Having a entire team for player housing sounds good but i`m afraid most or the coolest things about this will be locked behind a paywall in the in-game shop.
You mean all the things literally everyone with expendable income will have, thus making it a highly common thing in a subscription based mmorpg? Yeah, pass, blizzard can have their shill because they found whales that care about extra pixels in a game more than their own money. Player housing, in general, is a net benefit regardless of how blizzard monetizes it. Can't be anyworse than square enix and FFXIV where you pay monthly subscription rent for your digital property or it will be repossessed by the automated demolition system. Almost anything will be better than that.
I always keep and eye on big WoW creators and people who cover the game in general, usually thinking yes this will be it ill jump in ans start my WoW journey now. Then i'm left overwhelmed with how many versions and variants of the game, where to start how to start and it becomes a bit overwhelming.
I honestly don’t know how new players start now days loll. Just pick the most interesting looking wow and jump in and pick one goal within (especially if you pick retail, there’s just too much stuff to keep our 20 year wow veterans entertained)
You need to look into taking sponsorship money from Hello Fresh, they are under some heavy shit for being awful to their employees amongst other allegations
My cousin worked for a Hello Fresh warehouse/distribution centre. Approx. 300 employees, all on 'casual' contracts, so they don't receive benefits. They just shut down the entire warehouse, leaving the 300 workers unemployed. Zero redundancy payments, due to the 'casual' contracts.
I wish they would have not given up on the garrisons. That could have been converted over to player housing. Do quests to add portals for travel. Put hooks up in the houses for your favourite weapons, furnitures, etc.
Maybe you can make a video about the realistic things people can expect with player housing, considering the engine. The amount of expections people are having is insane right now lol. Personally I expect ESO or SWTOR style housing.
@@RockerBoy20045 i mean eso style housing is really good, aside from item limits, but they explained that's due to console players mostly and some due to people having potato pcs. I've seen a private server show off what the wow engine can do with housing. Free item placement (like eso) and ability to change wallpaper and flooring (ff14).
I'm gonna call it right now... Blizzard is gonna basically dig a new trench with their face when player housing comes out. fans have been neigh on BEGGING blizzard for player housing since the launch of WoW for YEARS, and the fact that they are just now getting to it 20 years later... they aren't going to have a proper system set up for it, its going to disappoint the fanbase, and there will be server issues with people trying to "buy a house" that they can decorate. its going to be Draenor Garrisons all over again, just with a lot less people in it. you can honestly color me pink if they manage to get it right, but it's a hope that's practically been dashed every time Blizzard utters the words "we listen to our fans"
Maybe even worse, it can never be what players wanted it to be in their immagination. I did some Housing in New World, I used it as storage. I personally do not get what it is all about. But I hope it will be everything people want it to be.
Ion answered the garrison question pretty directly on Taliesin's interview. They're fully aware of all the problems surrounding them and have no intention of repeating that again. He also made it clear that this will be a starting point which they'll continue to build upon into the future as an evergreen feature and it will not be tied to player power.
of course it will. also, will it be the begining of the end ? everyone in their private instance queuing for dungeons/bgs with no interaction ? as soon as there will be an AH easily accessible in your house, it might go this way
@@tronam Too bad the feature is 20 years late. They only putting it in because they're trying everything to keep their dead horse alive. There was an instance portal sealed in Stormwind for years from the 2002 alpha that was for PoH and they ditched the idea.

I am really hoping the housing is very similar to how it was in Dark Age of Camelot. I would prefer it to not be similar to Everquest where you had an apartment. Would love to have a housing zone where you can build actual houses that you could also decorate. Would be great if a guild could have a piece of property with a guild house then members could have houses around the guild house. Granted with as many players WoW has, this kind of set up would most likely not be feasible. I am still hoping though :).
The mountain dude thing wound up being a total bust. It was just some mountain dew employees who logged in to one server and the area was immediately sharded.
If player housing is instanced version for only you and maybe invited players, forget about the feature. It needs to be like in final fantasy where you have a whole village and you meat people.
9:50 Am i the only one that thinks this is not about the finger count, but about the "left" arm that just looks like it shoots out of the right shoulder?
What looks like a bicep is the line between his throwing hand and his manly pecs. I thought you could see his other shoulder between the tusks, but that's his long pointy chin. His left arm looks like it comes from nowhere because his upper arm his hidden by his torso. (Dunno either way about the other characters.) It's kinda funny that you'd usually spot AI art by it having too many fingers, but actually giving a troll the normal human amount isn't lore-accurate. 😆
I hope housing will be as good as it was in Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. BOOKSHELVES!! Let us put all those books and scrolls we come across onto our shelves, for later perusal! Maybe even buy pics to hang on walls -- or our own screenshots? Exact positioning would have to be saved only on player's PC I'd imagine.
Eh how the hell can anyone play WoW on a gamepad!? I use a Razer Naga and with an ALT modifier, I have 30 button mappings for spells through the Naga... and that doesn't even cover everything I have available as a Mage. With my Druid, there's zero chance of binding all the spells to 30 buttons, so how on earth do you make that work on a console?!
I play exclusively with a PS4 controller and have 2.6k io as a warrior tank, I can see how it's almost impossible for some classes like a shadow priest, but for a DH the buttons on a controller are more than enough, that said, I don't think wow is ready to be released on a console, if it will ever be.

