I like the idea of developing self trust through adventure. Lack of trust comes up in attachment style- it’s interesting to think about the self trust connection. For example in fearful avoidant attachment, trusting externally is hard because the attachment figures didn’t feel safe in some way. But I imagine this also doesn’t lead to self trust.
