    I don’t know about that.
The difference between 50 and 55 mm is only 5mm.
But it’s also an 10% increase.
And just putting a smaller stem decrease the total length, but the angle of entry will definitely change.
It’s something you can definitely experiment with, but don’t expect the dart to behave the same.

Agree, it is all about experimenting and to be informative as I provide fun videos and videos to pause and think, because many players will shy away from going above 51mm darts because they think a 3mm or 5mm difference is going from a dart to a harpoon, yet when explained this way they are less likely to dismiss a barrel length and try something new. With variations of stem lengths and flight styles some have found their new forever darts be it longer barrels, shorter stems or different flight style. Just informative information only and thank you for watching

There are a lot of variables besides the barrel length to consider. Do you grip the front, middle, or rear, for instance. I throw heavier (26g) darts, so I prefer longer barrels to keep my darts thin enough (given the same % of tungsten) to not block a treble. I definitely recommend trying out a big variety to find what works for you. Of course, without any darts shops near me, my trial and error process was expensive!

You didn’t mention the biggest difference; the balance and weight distribution. Even though you can achieve the same overall length of dart by changing the stem and flight combo, the overall balance of the darts won’t be the same.

Thank you for your input, but I believe that is something individuals like myself eventually find out that once you change anything on a dart it will affect it for the good or bad. Much like individuals buying darts of high caliber players expecting same results, but yet the darts themselves and accessories are nowhere near what the actual player uses, in most cases. I hope you found the video informative and fun at the same time. Thank you for watching it.
These videos are for information and mostly entertainment purposes.

I'm sorry, but this is just wrong. Dart lengths are different for a reason and for some of us, that reason can result in a significant difference in dart behaviour.

For some yes, but also adjusting stem length and flight styles have a high probability of adjusting that difference and improving your dart throw and can have the same reverse effect. My videos are fun video and to provide some information that people do not think of. Thanks for watching it