Great to hear that Blizz have put a dedicated team on the Player Housing Project. What I don't understand is why the heck they don't discuss things they're considering and ask for community feedback BEFORE it's too late to fix it. Time after time they're all about hiding everything until a big hyped up reveal, at which point the community 9 times out of 10 hates it or tells Blizz how they could have improved it. Hell most of the time the big reveal never happens anyway cos it gets leaked or data mined. FFS get commuinity input AND BUY IN!! I hope you don't mind me asking why, I log in to play, do delves, quests, raids and dungeons. If I want to look at four walls I can log out and walk around my home. I don't get what the attraction is.
@nedabo69 I think unlocking customizations and role playing is fun. It's like building up a base. It helps the RPG portion of mmorpg. Every big mmo, but WoW, has housing for a reason. People just are drawn to different things. Personally, I don't know why you do delves or quests. Quests are generic and boring. Delves were fun while there were rewards, but once you are over 610 ilv, they are pointless. For being the expansion feature, they are uninspired versions of MoP scenarios with no variance. I mean, if you want to get really reductive, dungeons and raids are pointless too: once I got KSM and AOTC, what's the point of pushing on in either? A higher number on my gear that will become obsolete in the very next patch?
BEST comment on this vid, there are way to many buttons and abilities for each class, the game has gotten to a stupid level of difficulty with a disabled person not being able to play at even close to a high level, it's hard enough for able bodied people.
For any1 wondering: There is a 2007 FBI document which deals with symbols used by p peoople to express their preferences. One of those symbols looks very similar to the home stone icon used by Blizzard.
I can personally already tell i will likely decorate my house once and probably never set foot in it again. Bellular, I just can't stomach the long-winded ads where you talk about a product for 5-8 minutes anymore. Not only are we getting inundated with ads before, during, and after your videos (not your fault), you give us "15% of your video content" (on average) of a long-winded ad about some product we'll never use. There are just too many other "game content creators" that aren't selling their souls to these companies. I mean, I get it, you want this to be a career and pay for your comfortable retirement. But, put into perspective, your content is about, well, games...and the majority of your audience is nerdy, low-to-middle-income players (I include myself). Some of your "talking ads" even take up 20-25% of your video and they are getting longer! I'm specifically talking about the increase in talking ad time and the lowering of content time. It didn't used to be like that mate. So, thanks but no thanks. As for my "right's, "Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw rocks". My "rights" discussion was only directed at those who attempt to cancel me (or others) in a hypocritical manner as if THEY are the expert and everyone should only listen to them. It's an unwise position to take in a discussion as it only results in a finger painting by a child. We all have the choice to ADD nothing of value or add something meaningful. Of course I encourage the latter but won't silently endure those who do nothing but spew hypocritical blather; I will defend my argument and character whether they like it or not. THAT is the only reason why I brought up "rights".

