Given that the Joker isn't actually insane at all but rather is just evil and cruel, Deadpool might be able to make him actually insane.
EDIT: It seems I have to explain what I mean, so I'm just gonna do that. When I say that the Joker isn't insane, I mean that he doesn't meet the legal definition of it. Like, if he tried an insanity defense in court, it wouldn't stick. Because the Joker isn't unable to tell the difference between right and wrong, nor does he fail to comprehend the nature and consequences of the things he does. He knows that the things he does are wrong. He just doesn't care because he gets off on being evil and doing bad things.

@Ability-King-KK What I mean by "not insane" is that he doesn't really fit the legal definition of insanity, ie he's not unable to tell the difference between right and wrong and doesn't fail to comprehend the nature what he's doing. He knows that the things he does are wrong. He just gets off on doing bad things. It's also why it makes no sense that they keep sticking him in an asylum rather than an actual prison.

Joker and deadpool are practically the same type of insanity but on different scales. Both see the world a stage but while one wants everyone else to laugh, the other just doesn’t care
Deadpool’s healing factor has caused him to be practically immune to consequences, turning his life into a slapstick comedy where he’s the always the joke.
Joker on the other hand has completely snapped and sees life itself as that joke, wanting to show everyone that anyone can become like him if they had one bad day.
Deadpools greatest foil against joker is that deadpool has so many bad days that he has lost count. Deadpool’s insanity also grants him some level of understanding, like how he was able to predict Carnage’s actions
The main asset that Deadpool has is the fact that he constantly breaks the 4th wall and KNOWS that he is just fiction unlike Joker who thinks he is "real." Thats why Deadpool is over his marbles cuz he knows for a fact that whatever he does wont really matter.
I think using that motivation for Joker a good marvel foil would be Spider-Man. Every day is a bad day for Spider-Man and he's still the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man

I would absolutely love this crossover. I love seeing characters roast the fuck out of joker. Dude has such thin skin, and absolutely looses it the moment people aren't scared of him/worship him.
Also, I think joker would be jealous. They're both very similar, both had a 'bad day', but deadpool came out the other side comparatively much better. Joker is a miserable, almost suicidal man who wants to drag others down with him. But Deadpool is much happier, and has people who care about him, an actual life worth living.

I would say joker has a clear goal but never set plans on how to get there so he is chaotic. Deadpool has no goals or plans. He just go with whatever he feels like at the moment not knowing what’s next.
. I'm rather fond of a theory that The Joker is actually super humanely sain. He's aware of the fouth wall, even if he doesn't do much to manipulate it, and is a hero in his own mind for giving Batman someone interesting to fight, perpetuating their book and keeping their bit of the universe existing.
As a result, the moment he sees Deadpool break the forth wall, one of two things is going to happen. Either he packs it all up when he finds out no one else is showing up and this fight doesn't help his goal. Or they spend the fight trying to help each other with their coriography.
That's actually a pretty good idea for a comic series.

Before I even watch the video (but I will!) I'm guessing the main reason is because Deadpool will laugh AT the Joker, and if there's one thing he can't stand, it's being the butt of the joke.
Not only will Deadpool "Get the joke" when Joker is doing it, he'll decide that the joke applies to EVERYONE and even Joker can be on the receiving end.
Joker also knows that he's a comic book character so Deadpool messing with him would only annoy him, honestly.
What would drive him "insane" would be the thought that a writer decided to f*ck with him by pairing him with Deadpool.
Joker doesn't blatantly break the 4th wall but he knows it's there, that's why he says that he's the only "sane" one. That's why he thinks everything, their struggles, their pain and so on are all a "joke", hence "The Joker".

I can imagine a Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker situation happening, Deadpool laughs at him and Joker goes ballistic to which Deadpool responds with "What a matter J? I thought you always wanted to make people laugh? I mean that's what you always wanted to do right? HA HA HA!"
They really should do a Batman VS Wolverine comic with this as the B plot. Like it makes sooo much sense and its basically the only Popular Batman/Marvel Crossover that never happened. Shenanigans happen that send Wolvie and DP to Gotham. Wolverine ends up fighting some goons which draws Bats attention. (because Wolvie is probably murdering them in public.) And the second DP realises where they are, Beelines to go fight the Joker, to do the one thing no super hero has ever been able to do, Put down the Joker. Bats and Wolvie fight until Oracles pings Bats about Dp and Joker fighting, Superhero team up. Amazing crossover. Could even add the Bat and Wolvie kids too if you wanted as they all have pretty solid pairs (well mostly X23 with either Nightwing or Redhood, and Gabby with Damian. Daken could go with Red Hood, but that feels less matchy to me.)
The reason Deadpool would be a torture for the Joker is simple. Joker pretends to be nuts, Deadpool is by this point nuts.
Joker is a clown hogging a imaginary spotlight and his biggest weakest is a heckler, and you damn well know Deadpool is gonna heckle the hell out of him.
Basically, Deadpool is almost hand crafted to counter someone like the Joker simply on the base he is a unkillable Heckler who is willing to stabd the Joker. Ad the worst part for the Joker is for Deadpool It will just be another paycheck.

