@@BrockJaden I understand your point, but I like to think that we learn by doing. Maybe it goes good and maybe it goes less good, but I think it will be entertaining content anyhow.
I remember reading some stuff like 10+ years ago about a guy in the US who was trying to do what you guys are doing but the supercharger inlet was the huge bottleneck... good luck!!!
Twin charging is amazing but skip the bypass valve seal it shut and get ready to handle the boost. As to which one you want to turn up when the time comes I think youl find it's gonna be a bigger blower pulley (less boost) and more turbo. Reason being intercooling and drive loss. Really Im a compound turbo kinda guy but twin charging does give the response. Great for road racing or drifting but not so much for drag racing in my opinion.
I mean the twin charge setup is dope for sure so it would be cool to see you get it to work. Though at the same time cool isn't always fast lol. Fast is king! So if you can't make it work, throw that supercharger out of it and let those turbos do the work!
Make it work, throw what ever unicorns and rainbows you need to, i want to see a supercharged 6.2L twin turbo crown vic. It has something to do with physics and that is way above my pay grade :D
Many props for venturing down this road when most just talk about it or assume they know because of internet. The sound is worth it. And it obviously aint slow.
@@BoostandBadHabits Maybe it needs nitrous+fuel. That should wake everyone up. 😊 Is your management specific for monitoring that? I've never heard of anyone "specializing" management for sc+t (sensors) Maybe a mechanical rising rate fpr is the fix. I don't know, I'm glad I'm just watching. lol Good luck cuz
@@krijadtes it has separate sensors monitoring supercharger boost and turbo boost individually. Also has a mechanical rising rate regulator already that is functioning properly.
Full send ahead. You're going to need the fuel system if it's just twin turbocharged making good boost anyway. Might as well give the twin charging setup a fair fight. It should rip if you guys figure it out!!
Lower blower boost will be better as the mechanical power to run it is less. That is as long as it will make the boost you want. Lower blower boost may decrease how fast the turbos spool though
Or can you have to charger start building the boost and have the Bo’s come on round 2k rpm and then have the charger cutout round 5k rpms possibly or something like that cause the charger will run outta steam up in the higher rpms I believe
The problem is we shouldn't be anywhere close to being out of fuel system at the 400hp the logs and calculators saying it makes. Dual 340s with 1000cc Injectors should make a good bit more than that
How are you reading manifold pressure? Do you use a maf? Not sure about Holley but I've set up a mega squirt system and had to measure maf plus manifold and charge pipe pressures all together to calculate fuel properly. Could be if you're running a map only that the signal is erratic under boost and maxing out injector pulse? I'd love to see your data logs
I had a thought. I wonder if the charge pressure from the turbos acting against the vanes in the super charger. Instead of adding to the overall boost, the pressure is acting to slow down the vanes somehow? A twin screw design is meant for pulling air in, not sure about how it acts when forced air is added to the inlet side.
Another thing. I used to be a Volvo tech and they make a 4 cyl dual charged motor. They control boost with a bypass control valve. Its manifold allows turbo boost to bypass the supercharger completely and the super charger boost vents when it switches to turbo boost. So from 800-2500 it's all SC and above it's all turbos. Not both at the same time. Makes me think they did that for a reason instead of compounding it.
because it's a crown vic and it's scared to go fast because it's nature. you need to kidnap the vic like they kidnapped Rourke in cod ghosts and brainwash it
The 400whp is puzzling. But your compounding boost. Need to get a master tuner to send you a base tune as well being is compound set up. Don’t give up on it yet. Really cool and unique idea.
@@TheSandstormYT 2 master tuners from Holley themselves checked the whole tune out at Ford Fest and said everything was perfect that it's just not making power.
Gotta keep the supercharger and turbos, too unique not to make it work
True. All I hear is the turbos and not the engine. But it sounds good
I like the twin charging idea. It's not what everyone else is doing and that's what makes it interesting for me.
