Zanyar Said Mostly cuz I’ve been watching his Ratchet videos a lot (as well as Cvit’s Everything Wrong with YuGiOh series). TGB has done videos on OG R&C (as it relates to the 2016 reboot), Up Your Arsenal, Gladiator/Deadlocked, and the PS3 Future games, but doesn’t have a video specifically focused on Going Commando. I’m just being a jokingly facetious shithead by pointing out that when I DO find a video in my recommendations about GC, it’s from one TH-camr I enjoy watching for one specific topic rather than another that I watch for another topic. (sorry if this got a little long winded, I just wanted to clear things up best I can)
man that was pretty much the golden era of games.. i mean now mechanics and graphics are so much better.. but there was so much more heart in titles.. like in all consoles and pc..
Love the remaster of ratchet and clank on ps4, wish they would do it for the rest of the series, as for jak and daxter, all those games are playable on ps4 but not remastered
Yeah I am still mad after losing about 5 phat PS3s, two of those being backwards compatible so have had to settle for the inferior but more stable PS3 slim with a PS2 as backup. Thankfully that plays PS2 games that aren't on PSN store as wel. We had a PS4 at my parent's house but I felt bad about taking it when I moved out even though it was technically my christmas gift and still haven't taken the plunge to get a PS4 yet. Maybe if it proves to be reliable hardware-wise and is fully backwards compatible as promised when it was announced.
Yeah sometimes newer tech isn't always the greatest, My friend had his ps2 from launch and it still work fine without a doubt but the Ps3 or even the Ps4 has already ran into problems weird.
3:00 This slowdown didn't occur in the original PS2 title to this extent. PS3 was kind of terrible at fill rate and memory bandwidth (the VRAM had less than half the bandwidth of the eDRAM in the PS2) while the PS2 was kind of a God (for the time) when it came to fill rate.
Even running this game in PCSX2 emulator, this slowdown happens. eDRAM allowed some crazy things in games, according to a dev, it allowed them to automatically generate grass or leaves with just a few lines of code, that would run on the eDRAM thousands of times while the scene is being rendered, without the CPU needing to do a draw call.
@@commisaryarreck3974 Still incredible what the devs pulled off with the PS2s hardware; its a wonder the Jak and Daxter series was fully open world without loading screens.
@@xXYannuschXx Limitation breeds innovation Just in case you're wondering why games these days are massive, they're not even bothering to compress anymore. Devs are lazy and complacent AAA ones at least
Tabora Crystal desert is probably one of my favorite sound tracks ever on this game, I remember as I kid just wandering through the desert finding crystals and killing aliens
I’m so glad someone loves the old ratchet and clanks as much as I do, to answer your question at 6:55 I liked the first ratchet and clank’s movement mechanics because it encouraged you to use different weapons in different situations because it was difficult to lock onto things while moving whereas in the other r&c games after they added strafe you can kinda just run around with one gun and spank everything that looks at you funny.
Exactly king well put. Using one weapon the whole time is boring. I like being challenged to use multiple weapons. Even with the RYNO I'm not using it exclusively.
as a recent R&C fan (started at ps4 r&c), in rift apart i mainly only use the blast pistol and enforcer the way you describe it makes the game sound really intresting
Going Commando is my favorite title in the series and I can't place the exact reason why. Something about the universe it built is just... inviting. I can't describe it. It's just comfy. Something about the story, characters, locations, creatures and weapons are just pure, unfiltered fun. Maybe it's just because I would play Going Commando with my imagination as a kid so I associate the game with that, but something about it is really special.
I think the series peaks at this feel with Crack in Time, which imo is probably one of the best games ever. I love love LOVE when R&C gives you hoverboots. There is nothing more comf that hoverbooting around beautiful planets and orbiting moons, blasting through enemies.
@@Semo_00 yeah but the emulator diesebt work that well, I can't understand why we can't play the ps3 titles on the ps4. Just put them on the store Sony, fuck ps now
MassiveGat Infamous 2 is also a great example of a sequel being better than the first game. If you haven't played you should especially how I believe the Sly cooper developers were the ones that worked on it (much like how ratchet and clank developers were also the developers of the first three games of spyro)
I loved how when I entered a loading, I had to guess if the game bugged out or not, so much time lost seeing the ship traveling through the space animation... In ALL ratchet and clank games...
I have a lot to say, but before I get in to my mammoth response, I should preface by saying that I love these games to pieces. I've played all the PS2 Ratchet games from 0-100% multiple times (In fact, I still have the original PS2 copies, that I got with the console all those many years ago). I consider them the pinnacle of the era. Each one improved upon the last in multiple aspects. My point is: I'm unfathomably biased. Anyhow, point by point: - I would agree that this is a perfect sequel. It did, of course, fall flat in a few less-significant aspects, but everything meaningful was improved upon. - I really respect the way that the developers introduce and build upon basic mechanics. They executed it quite admirably. I was in the same boat as a kid though. Some stuff that I breeze through today was SO HARD BACK THEN. Fuck those Glider sections. - I find that the later you go in the game, the less Pet Enemies seem to appear. The density of Soldier and Big enemies seems to grow exponentially, while the Pets seem to show up at a steady rate. - I started with 1 and went to 2. The strafing system was the single most valuable and game-changing addition to the franchise. The first game required you to move almost exclusively forward in combat to ensure your shots connected. Each encounter required pre-planning and near-flawless split-second execution to avoid damage. Strafing opened up movement in all directions. It got easier to maneuver around the environment and dodge incoming damage, thus moving from a proactive style of play into a more reactive one. Mastery of the Lock-On mod and strafe-dodging are base requirements for the late game (especially when farming Moonstones. FUCK those Yetis.). Up Your Arsenal introduced Lock-Strafe mode, which I believe to be the pinnacle of this concept, but since this is about R&C2, I'll refrain from going too far into it. I could write an essay on the topic if I don't stop myself here. - The humor in these games is incredible, from the idiocy of characters like Quark and Dr. Nefarious, to the commentary during Annihilation Nation and Dreadzone challenges. - Platinum Bolts are a peeve of mine. I have less concern for the Gold and Titanuim bolts, but the Platinum ones are vital. It’s much harder to do stuff without the Lock-On mod, and the only way you can get it is by finding those sneaky silver nuggets. For me, that's not an issue; I've memorized the location of all of them. A new player, however, would have a seriously rough time later down the line without a good supply. Gold bolts upgrade your guns (but only in Challenge Mode +), and Titaniums purchased skins (for some stupid reason). Neither of those were as vital in the first run as Platinums are. The necessity of them is not something I'm a fan of. - To Hell with those ship combat parts. I give the devs props for trying something new, yet am VERY happy that the ship sections weren't carried over into the third game. That being said, they re-introduced them in the PS3 titles, and I think those worked quite well. - I gotta say, the moon maps are awesome. - Holy shit, you’re right about the chanting. o-O - That shot of Endako really speaks to one of my favorite things about R&C: the phenomenal level design. