I’m so envious of everyone who has good thrift stores nearby. All the thrift stores near me are absolutely awful unfortunately.
Chan M oh no!! Mine are hit and miss for sure, but we go at least once a week and we are usually able to find a few good treasures. 😊
Mine are just awful too it is all early 2000s stuff in bad shape
A tip go to your rich area thrift stores or the older areas of your town. (When I say older I mean old people and the areas of towns that have been around the longest)

The second dress, the blue and purple plaid - so beautiful. That plaid was very popular in the 50’s and even early 60’s. My Mom had a dress in it but a circle skirt version.
You were so lucky to get that plaid one, in outstanding shape, for only $4! 😯
My favorite is the yellow dress because yellow is one of my favorite colors😀 go yellow woohoo!!!!!

Omg you are the best, Laci. Even though I never been in 50s, I still get a really pleasant nostalgia when watching you. My grandma tells me a lot of stories about her youth. She says that she and her mom use to wear dresses like that. She tells me a lot of things about her youth, and I kind of think about her youth with kind jealousy. I wish I could be from her generation or her mom’s generation. She and her mom lived in the Soviet Union era. ( we are from Armenia ) To be honest, the dresses you wear were also in fashion in the Soviet era during the 1950s. Keep up the good work, Laci. I liked this video. 👍👍👍😍

Love the thrifted no label dress near the end. My mother had a dress just like this and when I was in my teens I used to borrow it from her all the time.

I was a teenager in the fifty's I can honestly say with out of all the fashion through my life this was the best I always felt smart I'm going to y 88 tomorrow she as brought wonderful memories on my special day

This was a time when the material worn was from natural resources. Cottons, wool (the industry is struggling right now because consumers are not buying wool and we could loose a resource), and other great fabrics. These were my mother's era clothes and I am old now. Thanks for the fashion show. Lovely! and You mentioned shops in my state. Thanks. I look forward to shopping. You must have radar.

You're dresses are lovely and I have extreme dress envy! I do shop the local thrift shops in my area, but vintage clothing is a specialty item in very expensive boutiques. Some day, I hope I will magically wake up a 50's homemaker! Meanwhile, you look amazing!

omg I love this! I am just getting into vintage, so I only have one $100 dress my grandma bought me, but I never wear it since I'm afraid I'll get it dirty! But my makeup and hair is always vintage!

I was working on a design for my theatre class, and I chose to do a 50s costume design. Seeing someone in the dresses really helped me to get a feel for the period and not to mention the person wearing the clothes is a sweetheart.
Your Christmas dress and the last one were my favorites but they all look beautiful on you! I am building my wardrobe still, and ever shall be lol. Unfortunately, our thrift shops in my area never have lovely finds like these. Occasionally we cannfind good handbags or a pair of shoes and our flea markets carry some unique vintage costume jewelry or reproductions. I've become somewhat of a decent sewer having found bundles of vintage 50s patterns here and there. Such a fun video! Thank you for sharing

I would say the yellow is my absolute favorite next would be the plaid with the reddish collar and then the last plaid. But overall they all are really pretty and you look lovely in them!

I would love to buy and wear mid 1900's dresses for the summers, but I'm scared that if I got out my friends or someone would go up to me and tell me i remind them of their grandma.
I love 1940's - 1960's stuff, and the early 1900's classical music, I'm not "born in the wrong century", I just love those old feelings.

I liked how they dint fake the facial features instead did maximum with what they have unlike nowadays plumping lips, broom like lashes soo long, cat claws nails, charcoal like contour, complete colour family in hair, neon eyeshadows😂