That triangle swirl was seriously upsetting me, im glad it's changed. I can't even look at my hearthstone becasue it's so close.
3:45 Shame Blizzard don’t have a team dedicated to data integrity and can return all the stuff that went missing from peoples guild banks
Glutonia is suspected.
Having a entire team for player housing sounds good but i`m afraid most or the coolest things about this will be locked behind a paywall in the in-game shop.
Im hoping they add stuff for each type of content to work on
It will probably be more stuff to fill the trading post with.
it will, no doubt
Calling it now, we will have a mansion worth $120 in the in game shop come November 2026.
Like the food always being rotten? Because it arrived rotten multiple times.
Our biggest fear was how many people are on the housing team? You and I are not the same, Bel.
WC3:Reforged is cursed.
why i pirated 1.31... only way to play it without all the reforged updates...
I wish they would have not given up on the garrisons. That could have been converted over to player housing. Do quests to add portals for travel. Put hooks up in the houses for your favourite weapons, furnitures, etc.
A new ring with a new grind. I can't contain my excitement.
Maybe you can make a video about the realistic things people can expect with player housing, considering the engine. The amount of expections people are having is insane right now lol. Personally I expect ESO or SWTOR style housing.
Anything said about housing features right now is 100% a guess so just use your imagination and save them the trouble of guessing for you
@@RockerBoy20045 i mean eso style housing is really good, aside from item limits, but they explained that's due to console players mostly and some due to people having potato pcs.
@@shadydealzGod can we stop complaining like this? It’s a good move, especially if they implement it and then expand upon it. For once can we as a community stop showing our asses about new content coming in?
Will Branns level be reset going into s2?
I am really hoping the housing is very similar to how it was in Dark Age of Camelot. I would prefer it to not be similar to Everquest where you had an apartment. Would love to have a housing zone where you can build actual houses that you could also decorate. Would be great if a guild could have a piece of property with a guild house then members could have houses around the guild house. Granted with as many players WoW has, this kind of set up would most likely not be feasible. I am still hoping though :).
The mountain dude thing wound up being a total bust. It was just some mountain dew employees who logged in to one server and the area was immediately sharded.
One guy, one shard, one realm, one raid.

If player housing is instanced version for only you and maybe invited players, forget about the feature. It needs to be like in final fantasy where you have a whole village and you meat people.
Hey hey hey, you only get to "meat" people in your private rooms, not out in the village, ok?!
@ but i like to (m)eat people so much
From what I've seen a lot of people are cautiously optimistic about Avowed.
why does the icon look like the NAMBLA spiral triangle thing ?
Are we sure that bit about the FBI investigation is real? I looked it up and I can’t find anything.
anyone notice the northrend map behind the player house logo on the roadmap?
9:50 Am i the only one that thinks this is not about the finger count, but about the "left" arm that just looks like it shoots out of the right shoulder?
What looks like a bicep is the line between his throwing hand and his manly pecs. I thought you could see his other shoulder between the tusks, but that's his long pointy chin. His left arm looks like it comes from nowhere because his upper arm his hidden by his torso.
(Dunno either way about the other characters.)
It's kinda funny that you'd usually spot AI art by it having too many fingers, but actually giving a troll the normal human amount isn't lore-accurate. 😆
No, the proportions seem correct. As an artist at least, I can visualize his elbow being slightly drawn back to the hip.

So a team of people completely didn't understand the housing logo being used? Sounds like it's a full team making store MTX for housing.
Or they did understand what the symbol meant and thought no one else would notice.
Didn't they say before TWW was out that the NPC following you in Delves would change every season?
Eh how the hell can anyone play WoW on a gamepad!? I use a Razer Naga and with an ALT modifier, I have 30 button mappings for spells through the Naga... and that doesn't even cover everything I have available as a Mage. With my Druid, there's zero chance of binding all the spells to 30 buttons, so how on earth do you make that work on a console?!
Check out the addon ConsolePort or FFXIV controller gameplay. Pretty brilliant, it works extremely well.
It's easy....the people that play with the controllers are shit at the game or play no brain classes like ret pally.
They should just sell wireless xbox/ps branded keyboard mouse combos and be done with it.
Two words, one addon: ConsolePort.
Go play Final Fantasy 14 for a bit and come back and ask again, you'll see.
I play exclusively with a PS4 controller and have 2.6k io as a warrior tank, I can see how it's almost impossible for some classes like a shadow priest, but for a DH the buttons on a controller are more than enough, that said, I don't think wow is ready to be released on a console, if it will ever be.
I refunded Reforged at launch and still haven't bought it. I thought for a moment that they finally sorted it. How disappointing.
Crazy that they lied not once, but now twice, about the Reforged and now Re-Reforged.
@@razz5841 How did they lie a second time if the only changes that happened to it are what was shown during a live direct?
People making up expectations based on concept art mockups while ignoring the footage shown isn't the devs lying. Just saying.
so they were happy with m+? that article seem to be only about delves.
I wish they would have a set number of ppl only working on the things they have broken. It seems like every week there is a new issue. When I log in my bars are all over my screen and I have to fix it in edit mode before starting to play. I have an entire tab of "caged pets" that only say caged pet and show a cage icon. No idea what pet it is til I pull it out of the bank then once I put it back it is a caged pet again..... One of the Glory of Achiev in Sanctum is broken and has been for a bit. You put a bug report and they say nothing about it. If you do get a response and it isn't high on their list they blow you off. Like half the guild bank missing items... The game is going to crash and burn on their customer service. Not because they aren't releasing new things every week but because when something goes wrong they act like you are a jerk for wanting it fixed. Pantheon is lookin real nice right now. At least it is an actual "small indie company"
100% player housing will be as expencive as hell.. each room will probably cost a million gold min to do. everyting you do will cost a stupid amount of cold. all to sell tokans because they know people want it.
We only need to look at the cost of the warband bank tabs to know you are 100% on the money.
The fact they got a dedicated team working on player housing has me hopeful but I still have this bad feeling it's gonna be a box with little trophy slots and the like. I hope they're taking ques from FF14 and Wildstar's housing. Guess we'll be finding out in about a year!
9:50
It's not because the troll has too many fingers, it's that he has an extra arm coming out of his armpit.
"When something is broken, you fix it. When something is wrong, you make it right. And if things aren’t good enough, you make them better." - Except for all the guild banks we deleted, those players get to suffer because we're too busy to care.
This is for real. Are there any comments on this at all from Blizz?
They also said w3 is in a good shape that was just middlefinger in disguise
@@flavius6497they said they’re working on it but due to the huge amount of guild bank items that are now missing, players shouldn’t expect to get their items back. 😡