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a game do so much with so little when it comes to creating an interesting and aesthetically pleasing environment. - I think they went a bit overboard with the Clank bits in this one. There were simply too many bots. Props to the devs for ingenuity, but I agree, it’s very repetitive. - Ah, the ultimate foe of Megacorp: litterbugs. - I see you also know about that sneaky bolt pyramid in front of the TV. ;) - It’s a shame that the returning weapons aren’t that great. Maybe if they could be upgraded like the rest of the weapons, I might actually use them. - I prefer the bike races, mostly due to the controls. They feel smoother than the Hoverboards. - Gotta love how much character they managed to give Slim with just a pair of eyes and a shady voice. - And the fuckers just get stingier. >:( - Some of the Swingshots on that convoy were buggy as hell on the PS2. - Also, I REALLY hate the music on Siberius. Ear-piercingly repetitive. - I like the wrench scene too. You summed it up pretty well. - That space-hippie is the alpha and the omega. He grinds up all those crystals and moonstones, puts on space-Jimmy Hendrix, and snorts the fucking stuff. You know it, I know it, we all know it. - I think Tabora is my favorite planet. There’s something ludicrously satisfying about a wide open desert. - Thank GOD they revamped the health system after this game. I really dislike it. Mostly because by the time you have lots of health, stuff hits so hard that you can lose a good chunk, regardless of having armor. The problem arises because Nanotech replenishment remains at a static level throughout the game, as opposed to a percentage. - Giant Clank was really fun in this one, compared to the last. So much more fluid. Still a bit tedious though. - That facility glider section still manages to get me to this day every once in a while. - There’s actually 3 ways to get that boost. The third is the easiest, but it is an exploit. When in challenge mode, you can use the first person wall climbing bug to shimmy up the wall, jump off at the top, and snag it. Might still take a few tries, but shouldn’t take more than a half hour at most. - They KNEW that the price tags on story missions were bullshit. E.V.I.L. >:( - Those cage matches were awesome. - That Billy cutscene was hilarious. - I love the Thugs-4-Less. I find the idea of a murderous army of mercs being motivated by something as simple as a pizza party very heartwarming. They remind me of TF2. - I think that the Grinding section in the Silver City is amazing. Very clever use of the environment. - They started to go a bit wild with enemy density in the Silver City. Not only did everything do more damage, but enemies were also beefy and increasingly numerous. I think that Going Commando is perhaps the hardest game of the trilogy, mostly due to this annoying imbalance (at least, until you get to Challenge Mode and stock up on Mega weapons). - That prison ad kinda makes me wanna be incarcerated there. - Zodiac: neat idea, clunky execution. Hard to make a screen nuke ability work predictably. - Yes, FUCK planet Snivelak. Fuck the Nanotech Boost, fuck the armada of lizard-furries, and FUCK that mind-numbing, seemingly endless boss fight. - Yeah, Smolg is an awesome planet. Great visuals and platforming. Enemies were a bit monotonous, but what pisses me off more than anything is that demented fucking crab, who EATS 40’000 BOLTS FOR LUNCH. ASSHOLE. - Yep, that Grelbin Glider section took a toll on my controllers too. I didn’t know that the guy only had 3 days to work on the level. He has my sympathies. Still, he was MERCILESS with those damn Yetis. My middle fingers would ache from pressing the strafe keys for hours at a time. And for other, ruder reasons as well. I must say however, the wastes look absolutely fabulous. - “baseless speculation and crackpot theories” always kills me. - I also love that Damosel Grinding section. Wonderful design. - Those damn Protopets spawn quicker than rabbits on viagra. I remember spamming Mini-Nuke shots at them when I was a kid, because they were my waking fucking nightmare. - I think that Yeedil is indeed very well designed. The way the put it all together is really cool. Also that shot of the factory upon landing is incredible. - Who IS that little pink robot? Why is she there? WHY IS IT NEVER EXPLAINED? D: - I really dislike the Mutant Protopet. It just feels so out of place. It’s not that it’s not challenging, but his mechanics are just… lackluster. - I like to envision Angela’s fate this way: Tachyon murdered her ass. Plain and simple. Dark, but also plausible. To sum it up, great insights b0ss. I’m just as passionate as you are about these games, and it’s good to know I’m not alone in this deep, deep, deeeeeep geek-hole. That came out wrong. But hey, every game in this trilogy is a sex joke, so am I REALLY out of line?
As the veteran player that played all R&C (Mobile game R&C game was dope), you don't have to check any reviews of R&C 2, just read this comment above, there's everything you need to know. I want to add a few things: - R.Y.N.O. 2 was a much weaker then his older brother R.Y.N.O. 1. It wasn't "one shot-one kill" anymore and also it was more like a torpedo launcher then a rocket launcher in terms of projectile trajectory. Range was also nerfed: In first R&C, with R.Y.N.O. 1 you could aim the enemy that was at the other side of the universe and still hit him with rockets but the R.Y.N.O. 2 range was so weak that it makes me think that maybe buying the best armor in the game is a better choice then buying R.Y.N.O. 2 for the same price also (1 mil bolts). I know what Insomniac tried to do with R.Y.N.O. 2: They wanted to make it more CHALLENGING then the older version, not pay to win the game type of a weapon, but... R.Y.N.O. should be a R.Y.N.O. , Rips everyone a new one! Cool design tho, a minigun torpedo launcher hybrid. - Speaking of a devil, the last (best) armor in the game (carbonox armor) that we can buy is the goddamn POWER ARMOR FROM FALLOUT SERIES!!! A T-51 power armor with futuristic design. LOVE IT! - Angela Cross was ThICC... ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°) - Visibomb Gun in R&C 2 was more like a tool to find crystals and moonstones on wasteland maps rather then a weapon - Zodiac is the waste of money - Shotgun in R&C 2 is more like a melee weapon then a mid range weapon (see DOOM 3 shotgun and you will know what I am talking about) - Soundtrack is GOD LIKE! Check a Todano Planet song th-cam.com/video/8hacLBs5BEE/w-d-xo.html - Spider Glove is meh - Skill points that requires SKILL (Wrench Ninja 2 skill point on Joba planet when you are in challenge mode... geeeeeeez...) - Extra minigames! :D - Glitched first person mode (Legendary "Wrench Climbing") - "Yetis are bane in my existence" - Ratchet while traveling through iced wasteland - ($($($(The Impossible Challenge)$)$)$) - Sheepinator - Bouncer is balanced and not OP weapon... wink wink - Meteor gun is only viable when you have Lock-On mode (Glad they fixed this weapon in R&C 3) - And I could just type and type and the list would be go on and on and on... so I will just end* this and say: - And many more so you need to check it by yourself!
