      I'm just going off the wiki so correct me if I'm wrong but the wiki says Sammy (who is obviously actually a stand in for Charlotte) was kidnapped in a Fredbear's. Would this not suggest Charlie in the games died outside a Fredbear's?

      @@birdmcturd1626oh damn, its that outdated? mb
      its later revealed in the books that sammy is alive. charlie was actually killed by william. henry did some robotics and created a robot that would look like Charlie, act like Charlie, and basically just be Charlie. something something remnant, Henry does this for a while creating robots of Charlie at different stages of her life (child preteen teen and adult) to make up for how Charlie won't be able to physically age because yk robot.
      however in Charlie's mind, it was Sammy who was taken by William. because Henrys wife left him when he tried to bring Charlie back because he became so obsessed with it that he fotgoy all about his surviving son. And when she left she took Sammy.

    9:48 I also always assumed that not only was purple william’s color, but purple was meant to communicate he was in shadow and thus unrecognizable/hidden. Lots of times shadow is illustrated in media with purple because if you colored everything black you wouldn’t be able to see what was happening, like water being colored blue instead of clear.

    • @spotsnspans5217
      @spotsnspans5217 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      That's actually the reason he was purple to begin with. Having a black silhouette man in Atari graphics doesn't really work, so shadows are given a purple color in that style. I like this idea of thinking that when he's no covered in shadow, and is seen by other people, he's actually yellow.

    • @cookiescure7160
      @cookiescure7160 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I 100% agree with this and always thought this because of an art class I took in High School. In that class, we had an assignment where we could only use 2 complementary colors to differentiate between light and dark. And the 2 complementary colors we were given to use were yellow and purple, where you could only use yellow for the brighter parts of the image, and purple for the darker parts. So it just made sense in Midnight Motorist for William to be yellow/orange here, because he was no longer in shadows, so he'd be a different color.

      This is exactly the problem with the FNAF lore. Not that this is inherently true, but the fact that it's extremely likely that there is no plan and new ideas are being piled on that contradict or mislead older evidence. The fact that there is little to no solid foundation makes literally everything about this series conjecture. I get that the infinite speculation of the lore is what keeps this series going, but in a vacuum it's disrespectful to the story and the people giving an honest effort trying to make it make sense.

    Edit: Something else I came up with, why is the first half of the game all purple? Why not blue, green, yellow, heck white! Its purple. Why is mustard man yellow? Same reason why he was purple in the games, to contrast with other colors. Specifically the car.

Not- not for you, you’re, you're dead. But that’s neither here nor there. It reminds me of one summer day in the park, I was having just a delightful picnic with my good friend Orville. And I said to him, I said, “Orville, I-I have a story,” And he said to me, “What’s the significance of the story?” I said to him “Orville, not every story has to have significance, ya know? Sometimes uhh, you know, sometimes a story is just a story. You try to read into every little thing and find meaning in everything anyone says, you’ll just drive yourself crazy. Had a friend do it once - wasn’t pretty - we talked about it for years. And-and not only that, but, you’ll likely end up believin' something you shouldn’t believe or thinkin' something you shouldn’t think o-o-or assumin' something you shouldn’t assume, ya know? "Sometimes," I said, "a-a-a story is- is just a story, so just be quiet for one second of your life and eat your sandwich, okay?" Of course, it was only then I realized I made sandwiches and, poor Orville was having such difficulty eating it! Elephants have those clumsy hands, ya know? A-Actually, I-I suppose that’s the problem; they don’t have hands at all, do they? They've, they’re all feet! A-an I-I couldn’t imagine someone asking me to eat a sandwich with my feet. Now, if I recall correctly there was a bakery nearby. I- I said to him “Orville, l-let me go get you some rye bread.” Now, I-I’m unsure if elephants enjoy rye bread, but I assure you that Orville does. Now this was on a Tuesday which was good because rye bread was always fresh on Tuesday. They made sourdough on Monday and threw it out Wednesday. O-or rather they sold it at a discount for people wantin' to feed the ducks and then, probably at the end of the day finally they threw it all out, I-I don't recall. I do remember a man who would being his son to the bakery every Wednesday, and-and go feed the ducks. He would buy all of the sourdough bread. Of course, you know, you’re not supposed to feed the ducks sourdough bread at all. It swells up in their stomach and then they all die. At, ah, at least, at least that’s what I’ve heard. Ya know, I never saw any ducks die myself, but I did notice a substantial decrease in duck population over the course of a few years. I just never thought to stop the man and tell him he was killing the ducks by feeding them sourdough bread! And if you want my opinion on the matter, heh, and I told Orville this as well: if you wanna feed ducks or birds or any kind for that matter, especially buy seed. I mean, when you think about it, breads of any sort don’t occur in nature. They don’t grow on trees or spring up from the bushes! I don’t think birds know what to do with bread. What was I saying? Oh, oh yes yes. So I bought Orville some rye bread. What a fine day it was.”

Things being misinterpreted in the eyes of a child. The animatronics are just terrifying to look at. And seeing people put in the suits and “transform” could be scary to a young child. I was terrified of the Chucky Cheese animatronics. They brought me to tears at my birthday party. So this makes sense still.

