    Great video from somebody who understands how a good rod blank should perform. I'm tired of watching reviews by young mainly American kids who drone on about "how awsome" this or
    that is but on a technical level they wouldn't know how to judge a good blank from a poor one. Because you understand how a good fishing rod should be made i would be confident to buy this rod just on your review because you talk about tip weight and the spine of the rod, and where the line guides should be placed, all more important than "how awsome" it looks.
    Recently i've started to buy MIC fishing rods directly from some of the manufacturers and these are well designed rods made with decent quality fittings. No problem buying Chinese made fishing rods built on imported Japanese Toray carbon from 30 ton and up to 50 ton. They also use Korean Toray carbon blanks.
    But you have to remember some of these companies make OEM
    tackle for many of the American, European, and Japanese companies. The Chinese are now producing very sophistated blanks at the highest level and these are used to make some very expensive rods sold under one of the big western brand names. Because there are many young wealthy Chinese people
    they demand higher quality items and that includes fishing tackle. That's why you are seeing a rise in good quality fishing rods aimed at the domestic market rather than export market.
    Rosewood and Dagger also sell decent rods, and Dagger use a lot of Toray blanks and Fuji guides and reel seats in their range of rods. And the prices are at least 50% cheaper than similar spec rods sold in US or Europe. In some cases shipping is free.

    I'm planning to buy the same rod. Your tips are very useful. Thanks a lot. Don't stop your project please! You're one of the best on the Internet regarding ul bc segment. It's not so difficult to become a professional in a specific field. But it's so hard to shear your skills in a simple manner. Your are really good in this practice. God bless you!

    Watched a number of reviews for B C rods as I've not owned one before now, and this one swayed me to get this rod. Have been using it for 3 weeks now, and am extremely pleased with the performance, and the build quality is excellent. First thing I did was to test the Spine, and yes, it's exactly where it should be. A great and honest review, cheers 👍👍👍

    Funny how I stumbled upon this video just minutes AFTER ordering this exact rod. I'm feeling better about my purchase based on this review, which by the way was an excellent job. Well done BCSG Fishing. Finding rods of this power/action/overall specs domestically here in the US is next to impossible, this rod pretty much met all of my requirements. Now the wait begins ...

    Good morning, I just bought the TTS 632 arrived is three days have not yet tested it, found it very thin but according hows videos it will have not trouble now watching your video'm more confident to buy a TTC 662 UL because I want to buy a reel from Shimano Aldebaran to the group. thank you. keep posting exelente quality video and excelent product information u could post a video with that stick. thank you so much

    • @wendyjones5036
      @wendyjones5036 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +mario Demetrio . Of course the rods are thin, they're UL rods. I think this rod is not for you. This kind of fishing requires finesse,
      and i think you are used to much heavier rods. By the sound of it you are used to heavy action rods with thick heavy blanks. Stick to rods that throw lures of up to 2.oz and you will be fine and won't be worrying about the rod breaking cos it's not thin.

    Great Vid BCSG ... as usual. I Just wanted to bring to your attention one point. i think that what you call "backbone" is what is commonly named in Rodbuilding "the spine of the blank". Speaking of bacbone could be a bit misleading. For me, backbone is more relating to the ability of the rod to fight good size fish. Nevertheless, I consider having guides on the spine (or 180°, depending if we have a casting or a spinning rod) a very important point regarding a rod.

    I've got my teton 662L on its way to me.
    I see this video is 4 years old, is the rod still as good as it was 4 years ago? Or has it been improved in any way?

    Hi there, I want to ask you about TTC602UL 1.80m and 1-4g are as good as this one? What do you think?TTC662L on your video it's to big for what I want normally I would like one around 5-5.5ft for trout fishing on small creeks.
    P.S. Nice and constructive videos you got, keep the good work 😉👍

    Hey man, I wanna try out Baitcast for the first time. I was thinking about getting the Teton L because my other light rod just broke into pieces. Do you think I can manage an L Baitcaster as a beginner or would you recommend something higher? This Teton L looks just like what I need at the moment

    • @BCSGFishing
      @BCSGFishing  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      +voitec92 I think that all baitcasters are the same difficulty for a new user. Light or heavy the techniques are generally the same. Of course light tackle and finesse reels can cast lighter lures, but assuming you have the appropriate reel and rod for the lures that you use, there isnt much difference in learning to use a baitcasting setup. The teton L is definitely worth considering for the price.

    After this video I have ordered the Kuying Teton L. Even Kuying is not allowed to sell their products in Germany (there is a dedicted distributor who has the rights) they will ship you the rod to your country. I wanted to use the rod with a Daiwa Alphas SV. The rod broke on the second throw with a 7g bait...very disappointing

    Hey man! great vids you have there, really quality setups! would you have any thoughts on the MAJORCRAFT BASSBARRA RODS? I'm thinking on getting a light setup for bream fishing. would be pairing with a shimano stradic 2500 ci4+... Thanks man!

    • @BCSGFishing

      Hey man! The bp is a very decent rod, though depending on your local tackle shop stocking, there may be better rods in that price range. Locally in Singapore we have other rods like the Storm Trickster, Storm Adventure and Storm Discovery available. Plus other offerings from rapala that have become fiercely popular and in my opinion, possibly lighter and with better components than the majorcraft bp at the same price point.

    • @jonathancardoso7127
      @jonathancardoso7127 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the advice, really appreciate it! The rapala rods are a bit difficult to get around here, I would prob. have to check it online, but the Storm rods are quite popular, not sure if we have the Adventure and the Discovery but we do have the Trickster and I have heard really good things about it, so I'll def. check these out. Thanks man!

    • @BCSGFishing

      +Jonathan Cardoso. In today's world you can shop online. If you are new to computers you could enlist the help of younger people, maybe relatives. It doesn't matter if Bob's budget rods hasn't got it in stock, you can buy it elsewhere from anywhere in the world.

    I bought mine 2 weeks ago and after 2 days of use, the top section snapped off. So disappointed because I have yet to catch anything. I had such high hopes after watching this review. I could not believe it. Snapped like a twig at the 3rd to top guide.

      Are you local? If you are take it back to the shop or Grand Tackle on Carousell and tell them about it. Cheap or expensive, no rod should break like that. Mine has been fine for almost 2 years.

    Kuying is actually a Malaysia brand.

    • @wendyjones5036
      @wendyjones5036 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +stn0505 . The Kuying rods are made at the factory in China . Many are built on Japanese Toray carbon prepregs that the factory in China import. There is no doubt the rods are Chinese made but to a very high standard. The fact is the vast amount of OEM fishing rods from companies around the world are built in China. That includes Japanese rods aimed at entry level of around $125 . Maybe Malaysia supplies the thread used to whip the guides to the blank ?. Maybe you're getting the Chinese factory mixed up with "Kuynig" ???.... or "Kuyling". Is there a possibility an Opium induced flashback caused you to mistakenly believe the Kuying rods are Malaysian instead of Chinese made?. It's just a thought and might explain your confusion.