OptimisticSociopath I know this was a long ass time ago but that spider glove is overpowered as shit when you upgrade it. Remember the giant robot fight in the turrets? Try shooting him with the spider bot while you hide
I started with Ratchet 1 and no strafing made the game feel a lot harder. You couldn't just run in guns blazing because it was hard to target anything while moving around. In a way it added more tension which was kinda interesting, made the game feel longer too, as you had to be more methodical about how you approached a room full of enemies
Those smaller enemys are known as "swarmmers". They really over use them in Deadlocked/Gladiator. I think they even have a mission called Swarmmer Soccer (in Ratchet Deadlocked/Gladiator) where you kill waves and waves of the little buggers.
@@jonathangutierrez4969 Naw Endzone is. Spawns like 40 enemies at a time, and spawns as soon as you kill the last wave. Shock or lava mod crashed my PS2/3 a few times.
_Going Commando_ was my first game in the series, and I absolutely fell in love with it. Years later, I picked up the first _Ratchet And Clank_ and could not believe how much progress was made between the two games within such a short span of time. _Up Your Arsenal_ made some refinements to the core gameplay, but _Going Commando_ was a massive evolutionary leap.
Yeah I can't even begin to describe how much profound excitement there was for me just hearing about the improvements in the second game, let alone then finally getting to play it. It truly was a massive evolutionary leap that blew my mind in the most profound way, especially as a kid pretty new to console gaming (I got my ps2 and RC1 only a few months before RC2 came out, so it was probably only my second or third ps2 game). I love the gritty industrial style of the first game, but I can remember just looking at the art for the second game and getting goosebumps - it was the real ratchet and clank "future"
I know the feel as im recently playing through every mainline entry on PCSX2 in prep to play Rift Apart on Steam. It fixed FOUR of my biggest issues with the 1st game and the 3rd game just gave me more content. lol
6:54. I also started from ratchet 2 then went to ratchet 1. Ratchet 1 is actually very puzzle base and not run and gun at all which is why the gameplay seems a lot different than ratchet 2. I thought that was very interesting because my mindset was different towards ratchet 1 when I thought that it was suppose to be run and gun like ratchet 2. It's really hard to notice both ratchet games playthrough when you approach them with a different mindset. That's just my thoughts.
The small enemies like blade balls always come in groups, so maybe swarmers? And the big ones just the brutes? Idk food for thought. Glad you made this video, so much nostalgia for me. Me and my dad played this game a lot, great memories.
This boss was stupidly easy for me, I didn't get hit ONCE while fighting it yesterday, and it went down easy, even though I didn't use some of the more powerful weapons.
Are you happy now?! Thanks to you I've got a nostalgia-trip, bought a Ps3 and am now playing R&C again... Are you happy? Huh? Well, I am, thanks Cvit ^^
Two things that haunted me ever since I touched this game: The Nanotech boost on the flight section in the testing facility, and the Wrench skill point on planet Joba. The hours I spent trying to figure those two out, yeesh.
enigmabloom What haunted me when I played this game as a child was the "impossible challenge" I think it is called in Second Arena. Mostly because I wasn't that good in the combat parts and my parents back then were super strict and only let me play for one hour a day.
I figured out how to get that nanotech as a kid back then. You have to fly almost till the very end of the flight and fly far right and up and turn left through between the pilars until you have turned 180 degrees and fly back to the beginning of the flight and fly up and obtain the nanotech.
Bunch of dialogue and cutscenes were cut from the last levels, probably because they ran out of time to finish them. They probable would've had a little story for that if they had time to put it into the game. There is a cut cutscene where ratchet looks at the moon and says "See that moon? Let's go explore it."
@@TheMDbauS There would also have been a 4th ship combat area, right before the final level. GC already is the longest R&C game, would have been interesting to see how big it would have been with the content they didnt manage to include.
I actually liked the ship combat quite a bit back when, and I think the Clank puzzles from Crack in Time are some of the best puzzle mechanics I've seen in gaming.
Yeah, Ratchet & Clank 2 (I'm one of THOSE regions) was a blast to play through, even though I haven't touched the game in years. The HD remake doesn't look all that great in places though, so I'm sticking with the PS2 version. And yes, Angela's still around. She's mentioned in A Crack in Time as being on the run from Tachyon with the help of Talwyn's dad.
Beriorn stay away from the HD remake it literally turns you away from the series its so bad with no character development and they always just never show emotion and half the dialouge is painful to listen to I should clarify Im talking about the ps4 "HD remake"
ps4 "HD remake" as you call it is not a remake, it's a reboot. different term different meaning but the ps3 HD remasterd is a solid game. Remasterd is just the same game with new HD textures. Reboot means that it is inspired by the original and does share similarities but is not the same game. just wanted to let you know the difference here.
Aku M i know the difference I was just too tired to say it all correctly and again now I need to stop staying up so late.. Anyways thanks though and sorry to not clarify earlier
I wouldn’t call this a kids game, it is rated T after all, plus the jokes and innuendos kinda screams ‘not for kids’ But I agree with quote literally everything you said in this. Again that’s me also being biased I love these games and really do consider this the perfect sequel Edit; also I actually liked the Incredibles game... >_>
RyanMK666 exactly this game looks exactly like a game teenagers would enjoy. But the cartoon like graphics and characters really appeal to kids like me. It's more of that movie you watch as kid, enjoy it but later you watch it as an adult and you start to realize what the jokes really meant but a kid would never understand. A good example is ratchet in R&C3 what he pretends to foodle his "chest area" and making kissy faces after watching the Courtney Gears ad. As a kid you would never understand what it means but as adult... "ratchet what the hell are you doing?"
lol, it's rated 10+ by ESRB. It's a kids' game but it's still enjoyable as you get older. You don't know what innuendos are before you reach the very mature age of 12.
@@XxkeijjoxXit is in mine as well, but I can’t really say I’ve ever actually seen kids play this game that’s more what I was meaning. Ratchet and clank is one of those games even as an adult (I turn 30 next year 😭) I still enjoy playing these games.
