    I Installed a cold air intake on a 2019 Dodge Charger GT 3.6L V6.
    Better sound and have some more HP's.
    Easy installation.
    GREAT upgrade. More feisty vehicle.

      I thought the MOPAR models only went up to 2018? Where'd you find one for 2019, or was it an aftermarket?

    Thank you for the in-depth information! I went with the Specter cold air intake from American Muscle for my’19 Challenger GT, which is compatible with the K&N. The only difference is the price after careful research. A muffler delete is being considered depending on how aggressive I want the car to sound. It’s great to take this “Brute Off Mute” finally!!! 👍🏾

    Nice. I put the mopar cai in my 2018 challenger GT about 18 months ago. Today I am doing the headlight intake tube. The mopar cai already has a square cut in it for the tube. It should let in even cooler air. Not bad for 50$ extra.

    I did a cold air intake combo on my Challenger GT
    I installed the hellcat airbox with the headlight knockout and duct, cut off a Spectre cold air intake duct and tied it into the factory airbox lid, completed with k&n filter. This setup works great, intake temp tends to be 4-5 degrees higher than outside air temperature at cruise, and 2 degrees higher under heavy acceleration. What kind of intake air temperature differentials are you getting?

  • @chargerforward128
    @chargerforward128 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Am still amazed that there's not a series of aftermarket companies that have chosen to get into crafting something other than the "Garbage Can Lid". It's easily one of the few things I really don't care for in our car. Your intake looks amazing here, dude.

  • @filetofishish

    Did you notice any increase in performance when you did the Mopar intake? We have a 2012 rally redline and it looks brand new still! About 45,000 mi on it, so not bad for a 12. Was thinking about a cold air intake and flowmaster super 10s. I wish the pentastar community would share more information and I wish there were more aftermarket vendors that would start doing some real high performance stuff for this killer little V6. Keep on rocking man!

    Hello there: I had the MOPAR 77070045AB CAI on my 2013 300s. I just bought a 2020 Challenger GT that has the same 3.6L. I wanted to buy the same CAI for it but everywhere I look it states that it doesn’t fit, only from 2011-19.This makes no sense to me. What is your model year? Thank you in advance.

    • @MOOREPAR
      @MOOREPAR  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did a little more research. It actually appears that they only MOPAR CAI people were able find for 2020 are for the HEMI’s. You can try calling your local dealer and ask them first if there is a MOPAR CAI that is Compatible with your Year/Make/Model. If so note which part number that the dealer would give you then find it cheaper online.

    • @lougodbar1379
      @lougodbar1379 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your reply. During my research on Mopar online, it appears that the company is phasing out the CAI with the aluminum tubing and will offer only the box and the blue dry filter for all models, part 68239826AA. Someone can correct me on that.
      Anyway, that’s the only one that fits on the 2020 3.6L Challenger on all the data bases that I searched. That means that you are stuck with the stock plastic tubing... yikes!!

      @MOOREPAR  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lou Godbar wow that’s not ideal in my opinion, defeats the purpose of what a CAI is intended for. Hope there is another work around. I do have a link to the Hellcat air box and K&N Air drop filter in my description if you rather go that route. Let me know if there anything I could do further to assist.

    This might sound like a stupid ass question...after awhile, do you just clean out the blue filter or have to order a replacement?

      Never a stupid question, you can clean it out with soapy water. I have done that and it definitely keeps it functional and clean

      I am getting a 2020 Challenger V6. Is the MOPAR cai pretty easy to install or should I just pay a shop to do it for me?
      I want my engine to sound nice/more aggressive while driving. Will this help?

      @@TrendingThisWeek555 It's easy to install, your engine will sound aggressive especially if you modify your exhaust ex. I have a mid muffler delete and with the CAI it sounds very aggressive.

    Isn’t a Cold air intake suppose to be sucking in cold air ? Not hot air? I was told to have it pointing towards the grill but I’m confused on doing that.

    • @MOOREPAR
      @MOOREPAR  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey bro, I have an inlet tube connected through my headlight. That setup is the heart and soul of this Mopar Cold Air Intake System. Without that inlet tube the CAI system isn’t functional. Yes, to answer your question the System is supposed to draw more air flow into the engine. Allowing the engine to be cooler and overall help with the performance. It also allows the car to sound better, much more aggressive! Even at low Rpm’s.