Oh ho hello fellow laughing man
@@leinonibishop9480 20 years of WoW hoarding, how is this acceptable?
Great to hear that Blizz have put a dedicated team on the Player Housing Project. What I don't understand is why the heck they don't discuss things they're considering and ask for community feedback BEFORE it's too late to fix it. Time after time they're all about hiding everything until a big hyped up reveal, at which point the community 9 times out of 10 hates it or tells Blizz how they could have improved it. Hell most of the time the big reveal never happens anyway cos it gets leaked or data mined.
FFS get commuinity input AND BUY IN!! If it's bad, we only have ourselves to blame, and if it's good, the community praises Blizz for getting our help to make the new feature awesome. But no, they keep doing Blizz things and releasing broken or sub par features that need to be fixed or just don't get used by players. LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES BLIZZ! lol
I’m just sitting here wishing they would add the option to use the modern day graphics and characters for wow classic. Would be awesome
I have a strong feeling dedicated housing is going to be the single largest gacha/micro transaction thing blizzard has ever done yet outside of diablo mobile.
one of the best housing features I came across was in DAOC (back in the day)
Player housing is exciting because no one can buy their own house IRL.

Naah probably not, i think it will come from log in and poof you got it without any effort to even play the game at all.

Love the idea of housing. I've been wanting it forever.
I hope you don't mind me asking why, I log in to play, do delves, quests, raids and dungeons. If I want to look at four walls I can log out and walk around my home. I don't get what the attraction is.
@nedabo69 Having a house full of trophies you could never get in real life. Such as Ony's head.
@@nedabo69erp
@nedabo69 honestly, same reason millions of people enjoy playing the sims. Plus role-playing.
i wish they would get rid of button bloat on classes if they did maybe ppl wouldnt use bots
Like in every other game, i get exited about housing but then it soon becomes this afterthought that i lose all interest in it and becomes this storage space where i just throw all my junk in it and forget about it ever existed
And that’s fine. Some
People just don’t have any ambition or desire for it. It’s okay that you are that way.
I hope the cars have a passenger spot like a 2 seater...
They have an entire team behind the videos, they need to put food on the table. If you don't like the adds just skip it.
You saw this with the idea he's the only worker and not a team of atleast 5+ people who all work on this for a living. Guess i'll stop accepting the thousands of dollars for him!" Get real
@@luizamor2043 ROFL! You're guessing. Are you on the team? Nope. Are you privy to the financial statements regarding what he spends and what he pockets? Nope. Luiza, you didn't read my comment or you just didn't comprehend it. I said, "Talking ads", the ads that he talks about the product, service, or game and says, here buy this. My point is, although I can fast forward it, the amount of time he's spending on the content is shrinking and the time spent on the ad is increasing; quality is suffering...if you've been following him for any length of time you would have noticed. There was a time when he didn't talk through ads and the quality was higher. So you're solution, although flippant, doesn't even address my point.