This has to be one of my favorite videos in you tube! Everything you said, I had felt as a kid. Down to the smallest detail, like pretending to save the non hostile npcs. And the glider parts were a struggle for my childhood brain to comprehend. Ratchet and Clank was the first ps2 game I ever had and started when I was 6yrs old. Then going commando when it came out. Ratchet was my life and I am proud to say that I mastered it. Thank you for the video.
Some feedback to provide: I don't think you need to go through the entire game as thoroughly as you did as it almost makes the video feel like a walkthrough at times. Throwing thoughts on levels and such is better than just describing every time what you're going to be facing. Allowing for the loading screen travels to happen even with cutscenes but making no comments on them at the time feels a bit strange as well. And for a nitpick the channel switching static noise with the PS3 problems and such times is a bit too loud. ;P To elaborate a bit, while you do mention the Quark scenes eventually, you could've gone into further depth regarding the cutscenes overall, or the way the game disguises loading screens in those ship traveling through space segments (just like in the first game), or how it seems to come straight from Spyro (with him flying through the portals and all). Just some thoughts that came to mind. :)
32:00 that cut made me jump so hard lmao also going commando was one of the few ps2 games I had growing up so the nostalgia hits real hard watching this!!
PSA You can strafe in Ratchet and clank 1 you need the hover pack and to double tap crouch (R1) Took me years to finally figure out how/why ratchet would randomly hover on the spot, then you just hold R1 to strafe. It's awesome and worth playing through again knowing this
This has nothing to do with the content of the video but rather the editing. Your sound mixing has come leaps and bounds from your first videos, but some of your volume levels are still ear piercing. Mainly the static screen you use between cuts. Your voice is low pitched, then suddenly we get a super, ear piercing static sound with those cuts. Otherwise, this was a fun video. I'd love to see more if you plan to make this a series.
The factory view on ~52:47 reminds me of Oddworld: Abe's Odyssey meat factory the gluckens owned. Litterally, the first cutscenes of that game shows a similar structure.
I love all the og R&C but personally the original is my favourite and I beat it around 30 times as a kid. Even though a lot of people hate that you can't strafe in the og I think that's what sets it above the rest of the titles. Pretty much every R&C after the OG only require you to strafe, jump and shoot during any encounter + time freeze when you choose weapon. But the og required you to be more tactical and now as an adult it holds up the best! Not to mention the og soundtrack and og origin story is great!!
R&C og soundtrack >>>> Even though r&c 2 was a downgrade in terms of music to me, them being rather "heroic" than those d&b groovy tracks from the first one, it's such a experience like no other, still, i do love sequels of r&c for how they expand their world with new chharacters, it really catches my attention.
11:35 I always thought they were chanting "Go, Ratchet!" 26:50 Those helicopters drop nanotech when you kill them, so you definitely do want to kill them if your health is getting low. 27:30 I don't think it was that bad either, the flight section on Angela's planet was way worse, and damn did it feel good to make it through! 28:00 I'm sure you've noticed that you go slower the higher you are; so I just went as high as I safely could, and did a normal turn in the room immediately after the start. Going so high that you start falling isn't necessary. 30:10 You actually get introduced to those weapon crates during the previous set of races, provided you did more than just the mandatory first race, you had to do about 3 to get access to the shorter alternative routes in the races if you wanted the skillpoint. 39:40 I'm not sure if I was just using it wrong, but the Zodiac always felt so weak and utterly useless - it's one of the few weapons I only get to unlock the corresponding skillpoint. I kind of destest the Rynocirator of R&C3, because it's just *this* piece of junk, but with more ammo - I'd say it's one of the few instances in the series (like the meteor gun) where the upgrade actually made the weapon worse. 43:50 I used to just exit the turret ones those missiles got close - that'd make them harmlessly explode on the turret. On my last playthrough, I adopted a strategy speedrunners used to use, which is using the chargeboots to escape to an earlier section of the level so you have access to a vendor, so you can pick him off at a distance with the RYNO 2, really makes that fight os much more tolerable. Much like Dobbo before it, this level really did have a sudden and massive difficulty spike... 45:10 I don't blame them, Grelbin is a very unpleasant level if you're not in Challenge mode, those Yeti are absolutely savage and soak up all your ammo in no time flat - It's not a problem in Challenge mode, as you'll also have an upgraded version of the Tesla Charger thing that'll soak up a lot of damage and zap most of them to death (plus stronger weapons). Also that glider section makes Dobbo's look like a cake walk, as you mention later on. 54:00 Not sure if it's different in your version, but shooting the bouncer at him a few times is usually enough to just about kill him near instantly...
I just now learned that this is the second game of the series smh. How did I not realize that the logo made the number two after all these fricking years?
I played the first game first as a kid. I remember playing the second and being blown away by the strafing. The late game in the first Ratchet and Clank boiled down to using the tracking middle over and over.
3:09 i can confirm the slowdown/lag effect you're describing here happened in the original because i remember believing the mini-nuke did it on purpose for dramatic effect like the dark bomb from jak 2. it took me until later in the game to realize it was slowing down just to process all the graphical content
Personally, with the first game being my favorite, I like the system of not being able to strafe enemies and lock on as easily. It changes up how you approach each group of enemies instead of constantly being able to lock on to them, move out of danger with ease, then rinse and repeat. In the first title, not being able to lock on to enemies made you think a little bit more about how you would approach each situation. For example if there was a large group of enemies like the sandshark section with skid mcmarx it would be easier to run around with the pyrocitor and burn them all to hell or for enemies with more health, the devastator or blaster might be a better choice to pick off enemies one at a time vs going commando where you can strafe the shit out of enemies with whatever weapon you want and constant do flips to avoid their attacks. I love both games but personally I liked the first games system more.
i played 1 after 2 (i got my ps2 from my brother, and he didn't have number 1. only got it for my birthday last year), and i didn't change anything at all about my play style. my entire thing is run at them, and hope for the best. i never really used the strafing thing in 2.
I love it when he says that he had difficulty on certain parts when i beat them first try. Most of your problems could be resolved if you just leveled up and used the Bouncer.
Yeah, I remember the final boss being hard as a kid, but as an adult I recently just replayed the game and beat the boss on the first try with the upgraded Bouncer.
Angela was briefly mentioned in A Crack in Time, during one of the radio entries. Great video! I played this game over and over every weekend when I was younger, because we had no memory card, but it made it more fun in a way! Great nostalgia.
You probably won't see this but thanks so much for making this video! So many memories playing this game. Loved watching this whole video. You rock for making it!
