I've been baking bread fruit for yrs now ...it's not always true that when it swell that mean it bake nope I've learned that 1 too many times...what I learn is when baking a bread fruit it normally produces a sticky liquid on it outside skin we in st Vincent and the grenadines called that sticky liquid stain I don't knw what other countries called it ,once all tht stain is evaporated that's one way you can tell ur bread fruit is bake another way to tell you can use a leaf off a coconut branch stripe the leaf n used d pointer and pierces the head of the bread fruit where the stem once was and once that pointer go through without any difficulty then u knw its bake....nuff love ❤ and respect 🙏 all the way from st Vincent and the grenadines 🇻🇨🇻🇨
I really just check it with a knife and pierce if through the top middle and see if it comes out clean . Thanks for watching. Blessing and respect.
You right I’m 🇻🇨to and my uncles when the roast it outside the use the coconut spike to tell as well but I guess a knife would do to.

Thank you thats what im checking for
I never knew you can roast breadfruit in the oven😮 Thank you for this video. I can’t wait to make me some… Much love from 🇻🇮 🇧🇧
It can be done. Just takes a little more time in the oven to come out perfect
Yes you can it come out good
I am baking breadfruit for years and find that when I rub them with oil before putting them in the oven they are more pliable and the skin not hard also I run the knife straight through from the top to the bottom Inorder for the heat to penetrate the heart
I will try the oil next time. Normal when I do the breadfruit in the oven the skin just comes off.I don't have to cut into it.only if I want that smooth surface. Thanks for watching
Thank you for your interested video, your breadfruit is looking lovely and delicious 👍🏽
Thanks very much, instructions was clear and easy to follow
Thanks for watching
Thanks for this post me love a breadfruit thanks for this advice didn’t know about the cross on the bottom. Those ones look good but how do you choose one what should you look for when you’re buying a breadfruit
They are so misleading because you have white heart and yellow heart breadfruit and the yellow heart are the ones that are good for roasting . I am not good at it either. Someone always do the choosing for me but
I know you can cheat and kinda dig into the breadfruit that you gonna buy and see if it's yellow . if it soft it's ripe or gonna be ripe so that is of no use only if you want it for juice or baking.
Did it cause any smoke?
Never experience any smoke.
What does it taste like? I read about breadfruit in "mutiny on the bounty" and have always been curious to try it, but nobody seems to have heard of it where I live!
Can you do a video on how to pick a good roasting breadfruit?
Nice video & Thanks 😊
Thanks for watching
Hi. Thank you for sharing this. Question: can this breadfruit be stored the same way you store the fire roasted ones? Whole?
Yes it can. Slice it up before freezing will be easier when next resfy to prepare. Thanks for watching

I did this but the breadfruit in the middle turns out green with large holes and is tough to cut so we’re those bad picks for breadfruit ?
@@b.freeman2118 .So Sorry to hear.. Might be a few reasons. It could be a young breadfruit and wasn't ready to be picked off tree or it could be that the breadfruit was a cooking breadfruit and normally doesn't turn out good when roast..... I know it might be confusing 😕...I know.. I rely on others to select it for me and fingers 🤞to see the outcome..
