Honestly Batman Arkham Asylum is kinda a horror game, Parts of The game gave me the creeps or just straight up is nightmare fuel. The Killer croc mission comes to mind along with the Scarecrow sections
Honestly we just need another game like Arkham origins online: A multiplayer game where most of the players represent the henchman while Batman and Robin hunt them down. Pretty much a live version of a predator room from the Arkham games. Not only would this be terrifying for the players on the villain team, but this would be the ultimate test of your skill for those playing as Batman since you’re not going up against clever yet predictable AI anymore; you’re going up against players who have probably played as Batman before and know the strategies to look out for
No one would be afraid of Robin. People would be afraid of getting caught, but not of coming face to face with Robin. The predator needs to either be Batman, Scarecrow, Killer Croc, Red Hood, the Joker or any other really fear-inducing character. Robin is the light that keeps Batman from drowning in the darkness. Robin is not supposed to be scary.
You would need some fair weapon balances and meta restrictions. Would suck if 4 players camped in a long corridor with no other way for Batman to engage but straight.
@@ColdSpaceMann Just make the henchman side do the timed objective to win, so they have to move around the map and can't just camped and wait for Batman or the time run out and after they're done with all of objective they must rush out to the exit before the time run out or Batman take them all out and as long as one of them escape the henchman wins thought with less score because not all of them escaped.
Professor Pyg would be terrifying in a horror game, same with Scarecrow, Hush, Clayface, Jim Gordon Jr., Manbat, I’d even argue you could make Mad Hatter absolutely terrifying if you tried (that one could be played as Batgirl to up the fear factor since Hatter goes after young women primarily)
They should make it a game where you have to play as a regular person and the prisoners all escaped from Arkham and you have to try to find a way out the city with occasionally seeing Batman flying over head or taking out a boss but again your just a person sneaking through the streets filled with Batman’s worst enemies just trying to live and escape and depending on how you do it Batman may come for you too
I think it would work better as a horror film. Perhaps even start as a heist movie taking place in gotham and batman takes put the gang out 1 by 1 once he is alerted to their presence in quick hit and run attacks and they don't often see his full form, and it's filmed like he is a cryptid.
I don't think it'd work cause there'd be no stakes due to no one dying in them, unless you're adapting Gods and Monsters Batman, then that would be one exception that could fit
everyone who played arkham origins multiplayer where henchmen fight each other while batman and robin stop them knows that being locked in a room with batman is pure horror. unless some wiseass starts teabagging and gets riddled with bullets
They can make a resident evil style game with arkham asylum where you play as a normal guard or cop. You go through the entirety of that game just as the cop or guard facing all the villains and lunatics.
Now that I realize, they made the same fucking mistake twice. TWICE. In Asylum with the Joker final boss, and now with Batman on the game which I will not name.

A superhero survival horror game would be really intriguing
A game fully based on a serious house on serious earth would be amazing