This video is great. I am a huge Ratchet and Clank fan and played the first one all the time, I got it at blockbuster and they gave me the first game in the box of the third game. I never played the sequels until 2016 about 9 years later. I love the first four games to death and did enjoy the two Future games ToD and QfB which I got for Christmas in 2017 alongside my PS3. I would rank the games I've played as follows: 1) Ratchet and Clank 2) Ratchet: Gladiator/Deadlocked 3) Ratchet and Clank 2 4) Ratchet and Clank 3 5) Tools of Destruction 6) Quest for Booty
As much as I agree with alot of the points in the video, I originally played the 3rd game "Up your arsenal" first, which I felt like was the better game between the two because I liked the combat so much, whereas the 2nd game "Going commando" was actually the last ratchet and clank game I played of the original trilogy, as much as I respected what was going on in the 2nd game, all the improvements and how less of a step and even a step back in some aspects the 3rd game took, I can confidently say I still like the 3rd game more, probably because of my ruby tinted goggles that are also strapped so tight that its hard to imagine them not being bolted to my skull. Im just glad someone actually loves the 2nd game in the series as much as I loved the 3rd one, because its obvious at the time which ones were better, I just so happened to pick up the 3rd game first and fell in love with it, loved the video btw
3rd game had the best weapons and humor. But it had such shitty map designs compared to the 1st and 2nd. If only those qualities can be combined into one game. Story wise it's hard to say. Nefarious and Lawrence were amazing. The story of the 2nd felt weak but it really had the best map designs and gave the game its first strafe system.
The third game, in my eyes, was very disappointing. Since Insomniac was only given a year to develop the online multiplayer as well as the singleplayer, the singleplayer was left extremely lacking in level design and the social commentary that the first two games had. It's not as much of a "Ratchet and Clank" game as the first two.
1:55 Holy shit this hit me in the feels more than the nostalgia of this video. I traded almost all my classic PS2 games for like 3 PS3 games that I don't play anymore. Had some great games in there that I forget now, but can't believe I got rid of so many games that carried me through my late elementary school life. Damn.
SpiffyGonzales I remember we traded most of our games in for I think Xbox 360 games? We had so many but the total that we got for them was about $30. Wish we didn’t give them up now
Wow I love ratchet and clank myself very much in my opinion the first one is the best because I tgink the leven design is just fantastic and the story but your video just gave me goosebumbs of nostalgia
Ratchet and Clank 1 actually had sort of a precursor to the strafe system in R&C 2 and beyond. I NEVER knew about this until I started re-playing these games about a week ago, but if you're using the jetpack upgrade for clank in R&C 1 and double tap R1 you'll start hovering around instead of walking, and if you hold L2 you'll be locked to movement which is just like the strafing in every other Ratchet game. The only problem is the movement is slower, so its still sort of easy to get hit, but having the strafing that mode offers is still nice in some situations. Edit: 11:24 Thanks to doom all I can hear with the crowd chants is "RIP AND TEAR! RIP AND TEAR! RIP AND TEAR!"
"I'm offering a free pizza party to the squad who bags him. That includes 'drinks'... and 'desserts.'" Add that to the list of lines that slipped past me as a kid.
In terms of strafing: I remember as a kid going from R&C 1 to 2 going "OMG STRAFE IS SO MUCH BETTER THIS IS AMAZING, WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT". However, as an adult I see the problems strafing has caused in the series, which TheGamingBrit has brought up. Mainly that it's a massive improvement to player capability and causes a sort of "power creep" where they have to just throw more and more shit at you to compensate for your insane mobility. I actually love how, despite whether or not it's good, that it is in the first game. Intentionally or not, it displays Ratchet's skill improving over each sequel until he can flip and dodge and shoot like no other. At this point I find the first game's control style quaint, charming and proper.
This was such a good video, RAC2 was my first ever video game and I loved it so much. This video did a great job of explaining the game and giving tips on how to go through it!
23:02 - "Make sure you're loaded up with ammo" 23:06 - -shows 3/5 weapons that are out of ammo- LOL this playthrough analysis was fucking spectacular R&C2 is probably my favorite game of all time with pretty much infinite replayability, cut-scenes and all Thanks for this!!
I never had any issue with lag on the ps2 version of Rac2 and i've recently used the decoy glove clipping glitch to beat the giant robot boss on Snivelak with the Sheepinator.
This brought back so many memories. This was my favorite game on ps2 and in the series. I watched the whole video . I wouldnt usaly but you made it so awesome !
About the thing with the final boss, he Is actually pretty easy with the upgraded bouncer because it does (in comparison) a crap ton of damage and when he spits protopets you can kill them easily too
high quality man. Nice work. Never played the game myself as I'm circa : 1981 but it took me back to my own childhood and was enjoyable to watch even tho I didn't share the nostalgia.
Really good video! This is definitely my favorite game, so I'm glad you made a video on it. Most R&C fans favor UYA and ACIT and while I love those, I think GC is better. What are your thoughts on the Insomniac Museum? When it comes to certain touches that makes the game better, that's the most obvious gem.
Man of culture. Love the plastic love addition at the end of the video. Great video. Brings me back to when I was a kid playing this 20 x times instead of doing homework
Everything from that intro to the soundtrack, gameplay, characters, direction, it’s always going to hold a special place in my heart. It keeps the 6 year old me alive inside. It truly is a spectacular, not only sequel, game.
21:16 "The Alzheimers," plural? That's honestly great, like an Alzheimer is just a forgetful spell, or like the Alzheimers are germs that make you forgetful.
It's always fun to see that other people really love Ratchet & Clank Going commando, it seems like that one is everyone's favorite from the original trilogy, me included. Whenever I see this game or watch people talk about their experiences with the game, it's always nice to hear how fans experienced it. This takes me back to 2004 where I played this game for all of Summer that year. I played the first game first but got stuck in so many places that I ended up skipping it and going to Going Commando only to then go back finish the first game but needless to say, I had so much fun with the sequel and I agree with you in saying it was the perfect sequel. It did everything a sequel should do via improving the core gameplay, fleshing out the characters more (making Ratchet a lot more mature and respectable compared to his younger days in the first game), and just offering a bombastic experience that would last for years. Watching this video... It makes me want to go back and replay the trilogy as I haven't touched the games since I believe... 2009? So yeah, it's definitely been awhile haha. But anyway, great video. For your first time trying a retrospective analysis, I think you did a great job and I think you should totally do more of them (preferably with games you have a deep attachment to). Keep up the great work. :)
Decadent Gamer This is my 2nd favorite. My favorite is tbe first game! I hate alot of stuff from GC, like: - Snivelak - Ace Bunyon - getting that fucking nanotech in Dobbo - The giant protopet is easy - The big swamp monster can kill you one shot with the standard suit in challenge mode (the one where you get the Box Breaker) - The game is not fucking fair! Take an example of Smolg! You need to pay 20k (or 40k I forgot) bolts for that television or infobot - The game is not fucking fair in general! - The crystal section in Tabora is boring! - The crystal section in
Eh well I'm sorry you didn't have as much fun with the game as some of us did, the first game is pretty neat too. It has that feel-good tone that was present during the early 2000s
R&C 2 has always been my favorite of the series. Great video, take my like and subscription! Side note: I'll never forget how scared my brother and I were to try and buy this game at the store because "Going Commando" seemed really naughty to have in a title and we were sure our parents were going to forbid us from buying it.