Not only that, but Joker would be terrified of Deadpool, kinda like how he was scared of the Punisher. If Joker learns about Deadpool's feat in pushing Carnage towards his breaking point, it'll frighten Joker all the more.
My favorite part of this hypothetical is that I imagine the Joker at some point trying to befriend Deadpool like he does early in his career with other villains but back firing cause he'd basically be all the things he hates about his friends every fallout the Joker has had with other villains (I'm talking accidental ones, not straight up betrayal during a plan) is something Deadpool would do and arguably on purpose
because all of the characters in joker's universe are serious and he is the insane one so meeting someone who can out-insane him will rattle his brain. Try to act insane in front of someone who is crazy and they'll think you're the weird one.
There is one thing the Joker hates when people actually laugh at his jokes because he likes to force the laugh out of them.

It a good way to view them though, given that the point of the Yin Yang symbol is to say that light will always create some darkness, as such dark conceptually doesn't exist without light.
Deadpool acts mostly for the good of others but carries his bitterness on his sleeve with bouts of violence and wanton destruction.
Joker wants nothing more than to prove anyone can be just as messed up as he is, but when there's no heroes to knock down from their pedestals, he will actually step in to help the little guy if he happens upon them.
Put them together and their similarities become more apparent, as well as their moral differences.

i kind of agree. there is one sticking point tho, Joker DOES have a few people he could target. Like Hydra bob, Or his kid, Captian America, Spiderman, Agent Preston, Negasonic teenage warhead, The simboit dog Princess. Joker hates when other people make annoying jokes; he hates when people survive his traps, and he hates when people aren't scared of him.
Deadpool hates when people go after his loved ones or make him reflect on his past.
Deadpool maintains his distance more than most comic characters but he has PLENTY of friends and family he really cares for deeply Joker would definitely exploit.

The Joker was driven to fear by some guy with a fake bomb and a grudge. An immortal like Deadpool/Wade Wilson would drive him bananas, since nothing he can do to the guy would stick.
This is increadibly long winded for something so obvious, the Joker would target anyone Deadpool has even been friendly with, and Deadpool in return, wouldn't toy with the Joker, he'd just **cking kill him.

If you saw Kyle Hill and/or The Imaginary Axis' analysis of Joker, you wouldn't see Joker and Insane as synonyms. If you've seen The Imaginary Axis', you would expect Joker and Deadpool to actually probably atleast like eachother. Joker and Gwenpool, even more so.
Deadpool would call The Joker a fraud for paying his taxes, no real insane super villain would pay taxes.

Canonically, The Joker isn't even insane. He's "Super Sane". It's basically a term made up by the comics to explain why he's constantly changing his personality and threat level. Basically, his sanity fluctuates so that no matter who he's surrounded by, his sanity constantly adjusts to make him the most dangerous person in every situation.
It's also been hinted at that The Joker (like Wade) knows he's a comic book character. He just doesn't like to acknowledge it.
This essentially already happened when Joker met The Creeper.

I still love the theory that reason joker is how he is, changes his backstory constantly and always keeps going; because he knows he is in a comic/cartoon and knows if he stops they stop existing because story will be boring.

Hypothetical question in relation to your last Deadpool video. Who would hate Deadpool more, Joker or homelander?
People have been able to torture and mentally get to Deadpool in Marvel comics. Particularly when he had his daughter Ellie in his life but also in general there has been more than a few times where Deadpool was made to turn on those he cares about in his life (he never "turned" on his daughter unless you count killing people she liked and then getting trapped making her think she was abandoned, but he has been made to turn on those he considered good friends like Cable). He doesn't really take this in his usual good humor when this happens (such as his Secret War tie in or when Stryfe mad Deadpool follow a kill list). Because despite your video saying otherwise Deadpool has had people he cared about, even if they don't stick in his life for very long.
The thing that may truly drive Joker insane is that every time he sees an opportunity to get to Deadpool life seems to beat Joker to the punch.

I think some of this is a bit of a stretch, like how you handwaved Joker not being able to get around Deadpool's regen. With that said, as a major DC fan... Ya, you're probably right. Deadpool would most likely ruin Joker (assuming Joker didn't have plot armor on at the time).
A few people from marvel that I can imagine not being broke by the joker are Peter Parker Spider-Man since it seems like every day is a bad day for him, The Punisher since again he has nothing to lose and doesn't give a sh1t, and Deadpool because he would just find jokers attempts to kill him hilarious and annoy him.

@@fairystail1 I disagree. Despite certain writers writting him like that, Joker is not an idiot. He knows not every superhero is like Batman who doesn't kill and would think of how to deal with each one. He didn't become the biggest crime boss in Gotham for nothing.
I'm now curious as to how the Joker would react to Deadpool's fourthwall breaks. Especially if Wade is permitted to do _just enough_ that the Joker starts to wonder if he's right. How would realizing he may perpetually have an audience (us) affect someone like the Joker?

Deadpool is deathly afraid of clowns and cows... that's one point against him. Also, he does have a significant person he cares for... his daughter. At one point knowing this is a weakness he erased his own memory so she couldn't be used against him for her own safety.
so what you are saying is we need Deadpool vs Batcow
