    Hello everyone, i bought the Kuying Teton tts642ul. Its a very good quality rod and totally the same as European domestic rods. The blank and action is very good. The eyes and reel holder are straight on the blank. No imperfections, glue marks, scratches or anything like that. The rod is perfectly build. The rod is also very light. I really like the Fuji components. It arrived with 13 days very fast from China (even faster then some European webshops). It got shipped in a thic tube with the rod wrapped in bubblewrap for good protection while shipping. And there is a good padded rod sleeve included too. I was sceptic at first because it comes straight from China so i wouldnt know what to expect but it turned out to be a great deal. And it seems like this is a good brand. So i really recommend this rod especially for this price i cant find a better one.

    This rod is a beast. I had it for 4 years and caught pike, zander, perch, chub and asp. I have the baitcasting version and paired with an old Daiwa Fuego with custom shallow spool and bearings. I can cast lures from 2-3 grams up to 12. Worth every cent!

      Agree. At first I wasn't conviced, it looked to "slow" for my taste.. Even though it could be a bit faster BUT I own 2 of them with quite a few spare tips 👌

    I ordered the SUL version of this from Ali Express on the 25/06 and it's due to be delivered to my address in the UK between the 02/07 and the 07/07, so a very quick delivery time. I'm really looking forward to putting it through its paces when it arrives

      Yes, delivery times are not bad.
      The rod you ordered is too sloppy for my taste (medium action) but I am sure you've read the description hence the purchase. Happy fishing 👌

      @@AndrewsKnots I mainly fish for perch on micro soft plastics so I tend to go for rods that are suitable for casting lures less than 1 gram in weight. I have purchased a Shimano Vanford 500 to pair it up with

    Nice rod, Andrew. Thank you. Are there any rods with 0.3-5 gr casting weight and around 2 m length with medium fast/regular action on Ali that you tried and can recommend? Something that would work well for UL dropshot.

      Hi,
      The only in the SUL/XUL range I have/tried is this one tiny.cc/t3bmjz BUT it will be too short for you, I believe though. Nice rod though, I use it for silverfish mostly, like here: th-cam.com/video/53-AW4pICUg/w-d-xo.htmlm 👍👍

      I watched the video on silverfish with great interest as catching silver fish is my challenge for the coming season and I am getting my arsenal ready. Can’t wait to try your perfection loop rig. I forgot this variation of loop knot - I usually do perfection loop using the two loop method with line in the middle. I guess that should work too. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

    Hello Andrew! What are the differences between that rod and the kuying superlite ajing apart from the latter being more expensive? Which one of those is more suitable for saltwater bottom fishing? Also, Which rod will perform better with small minnows like duo toto 48hs? Thanx!

      They are more different than similar. One is tubular other is solid and most of it is because of that as explained here th-cam.com/video/A9c1ExEVvqk/w-d-xo.html

    Hey, I really love your videos! I’m really interested in investing into Kuying rods after your videos. But will Teton 662L also work good on fast river streams, as it’s medium-fast action, will it have enough power for 4g spinners and etc.? Or could you give some advice for Kuying rod for wider fast stream rivers for trout?

    • @AndrewsKnots
      @AndrewsKnots  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, 4 g. spinner can be huge and create lots of drag... It should be ok up to size 1 or 2 maybe (still I am just guessing here as I don't know what places you will be using it at).
      Basically, this rod is rated correctly and bends more or less the same amount as similarly rated rods when using lures with high drag.

    • @AndrewsKnots
      @AndrewsKnots  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would need a code or something to tell you whether I have it or not. In general, Kuying marks their rods ok. So, if given lure is within declared casting weights range - you should be fine.

    Could you recommend me a good crankbait that would work nicely with this rod I have rod on order. Would like crank baits for perch ,never really used crankbaits before so your help would be appreciated.

    • @AndrewsKnots
      @AndrewsKnots  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It will be difficult to answer as crankbaits can be deep-diving or shallow runners. It will depend on the waters you are likely to fish.
      In any case, for Perch and using this rod, stick with about 5 cm. long ones.
      A few of my favorites:
      Shallow runners/floating bit.ly/2HK4dbb and bit.ly/3kTlwVC
      Sinking bit.ly/2TMaBAM
      Remember to replace the hooks to single ones to get more performance out of these cheap lures. All info here th-cam.com/video/xYpCitpxSTg/w-d-xo.html

      Probably it will be related to the fact that you have some settings set via cookies or similar. Try deleting them (or use incognito tabs). The seller posts that rod (and others) to the UK for sure ✌

    Can you review the Tsurinoya Kingfisher reels? I have heard a lot of good things about them for the money they cost. Thank you

    • @AndrewsKnots
      @AndrewsKnots  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had one of the early ones a couple years back.
      It was a nice reel to fish with but it used to make odd wrap just above spool's lip (underneath of the drag's screw/knob) and then on the next cast big loop of line used to appear somewhere deep in the spool. So, it consumed 100 m. of expensive line in a few weeks. My Daiwas or Shimanos does that maybe once in many months..
      FYI, above used to happen when using thin braids (PE0.2-PE0.3). Maybe with thicker stuff it's fine. Or maybe they've improved it..
      All in all, I won't waste my money to review something which I had poor experience with.
      I don't recommend this reel.

      The seller always declares low value for the rod. At least that was my experience so far.
      In any case, I am thinking what could I get for 100 bucks that would be better/similar/would have Fuji components and I can not think of anything at the moment.