Ratchet and clank 2 perfected the whole series, I think you did a excellent work on this video! You should continue this formula of success! Also in ratchet and clank 1 the bomb glove is REALLY OP! I used it to beat the whole game! I miss the flying section since it actually was enjoyable when you upgrade your ship and worth a ton of money. 2 of the best weapons is the plasma coil which just bounce back and forward and destroy the proto-pets. and Meteorite gun which is really strong for bosses if you give it the toxic mod, sure firing it normally makes the shot go all over, but once you lock on.... it becomes a really strong and weapon to kill tanky stuff.
There are actually several things I disliked about it. Ratchet, as a character, was COMPLETELY different from the original Ratchet. He went from a real, flawed, believable guy to this Mary Sue-esque perfect superhero. It just didn't seem right to me? They could've at least eased him into his new personality some more, or retained some of his old self. I also would've liked to see a bit more of the original R&C's vibes in it. Remember the Gadgetron vendors in the original one? Funny, loosely written text, this guy that tells you not to take all day, the works. I also like how the original game's story had a bit of a message in it: rampant corporatism is a bad thing. Both Ratchet and Clank grew as characters; they learned a lesson, and they became better versions of themselves. Going Commando's plot, by contrast, just felt... weaker. It wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't as good as the first game. Gameplay-wise, however... yeah, 2 absolutely blew 1 out of the water. Better in every way. Far less clunky, far more weapons to choose from, much more varied missions, interesting gadgets. The game really shone there.
Have no idea what the hell you're talkin' about, he ain't changed all that much in Going Commando, still has the same aggressive edge only more mature, this depiction didn't happen until the re-imaginin'.
This video is a MASSIVE mood
Going Commando is my absolute favorite in the series! Great video!

SuperButterBuns I must say I liked your videos on the Ratchet and Clank series and the Jack and Daxter series. Nice work and keep it up.
Wait a sec, this isn't TheGamingBritShow!
What makes you say that? 😅
(sorry if this got a little long winded, I just wanted to clear things up best I can)
@@TELMEman I feel you bro. LOL 😊🤗

Dude I was looking for this video on TGBS channel
I swear to god, the Ratchet and Clank/Jak and Daxter era was the fucking golden age of platformers. Thank you so much for the vid. :')
Dont forget sly cooper. Ps2 had the trifecta off perfect platformers
Absolutely. :D I've played Jak and Ratchet the most, and only Sly 2 and Thieves in Time, but Sly definitely counts. They're the trio. ^_^
man that was pretty much the golden era of games.. i mean now mechanics and graphics are so much better.. but there was so much more heart in titles.. like in all consoles and pc..
Love the remaster of ratchet and clank on ps4, wish they would do it for the rest of the series, as for jak and daxter, all those games are playable on ps4 but not remastered
yea except the remaster was more of reboot and it used the movie as cut scenes...
>wishes he could remove the ship combat from the game
Am I the only person who actually LIKED those missions?
i loved them lol
I liked them too, they reminded me of Star Fox 64, but with more control on where you're going
I liked them... but I feel like I would have liked them more if they were optional I guess. Some of them were really hard at least for the young me
Best part of the game in my opinion
I loved them as well

MrZurata funny because my 6 and a half year old ps3 slim seems to run or be in better condition than my 4 year old ps4
That happened to me, PS2 is still in good conditon after so many years
Yeah sometimes newer tech isn't always the greatest, My friend had his ps2 from launch and it still work fine without a doubt but the Ps3 or even the Ps4 has already ran into problems weird.
MrZurata lol mine lasted 7 and the only thing wrong was some just on the laser but still better than any 360

This slowdown didn't occur in the original PS2 title to this extent.
Ah the PS2
Weak, underpowered but god damn did was the eDRAM magic
@@commisaryarreck3974 Still incredible what the devs pulled off with the PS2s hardware; its a wonder the Jak and Daxter series was fully open world without loading screens.

Even with the RYNO I'm not using it exclusively.
as a recent R&C fan (started at ps4 r&c), in rift apart i mainly only use the blast pistol and enforcer
the way you describe it makes the game sound really intresting
It was my first ps2 games that I beat in under a day
Always loved up your your arsenal and it's the only ratchet I beat but I'm looking to beat the first 2 with my emulator
Funny, the first one is the only one I ever managed to beat more than once turns out.

Anyhow, point by point:
- I would agree that this is a perfect sequel.
- Holy shit, you’re right about the chanting. o-O
- That shot of Endako really speaks to one of my favorite things about R&C: the phenomenal level design.
- I see you also know about that sneaky bolt pyramid in front of the TV. ;)
- It’s a shame that the returning weapons aren’t that great.
- Some of the Swingshots on that convoy were buggy as hell on the PS2.
- Those cage matches were awesome.
- I really dislike the Mutant Protopet.
I want to add a few things:
- Visibomb Gun in R&C 2 was more like a tool to find crystals and moonstones on wasteland maps rather then a weapon
- Zodiac is the waste of money
- Shotgun in R&C 2 is more like a melee weapon then a mid range weapon (see DOOM 3 shotgun and you will know what I am talking about)
- Soundtrack is GOD LIKE! Check a Todano Planet song th-cam.com/video/8hacLBs5BEE/w-d-xo.html
- Spider Glove is meh
- Skill points that requires SKILL (Wrench Ninja 2 skill point on Joba planet when you are in challenge mode... geeeeeeez...)
- Extra minigames! :D
- Glitched first person mode (Legendary "Wrench Climbing")
- "Yetis are bane in my existence" - Ratchet while traveling through iced wasteland
- ($($($(The Impossible Challenge)$)$)$)
- Sheepinator
- Bouncer is balanced and not OP weapon... wink wink
- Meteor gun is only viable when you have Lock-On mode (Glad they fixed this weapon in R&C 3)
- And I could just type and type and the list would be go on and on and on... so I will just end* this and say:
- And many more so you need to check it by yourself!
