- This is a 220V AC voltage regulator circuit, I use it to adjust the fan speed. i use 555 ic to generate PWM, Use triac BTA12 (12A 600V) and photocoupler MOC3020 to adjust AC voltage. Be careful, I do not use transformers in this circuit, touching any component will cause electric shock.

I have watched this video over and over again, the pwm on the scope is perfect but dose the output of the Triac still remain sinusoidal after regulation?
You should show the output voltage waveforms on the scope as well.

It would be very interesting if it were possible to realize an electronic variac from 0 to 300Vac with 220volt input. It would be a very nice project.
You can use TCA785. The datasheet of this IC has what do you want.

You can use TCA785. The datasheet of this IC has what do you want.
I wouldn't recommend a zero crossover, because the peak voltage will remain at the peak of the Input voltage. Zero crossing is for dimmers only, since they do not limit the peak of the input voltage, they work on passing more or less full halfwaves. The lesser of halfwaves it lets pass to the output, the dimmer the light.

Converting 31VAC to 19VAC is best using a transformer or reducing it with a serial power resistor (if the 19VAC is constantly loaded with 1.6A). In this case a 7.5 Ohm resistor with at least 20 Watt Power dissipation is recommended.

i have a similar situation in Portugal (here,where the **INjustice** system sucks,but that is besides the point) and yes, mine works perfectly.
Normally triac requires phase angle control, i dnt know how u hav used pwm to control the triac
The potentiometer could be used to provide feedback for the triac, so I dont know why he used a pwm.
It only requires zero crossing detector when you are controlling it from, lets say, an microcontroller, for applications such as soft start or automatic controlling.
There's is phase angle control and there is burst firing method also.
I build the SG3525 inverter and the AC output is about 300v can I used this Dimmer circuit to adjust it to 220 volt?? If no please what is my solution?
I think you should use feedback voltage of SG3525. It will be more effective.

Unfortunately it will not be a good solution. I recommend to have a feedback circuit to control the pulse width to limit the output voltage.

I saw some Cockcroft-Walton multiplier, but it appears they provide DC Output. What about 110VAC to 220VAC without transformer?? Preferably with only passive components also.

This is only halfways correct since the fan power is heavily decreased due to the output waveform of your circuit is not a sine wave. Sajid Nawaz will have a problem with the extremely wattage of the heating pad.

Se vc me seguir e me pedir eu faço, mas vc tem que compartilhar tb. Tem de fazer uma ponte H com mosfets, e um driver pro gate utilizando uma alimentação extra.
O que o cara fez não precisava um pwm, somente um triac + diac + resistor + capacitor + potenciometro.
Eu tenho um circuito muito simples que uso pra descer um pouco a potência de um ventilador velho-110VAC que só funciona em 220VAC, mas que aquece muito kkk.

Just think about it... The circuit acts like a phase dimmer. The impulse triggers and turns on at part of the waveform. The area of the remaining wave form is equal to the output power. Compared with a full-size sine wave, the output power is about 1/3 to 1/2 of the 80 watt you will expect. Good thing is, since your load doesn't involve electronic components (hopefully) you will not damage anything as long as you don't exceed 130VAC ( arythmetic middle)
