Wow, you just saved me about $300... Our front door keys were getting hard to turn. We were about to call a locksmith to change the whole deadbolt until I saw your video. Only thing I did different was to use DeoxIt F5, which I normally use on my stereo system knobs that collect dirt and crackle when turning them because of dirt/dust and I had it very handy to get to. Did this as I saw some other video that says that 4Wd is a bit oily and collects dirt, plus my 4WD is somewhere in my shed and it is cold and dark here at the moment. It worked beautifully and all our keys are turning nicely. Thank you very much. I subscribed. PS. the audio was fine for me. I might have been more focus and what you were doing.

I have an 88 Camaro I put the wrong door key in the door cylinder it went in easy but now I put the right key in the door cylinder and it won't turn at all. Can I apply the same method or do I need to replace something? It sounds like it might be much more involved.
Thank you. I found out it was the battery in the key fob. Poor radio signal seizes the door lock. Which is a design flaw but it's now de'iced & degreased for the next few decades.
@@dustintunis9347 I was using older version of adjustable wrench the one that looks like hammer and also while doing it only by hand the breaking key casing was certain wrench helped to stabilise it
something like the WD40 red "stick" sprayer. I did that I had to use tweezers to get it out. I also have a lock pick set so I had the little metal part pushed back so I could see inside.
I got an old k1500. Key wont turn just like in this video. But sadly i learned the hard way.. I manaually pressed down my locks and shut the door. Later i go to unlock it and key wont turn. Had to break in with a hanger. Later im going to try your trick so i can have working security on my vehicle
Didn't work. Suddenly two of my locks stopped working, and I tried WD40, and some other sprays. Tried it several times over a few days, and they are still locked up.

Some WD40 or degreaser? Man, degreaser is the LAST thing you want to put in there! It may lube it up temporarily but it is going to wash out all the lubrication in the lock and it will be metal on metal. Stick with the WD40, or PB Blaster. I personally use a little grease, makes it very smooth and lasts.