Can I save a comment so I can come back and read the rest 😂

I started with Ratchet 1 and no strafing made the game feel a lot harder. You couldn't just run in guns blazing because it was hard to target anything while moving around. In a way it added more tension which was kinda interesting, made the game feel longer too, as you had to be more methodical about how you approached a room full of enemies

I did it first try with just the 2nd armor and a bouncer
Are you happy now?! Thanks to you I've got a nostalgia-trip, bought a Ps3 and am now playing R&C again...
Are you happy? Huh? Well, I am, thanks Cvit ^^
Dang bro remember super bunny hop. Glad you are still around
I totally agree, I believe I said in my review that it's very, VERY hard to make a better second game than Going Commando!
Such a great comprehensive breakdown of this amazing game. Really love the attention to detail/analysis in this video.
Two things that haunted me ever since I touched this game:
The Nanotech boost on the flight section in the testing facility, and the Wrench skill point on planet Joba. The hours I spent trying to figure those two out, yeesh.
Urff..... that wrench skill point!
enigmabloom
What haunted me when I played this game as a child was the "impossible challenge" I think it is called in Second Arena.
Mostly because I wasn't that good in the combat parts and my parents back then were super strict and only let me play for one hour a day.
I "beat" the wrench challenge a number of times but was never given the skill point :'( the only thing stopping me from completing the game...
I figured out how to get that nanotech as a kid back then. You have to fly almost till the very end of the flight and fly far right and up and turn left through between the pilars until you have turned 180 degrees and fly back to the beginning of the flight and fly up and obtain the nanotech.
Nanotech boost at the very beginning on Snivilak too is up there
One thing: what the hell was up with the Mothership boss fight on Damosdel's moon? It never got explained at all, it just sort of happened
Yeah I feel that lol
Devs be like: This game is almost done let's just put some ufos on that level like who doesn't like ufos?
Bunch of dialogue and cutscenes were cut from the last levels, probably because they ran out of time to finish them. They probable would've had a little story for that if they had time to put it into the game. There is a cut cutscene where ratchet looks at the moon and says "See that moon? Let's go explore it."
TheMDbauS that means?
@@TheMDbauS There would also have been a 4th ship combat area, right before the final level. GC already is the longest R&C game, would have been interesting to see how big it would have been with the content they didnt manage to include.
I actually liked the ship combat quite a bit back when, and I think the Clank puzzles from Crack in Time are some of the best puzzle mechanics I've seen in gaming.
I remember, as a kid, being so upset when my cool Lancer pistol turned into a two handed weapon.
Yeah same so I would just do my best to not level it up lmao
Agreed.
it looked a lot cooler as a pistol, always thought that.
I remember being irritated about how the AOE spray lavagun weapon became the single shot high damage meteor gun.
YES thought the same for both of these weapons
@@davelabonte7806 RIGHT? The flamethrower was my main in R&C1 so losing this game's really pissed me off
Yeah, Ratchet & Clank 2 (I'm one of THOSE regions) was a blast to play through, even though I haven't touched the game in years. The HD remake doesn't look all that great in places though, so I'm sticking with the PS2 version.
And yes, Angela's still around. She's mentioned in A Crack in Time as being on the run from Tachyon with the help of Talwyn's dad.
Beriorn stay away from the HD remake it literally turns you away from the series its so bad with no character development and they always just never show emotion and half the dialouge is painful to listen to
I should clarify Im talking about the ps4 "HD remake"
ps4 "HD remake" as you call it is not a remake, it's a reboot. different term different meaning but the ps3 HD remasterd is a solid game.
I have my PS2 copies of GC and UYA that I ripped to my PC. I play them at 1080p with PCSX2 and they hold up pretty well.
It’s called “locked and loaded” in my region
I wouldn’t call this a kids game, it is rated T after all, plus the jokes and innuendos kinda screams ‘not for kids’
But I agree with quote literally everything you said in this. Again that’s me also being biased I love these games and really do consider this the perfect sequel
Edit; also I actually liked the Incredibles game... >_>
RyanMK666
exactly this game looks exactly like a game teenagers would enjoy.
You don't know what innuendos are before you reach the very mature age of 12.
what the hell, this game was rated 3+ in my country lol
@@XxkeijjoxXit is in mine as well, but I can’t really say I’ve ever actually seen kids play this game that’s more what I was meaning. Ratchet and clank is one of those games even as an adult (I turn 30 next year 😭) I still enjoy playing these games.
Yea in todays modern standards in the ESRB, it would go down from a T to a E +10 lol
Ratchet and Clank is the best game franchise EVER in gaming history!
Sadly dying!!!
@@isaacdissonance3967 unfortunaly. But i will always love the franchise!
Cough , cough Trail in the sky(except shit cold steel) , god of war series

This has to be one of my favorite videos in you tube! Everything you said, I had felt as a kid. Down to the smallest detail, like pretending to save the non hostile npcs. And the glider parts were a struggle for my childhood brain to comprehend. Ratchet and Clank was the first ps2 game I ever had and started when I was 6yrs old. Then going commando when it came out. Ratchet was my life and I am proud to say that I mastered it. Thank you for the video.
I love Up your arsenal, but Going comando is just... awesome, it's my third favorite game in the saga. A fucking masterpeace.
“I’m going to praise this game probably more than it deserves.”
Me: [in Ratchet voice] Good 👉
Some feedback to provide: I don't think you need to go through the entire game as thoroughly as you did as it almost makes the video feel like a walkthrough at times. :)
Yeah about 18 minutes in I stopped and was like "this is literally just reading a walkthrough of the game's story"
32:00 that cut made me jump so hard lmao
also going commando was one of the few ps2 games I had growing up so the nostalgia hits real hard watching this!!
What a phenomenal video! I've never heard of you before, but you know how to make a lengthy video enjoyable. That takes some skill!
What about the Insomniac Museum? THAT was one of my favorite parts of the game
No joke, I'm literally playing thru this game rn only to find this gem in my sub box
PSA
You can strafe in Ratchet and clank 1 you need the hover pack and to double tap crouch (R1)
Took me years to finally figure out how/why ratchet would randomly hover on the spot, then you just hold R1 to strafe.
This, I fucking jumped when that static cut noise came. Never do that again.
@Shaman X?????
@Shaman X ironic.
"Thugs 4 less. If it ain't broke, we'll break it."
My favorite line in the series. This game is so funny.
"Riiiigggghhttt, i'm in the the market for some security"
The factory view on ~52:47 reminds me of Oddworld: Abe's Odyssey meat factory the gluckens owned. Litterally, the first cutscenes of that game shows a similar structure.
