to me the fact that it is literally one for one the exact same game again ruins things for me. if we make an analogy in DnD tabletop rpgs - vanilla wow is like curse of strahd, an adventure book that lays out all the factions and the goals of the campaign. so running the same adventure book again, just rolling another character isn't as fun the second time - ESPECIALLY if you're like me and a one-class andy and have already rolled paladin in both 2019 and in SoD.... so looking to roll another within a year of "finishing" my SoD character?? Yeah, I'm really not interested. the only thing is that my 2019 guild is talking about going at it but so far only about 10 people have said they're going for it.... but I would be doing it to hang out with them, not to play the game.
@@chainclaw07 i never actually fully finished vanilla as BC was released about 1 month after i dinged 60, i worked full time so could only play evenings and i was also married so wife wanted my time too... i did raid in BC. 2019 did most of classic but not all raids. 2024 and now my child is at the age to play with me.... so im looking forward to seeing him experience what i did 20 years ago :) but i can understand fro, your perspective having already completed it
One important thing that most wow players don't know is that Holly Longdale is relatively new to blizzard. She used to work for the producers of Everquest and they have been releasing progression servers long before wow classic. I think it'll be about every 3 years at least if they decide to keep repeating it. Personally I'd like one expansion a year and let servers keep going to catch up to retail but it seems like I'm in the minority
Locking my name for TBC then its back to enjoying SoD. Cant really go back to 1 viable spec per class, same old boring bis farming, same old same old. But hey happy for you all who are hyped
They should copy the servers with all characters on them, let one stay in classic and the other progress to tbc, then do the same for wrath. Also would love to see fresh 1-60/70/80 classic/tbc/wrath be rolled out with 1 year intervals.
I see a lot of channels talk about how fresh will rejuvenate PEOPLE (not the playerbase) to play Classic wow vanilla once again.... from my perspective as someone who played classic wow, left and came back in tbc and played semi weekly in wotlk and played SoD. imo there will be extreme diminishing returns. if there was only vanilla since 2020 then maybe a lot more people would be coming back. I believe only maybe 30% of those who started playing in 2019 will come back. I think it's safe to say those who joined it because of it being an internet phenomena was more than 40% of the playerbase. - they are not coming back this time. then there's players like me who played classic through wotlk and understood what we liked about vanilla - for me that was my solo journey to 60 and a choice few goals at 60, like forging quel serrar - the thing about those goals however - I obtained them twice in 4 years, in 2019 and in SoD. I don't play wow on a schedule - meaning I don't mesh with raiding, at all... my guild I had in classic and tbc disbanded in wotlk and we probably won't get together again although we have a discord(we're just not enough for a raiding guild). which means, my solo goals in classic have been saturated and sated twice and I have close to no interest in raiding content from 2004... I just dont understand how people who like vanilla still keep interest and I don't believe fresh to be a big enough driver to get those "vanilla only" players who have stopped playing to come back...
I'm not going to drop SoD to play classic right now and that sucks because I would like to play a fresh classic server. They really screwed up with this timing.
SOD is dead and will be even more dead after fresh release, I had best time in P1 and little in Phase 2 after that it just felt down. Its no more vanilla. Fresh Hype!
It would be cool if after wrath they took the story in a brand new direction than cata. Just do 3 level increments per expansion flush out more story that involves outlands northrend and Azeroth
If they did era after each expansion, would that reduce the hype/population for the release after the cycle restarts? Eventually everyone will be in their desired era with no need to go again and restart. Just a thought
I am so excited i cant stop preparing for this!!!! Is anyone gonna level in hardcore and switch over to a fresh if ur toon dies? I agree with the way they made the prog all at one time and making the build up of each era in a cycle. I mean im not a fan of the Vanilla play style but im gonna tough it out till TBC and WOTLK. I think others will too just level thru it, everyone has their preferences. One mega server should be enough in the long run. I also don’t think it will bring as many players as it did a few years ago it too recent but like others this is classic to me these three Era’s so im going home ❤. Also as far as GDKP’s there is always ways around that and the players will find alt ways and continue that trend even if trading outside of the game’or alt commodities.
I think it will be slightly less popular than 2019 (which was massive with covid and tons of hype lead up and more time to prepare), but also less bots with the GDKP ban which was the main incentive for gold buying. There is still a ton of hype though and I am very excited for it.
Blizzard doesn't realize their old games age like wine, they don't need to rerelease content and they are going about it wrong. Hardcore should have been a checkbox in normal classic, not a separate server. People where already playing it with the addon. Fragmenting players does no good. People would have eventually came back to play classic weather or not fresh happened, just like the hardcore trend. More fragmentation. Now they are going to run 4 versions of vanilla at once.. what are they thinking?? And it's going to eventually turn into 2 versions of progression. RIDICULOUS.
Yeah so many versions with different progressions and variations like hardcore and SoD and of course retail which always ends up just being a reskin of the previous one... Its just so lazy... And not just with WoW but also Warcraft 3 thats essentially rolls back the broken state it had since Reforged and now we are supposed to be happy we can play the old WC3 again? Jesus Christ... If they are so creatively bankrupt they cant even make a decent new game in the Warcraft universe just give up and let private servers just do their thing... Now they are just milking the milk...

i would play vanilla, tbc and wrath on repeat a few times
i like the idea of redoing classic every few years... classic is my preferred mmo

Three things i want added to classic servers that would keep me, more graveyards, more flight paths and add the achievement system.
They should copy the servers with all characters on them, let one stay in classic and the other progress to tbc, then do the same for wrath.

Some people just like Fresh, not much more to it.

They are going to release it over and over. They said so before Classic even came out.

What is with debuff limit removed for only hardcore fresh servers????
Pls let Blizzard answrr this questions
Do you think it’ll progress past MOP? There would be so little dev effort you would assume so, but they lost ALOT of users with WOD
I bet they stop at WOTLK
It’s hard to farm gold there ? For tokens
theres no tokens in classic.
@@mklizzar yet
@@mklizzar ohh and in wow cata classic ?
Re-fresh will not be as popular as 2019. Enjoy all the bots.
I think you are a bit slow.

if we dont get tbc and wotlk era realms we riot!!!!!!!!
Bot infested hellhole everytime

So many incels playing this game non-stop
You sound a little jealous
frash server again and again and again🤣
I love Classic, it was awesome back in 2005 and even in 2019. But at this point its kind of starting to get ridiculous.
actually it will change nothing, classic wow sucks
