We have the king-size pack on our 24. We just did a 5-day trip from Tacoma to Idaho, and it's the most comfortable my wife has ever been. She now refers to it as her "Throne."
I appreciate your videos on the bike, you’re giving alot of us the courage to save a little money and tackle these not so hard projects ourselves instead of what the dealership and others shops are charging for subpar work these days.
I fully agree. I am color matching the pack along with the rear fender. You may be wondering why I’ll be paint matching the rear fender when it’s already painted. Stay tuned for that, I plan to mess it up pretty good 😎🙌⚡️
Are you painting your fender black? Did you really “mess it up?” I very curious to see what you’re doing. I might be buying the same bike you have soon and I already have the black tour pack.
I just got your lowers with speaker pods and I am impressed. I have been eye balling the tour pack, too bad you didn't offer it in mysterious red sunglo paint.
Nice video and I actually have the same bike and put a chop tour pack on it. Harley sells a spacer kit for 39.99 that actually moves up the tour pack so it’s not so close when you open the bag.
At 7:59 you mentioned an adapter harness to fit the new 2024 models. Do you have a part number for that adapter and harness? My dealership can't seem to find it.
I have seen it on their website, I’m still looking, I found it on Amazon, my buddy went this route www.amazon.com/APPOCAT-Tour-Pak-Harness-23-24-Street/dp/B0CYMFH6HR?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&psc=1&smid=A5FGYUJWRV965
I don’t think I’ll do the luggage rack on top. Not until I deem it a necessity. That is just a little too full old man for me, I just rolled 30, im just not quite there yet 😭😅
@@OffWeekGarage I totally agree Harley ( or aftermarket ) needs to come out with a sporty spoiler style luggage rack maybe with an integrated LED for these new bikes. Similar to what you can get on the newer goldwing, thats the only way a luggage rack is going on my bike!
Go ahead and get rid of the retractable lid tether. Got 2 of these packs, and they already have broke. I put a steel cable style from the older harley tour packs.
I have the same tour pack from the same company, so mine as well go ahead and order a tether because that one is going to break and buy a better bottom rack
Looks great! Personally i think the lights make it look better!...1 question...how did you plug the empty antenna holes!? Thanks for sharing...stay safe out there!😎🤙👍🤙👍🇨🇦
Great question, I chose to use seam sealer. The same stuff that you would see under the hood of your car that’s painted over and looks like gum. Great stuff. And then just a dab of black paint to make it blend really nicely!!
Can you tell me more about how to hook up and make the tour pack speakers work on the 2024 road glide. I followed your diagram to hook the speakers up but don’t get any sound from the speakers.
Installed the light but can you give me more info on the harness quick connect. I understand where to wire it in but don't understand where to cut the harness and how to use the connection so you can take the tourpak off thanks!
You’ve also done stage 2 fairing speakers, take the stock fairing speakers and throw them in your pack instead of the cheap speakers it comes with. I have the exact same setup and swapped them over. It would be better if I bought another set of stage 2 fairing speakers for the rear but these are free and better than what the tour pack came with.
Can you please share the pics of how you connected the wires below the plate to side markers. I have the exact same parts but unable to figure which wire goes where . And I have 4 wires coming out of the harness . Not sure what to attach to bike. I have a 2015 vrod muscle .
I hate to bother you again but. I picked up the 12 to 6 pin wiring harness and the 6 pin disconnect wiring harness. Can you tell me what the P&A relay pin is for? The other 5 pins I get. Thanks
Would I have to buy the stage 2 amp to be able to run the tour pack speakers? Or will the stock amp work if I pin them into the stock 12 pin the same way you did in this video
@@W3ird1 you have to buy the stage 2 amp unfortunately. I double checked and tried. The stock amp is only a 2 channel amp. Need 4 channel amp to run 4 channels or 4 speakers.
@@OffWeekGarage Once I had confirmation on what you did, I used a Vice grip and broke loose the long bolt, and it came out. Do you know of a 6 to 12 pin plug I can buy instead of wiring like you had to do. Thanks, and a link would help.
Thanks for the video. My opinion is the tour pack should be plug & play from the company. Also the building quality is not so good. Personally i would buy the original Harley tour pack or from Advanblack. Quality, easy to install...satisfaction for the customer.
Boy are you in for a surprise when you find out the TCMT and Advanblack tour packs are made by the same manufacturer 😅 The tour pack is plug and play, but its also modular in terms of giving you options of what you want to install on it which I I personally appreciate. I am a big fan of spending what is necessary to have a quality product and this fits that criteria for me. The oem Harley tour pack is still plastic and still needs to be drilled and wired to add whatever you want and every add on is double the price of these aftermarket options.