Or it might have been Abe's Exodus; I forget that sometimes.
R&C og soundtrack >>>>
Even though r&c 2 was a downgrade in terms of music to me, them being rather "heroic" than those d&b groovy tracks from the first one, it's such a experience like no other, still, i do love sequels of r&c for how they expand their world with new chharacters, it really catches my attention.
Omfg I wanted to love Ultra Moon but it constantly treated me like I forgot how to play the game every 10 minutes
Matthew Murillo
Don't forgot we gotta heal your pokemon almost every route like there doesn't exist poke centers or you know Potions, drinks, etc
I love how in the video you take the time to show the transitions from planet to planet in the ship, just thought that was a nice touch.
11:35 I always thought they were chanting "Go, Ratchet!"
26:50 Those helicopters drop nanotech when you kill them, so you definitely do want to kill them if your health is getting low.
Ratchet and Clank 1, 2 and 3 are the only games i can think of that treats you like a badass and is fun to play.
40 seconds in and I already wanna play this game again, even tho i do that already like 3 times a year.. the nostalgia
I just now learned that this is the second game of the series smh. How did I not realize that the logo made the number two after all these fricking years?
mind blown
WTF same.
Agreed, and I also think that the story and villain are better in 1, aswell as the world variety and music.
NeverOutslayed I love both games for different reasons. I definitely appreciate the combat in both games as well.
i played 1 after 2 (i got my ps2 from my brother, and he didn't have number 1. only got it for my birthday last year), and i didn't change anything at all about my play style. my entire thing is run at them, and hope for the best. i never really used the strafing thing in 2.
Bunnyhop and Anderson style videos are amazing, and you definitely did a great job!
Also it reminds me a lot of the GamingBritShow who did a Ratchet & Clank analysis with the remake and the original, at an hour and a half long!
Cvit: 'Ratchet 2 is perfection'
Also Cvit: *Uses Ratchet 1 music*
Great vid. Makes me feel all warm and cozy inside hearing people talk about games they love
I would rank the games I've played as follows:
1) Ratchet and Clank
2) Ratchet: Gladiator/Deadlocked
3) Ratchet and Clank 2
4) Ratchet and Clank 3
5) Tools of Destruction
6) Quest for Booty
I'm surprised people don't talk about Smolg, its always been my favorite planet in Going Commando, especially just the art design of the place alone.
Angela Cross was my first crush. Make of that what you will, but I stand by it.
As much as I agree with alot of the points in the video, I originally played the 3rd game
"Up your arsenal" first, which I felt like was the better game between the two because I liked the combat so much, whereas the 2nd game "Going commando" was actually the last ratchet and clank game I played of the original trilogy, as much as I respected what was going on in the 2nd game, all the improvements and how less of a step and even a step back in some aspects the 3rd game took, I can confidently say I still like the 3rd game more, probably because of my ruby tinted goggles that are also strapped so tight that its hard to imagine them not being bolted to my skull.
@@s.l5787 First game had strafing with Clanks jet pack.
The multiplayer saved UYA for me. Had many hours of fun in splitscreen with friends.
36:45 YES! I always did that on fast lifts like that one.
1:55
Holy shit this hit me in the feels more than the nostalgia of this video.
Wish we didn’t give them up now
In case anybody was wondering, the bg music from 32:06 to 32:45 is Moe Jazz Dreamer (Bossa Nova Version) by Studio TRAM.
Wow I love ratchet and clank myself very much in my opinion the first one is the best because I tgink the leven design is just fantastic and the story but your video just gave me goosebumbs of nostalgia
EA stay away before you ruin it with microtransactions
That includes 'drinks'... and 'desserts.'"
Add that to the list of lines that slipped past me as a kid.
I'll have my own Pizza party, with alcohol and hookers!
So thankful you included the ASMR of the loading ship scenes
This was more a shortened walkthrough with commentary then a review lmao, still love the game
Thank you for including the short 'tv commercials'. It really helped bring the nostalgia back.
An hour long video of your charming voice, yay
Ah, a man of culture.
GC > UYA btw
McCree both are great!
GC MASTER RACE
@SkyOut uya is horrible
Deadlocked > UYA just by a hair
korrok You are objectively wrong.
This was such a good video, RAC2 was my first ever video game and I loved it so much. This video did a great job of explaining the game and giving tips on how to go through it!
One of my all-time favorite series.
Wow wait I thought the Clank Sections were super fun in ACiT. Different folks, different strokes.
I love how this is a Review/Analysis/Retrospective but algo a Walkthrough/Guide of Objects
23:02 - "Make sure you're loaded up with ammo"
23:06 - -shows 3/5 weapons that are out of ammo-
LOL this playthrough analysis was fucking spectacular
R&C2 is probably my favorite game of all time with pretty much infinite replayability, cut-scenes and all
Thanks for this!!
Anybody had a hard time getting those F$uking nanotech boost in going commando
Andrew Plays yes
The worst was to get the platinum bolt by passing every ring with the ship
Infernox 2014 I didn't find it that bad except on Gorn. There some of the rings would be outside your fov so you'd have to fly blind sometimes
puskajussi37 those ship bolts are easy
Infernox 2014 You mean Ace Bunyon?
>Joseph Anderson
>quality
now there's an oxymoron
Really good video! This is definitely my favorite game, so I'm glad you made a video on it. Most R&C fans favor UYA and ACIT and while I love those, I think GC is better. What are your thoughts on the Insomniac Museum? When it comes to certain touches that makes the game better, that's the most obvious gem.
Arcaedon Luminos Oh hai arcaedon
Who's this guy?
This was a very well done video. I hope you make a video like this for the rest of the Ratchet games. You're a really good commentator.
I relate to that Kirby Superstar bit on a deeply personal level.
It truly is a spectacular, not only sequel, game.
watched the whole vid. liked for the fact that you replayed the whole game. the sheer dedication ... is admirable.
21:16 "The Alzheimers," plural?
That's honestly great, like an Alzheimer is just a forgetful spell, or like the Alzheimers are germs that make you forgetful.
I loved this game and the way you explained everything made it even better to watch hope i see a lot more videos like this you earned a subscriber :).
I hate alot of stuff from GC, like:
- Snivelak
- Ace Bunyon
- getting that fucking nanotech in Dobbo
- The giant protopet is easy
- The big swamp monster can kill you one shot with the standard suit in challenge mode (the one where you get the Box Breaker)
- The game is not fucking fair! Take an example of Smolg! You need to pay 20k (or 40k I forgot) bolts for that television or infobot
- The game is not fucking fair in general!
