Wow Robert what a beautiful bowl the grain is fantastic, I really didn't realize that the vacuum would have warped the bowl that much, something to look out for
That's beautiful, Robert. That was a fantastic piece of wood. If you sent those cutoffs to DD, he would cast them in resin and make something. And don't forget to keep Harry away from that vacuum chuck. Who made those double ended calipers you were using? Bill
Mmmmmm, maple burl. Love the design. If Harry gets a new girl friend and changes his mind about staying single, you can give him the bowl for his wedding consumption.🤣🤣🤣
Dale Haskin, very nice job, like the rust chipper texture. Vacuum chucks are not for me, I sucked out the bottom of beautiful lacewood bowl, live and learn. PS everything was good except for the talking beaver, lol.
Thanks Dale! I really thought I was close to having a funnel on this one but after I took it off I still had about an 1/8 inch. I couldn't believe how much the vacuum was making it move.
Beautiful piece 👍. Love the grain
Thank you very much! Everyone loves burls!
Beautiful looking piece Robert, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching Gary!

Yeah, I was a bit surprised as well when it still showed it being about 1/8in thick at the bottom.
Absolutely gorgeous Robert.
Thanks Jack!
Awesome bowl, Robert! Really pretty grain... I love burls!
Thanks Billy! Me too! I think I may have to splurge at SWAT next year and pick out some nice ones to turn.

Love this one Hodge! It’s beautiful!
Thanks Seth!
And I work extra hard to not leave tool marks in my projects. I must be missing something. Nice job.
Haha! Just wait till I intentionally leave some bowl gouge marks on a piece! I took a class with Al Stirt once where we did that.
beautiful, Robert
Thanks Ward!
Damn Harry was quite thirsty by the end of it 😳😳
Yep, he was quenched!

Thanks Scott! Burls are always a good time!

Your wood looks so hard in this one!
😏
Very lovely piece. It's burl but from what kind of tree?
Thanks Judith, this was a piece of Maple Burl.
Mmmmmm, maple burl. Love the design. If Harry gets a new girl friend and changes his mind about staying single, you can give him the bowl for his wedding consumption.🤣🤣🤣

Hey Robert. What are you wiping down that bowl with?
Mahoney's Walnut oil is the finish on this one.
beautiful, can I ask what finish you used?
I used Mahoney's Walnut oil
@@HodgePodgeWoodWorks thank you
What air power tool you were using called?
It's called a needle scaler. I believe it's main intention is for removing rust from metal.
WOW..... that is all
Thanks! madrone burl is definitely one of my favorites!
Très jolie bravo 👍👏
Thanks!
Keep him right Harry.
I won't let a beaver control me!
Nice piece. Not sure the texturing tool was needed, it did not seem to add any value.
Yeah, Didn't really add the amount of texture I was looking for. Thanks for watching!
Utter filth. More, please!
Haha! You got it!
