Totally agree. These people who swear they were “born in the wrong generation” have no interest in history and make absolutely zero effort to educate themselves on the hardships and civil unrest of their predecessors. The 50s wasn’t solely about glam cat eyes and a-line skirts and the fact that ppl are so obsessed with aestheticising everything into polished looks means forgetting sociohistorical context.

So many kids are chubby and then they have a growth spurt and lose the weight. And if anyone doesn’t lose it, and is a bit more plump, who cares?! And freckles are BEAUTIFUL!! I have a face full of them and always have. Now people are getting freckles TATTOOED ON THEIR FACE! Just had to get that off my chest. We are all beautiful no matter what.

Romanticizing a generation that you’ve never lived before when that generation is single handled probably the worst anyone would want to live in is sad. I can’t really blame her. I’m starting to transition my home and even my personal style to be more reminiscent of the 70’s and 80’s. When you have seen what society used to look like vs what it has devolved into now, and the continued decline and decay it’s going down into, it’s easy to want to reject that. Add to it the nostalgia and it’s a win. This is one of those things that really is just someone doing what makes them happiest and truly not hurting anyone with it.
