Praise the Lord for this video!! It was a huge blessing to guide me on our 97 Montero passenger door latch unit. Ours was just full of corrosion. I used WD-40 and a small screwdriver to get the gunk out. I didn't have to remove the inside door handle latch rods but I did upon reinstallation. All screws accounted for after getting the door put back together lol
Followed this as closely as possible to perform the same procedure on a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant which was very similar. Even forgot the glass track until I saw the bolt for it. Thank you for taking the time to video this. I could not have done it without this video.
My actuator seems to be working OK, but I;m having trouble with both door locks not turning to unlock doors. If the car is in the sun and warm, the key will turn the lock to open, but when it's cold, I have to move the key from side to side until it will finally open....any ideas how to fix this?
My driver's side door lock is not engaging or disengaging properly. This is causing the alarm to prematurely engage whenever any of the doors are opened, with the except to the rear hatch. I suspect the actuator needs replacing and was glad to find your video. I have a 2002 Montero Sport so your video will/should apply to my swap out of the suspect bad actuator. The video seems to halt around the 3:34 mark. Is there any way you can send me the video file or re-post the video? Many thanks, Paul
