what and the game opens up like a flower in spring. Super happy you now know how the hips open! Best wishes Stu 😊
Stuart, Hope all is well. In reference to this video. Moving pressure into the right foot in the back swing happens by pushing laterally with the right foot. Is that the same thing I want to feel in transition. Left foot pushes laterally which pushes the left hip back and opening the chest? Thanks again for the great content.
Hi Steve - as per the video, I think I explained with as much clarity as possible, without sounding condescending, the right foot pushes to the left foot on the backswing and the left foot pushes to the right foot in the downswing 😊 - which the video a few times if you can’t grasp it. Hope that helps and thanks for asking! Best wishes Stu 😊
Thanks! Ive been struggling with the downswing and I was confused on whether/how/when to straighten my front leg. Pulling the club while simultaneously extending the front leg on the downswing seems to automatically move the rear foot correctly - is this the case?
Yes it does; and I have done another video this morning (out tomorrow) on further insights to foot pressure and rotation, so stay tuned. Check out my “you must pull the club” video, it will really help you too.
Hi Stu. This is excellent. Too much energy going in one direction makes sense. So does this not make the famous "step drill" a bunch of rubbish? I think it does. What do you think?
Boomer, absolutely and twice on Sundays, the worse thing you can do if you want to inspire good dynamics with your legs and ultimately hip rotation to inspire torso rotation. Hope it’s given you clarity? Best wishes Stu
It took me 3 years to watching so many rubbish video about golf technique. I hope I see your video sooner to understand the truth. I wonder why so many other golf coaches hide the truth
You're so close. You have the basic principles somewhat correct but your fundamental belief of how and what direction they happen is completely wrong and therefore your entire premise is misguided and incorrect.

I honestly think this is the greatest golf tutorial video I've ever watched...
Bless you my friend, hugely appreciated and overwhelming feedback. Thank you and I hope it helped.
I echo that the explanation of counter balance is the light bulb moment.same as a hammer thrower he’s counter balancing that weight he’s throwing 👏👏👏👏
Yeah, you said it: _intelligent_ golf. A rare breed indeed. The best analysis I have ever seen on bottom body movement.
Bless you Sergio, gratefully received my friend and I hope it help improves your golf. Peace and best wishes from me. 😊

Worst advice ever, loading into the right side. Killer for golf swings. Glad you felt the change!