    I think it also makes sense from a business perspective to have Freddy's farther away from where Fredbear's was. First of all Fazbear isn't like McDonalds where it's practically everywhere so having two similar locations from the same company close together is weird. And second of all, cuz Fredbears closes and something happened there, it would make more sense to move the new location to at least a different city. It's a new market that, especially in the 80's before the internet existed, might have a better impression of the company than locals. While it being still fairly close is convenient for William because he can drive there, and because if previous loyal customers want to go and spend their money at the new location, it's not too far.

    Your points are really interesting and the parallels with the movie make me think that maybe Scott is leaning into re-contextualizing the minigame for future games/story similar to how he did with the original Give Cake minigame. Though I still think the original intention of the Midnight Motorist minigame was for it to match the other two minigames and be a glimpse at the murder of an important victim. Charlie in the puppet minigame, Suzie with Fruity Maze, and Cassidy for Midnight Motorist.

    • @67alora
      @67alora ปีที่แล้ว +10

      I agree. Never considered Cassidy as the victim before in MM (what makes you think so?), but I've always believed MM was intended to show another of Afton's victims; we see this kid is in a vulnerable, potentially abusive situation at home, and has been lured away by Spring Bonnie--because there's no easier prey than a vulnerable child who isn't likely to be missed. To pretty much echo what you said, Charlie and Suzie are the focus of their minigames, with William appearing at the end, so why would MM be focusing on William instead of his victim (with the footprints at the *end* of the minigame referencing William, a parallel to the other minigames)?

    • @Momo_Minomo
      @Momo_Minomo ปีที่แล้ว +13

      @@67alora Mostly I think it's Cassidy for two reasons.
      1 Cassidy is the only other murder victim besides Suzie and Charlie that is given specific attention in multiple games. The literal next game that came out was ALL ABOUT Cassidy. UCN also contained voice lines from both Suzie/Chica and Charlie/Puppet. It makes sense that the only other victim with voice lines in UCN also had their murder shown in the minigames of FNAF 6.
      2. It would go a long way towards explaining Cassidy's rage when the other victims aren't like that. The other victims had happy home lives. The animatronic footprints in MM don't appear by the window, just at the tree line. The glass is also on the outside. It insinuates that the child broke their own window and ran TO the animatronic. That and the phrase "later that night" could mean that the child was expecting their murderer after they met earlier that day. The Yellow figure says that the kid keeps going somewhere they feel safe, probably Freddy's since we know that location is linked to all the murders.
      Cassidy could have confessed to being abused to "Spring Bonnie", someone they trusted, and Afton promised to show up and save them that night. Cassidy trusting an adult after being so hurt by them only to be betrayed and murdered would definitely be cause for the anger and violence we see. It would also explain Cassidy's insistence to Crying Child not to trust or forgive Mike in the logbook since they have experience that if a family member hurts you once they'll do it again.

      Everytime I've heard this theory, I always have to wonder: what about Gabriel, Jeremy, and Fritz? Aren't they important as kids of the MCI? Why don't they get mini games fleshing out the backstories like Cassidy, Charlie, and Susie?

    • @Momo_Minomo
      @Momo_Minomo ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Takejiro24 There are somewhere around 7-14 child victims because of William Afton. That's a lot of kids and the games have always focused on the Aftons, themselves, rather than on the victims. So Scott has been selective in what stories he's told of those victims depending on how connected they are to the Aftons.
      We know how CC and Elizabeth died because they were also Aftons. We know Charlie's death because she started the hauntings plus her dad was Afton's partner, and we know about Cassidy because they're tied in with Michael and CC while hunting Afton. Suzie was the first victim he killed as Spring Bonnie. The others don't have strong ties to the Aftons so aren't narratively important unfortunately.

I don’t have a strong opinion about if it is Michael or not but that reasoning for it not being him really annoys me. Your cats are adorable and I'm grateful that they're a part of your content, planned or otherwise. Best of luck with your ongoing housing situation! Now for the video: Everyone is making MM theories and every single one gives me something new to chew on! I've always thought that the house part of the minigame was Mrs. Afton trying to hold off a post Bite of 83 William from further abusing a regretful and terrified Michael especially because he's the only child left for William to focus his rage on but I never really thought about the full backstory of the idea. I just went with what made the most sense to me. I also never heard of the MCI awful family, Pied Piper SpringBonnie theory and while I don't agree with it, I respect it. Also, I'm glad you gave lore context for William's change in color because I thought it was design choices for practicality and to chuck a grenade to explode on Theorists for the sake of chaos but I dig the public mask/true identity idea, especially since Yellow Guy is still a POS like Purple Guy just in a different way. I also like how you added JR's into William's sick and vengeful way of thinking when he murdered my poor baby Charlie. Jealousy over Henry being more savvy with robotics and having a better home life was already enough but blaming him for the Bite of 83 with Michael AND having him be angry about the restaurant being shut down, sold for pennies, and turned into a dive bar is Chef's kiss brilliant. I know you mentioned ID but another Theorist named Brussel took a crack at this about 4 months ago and it was awesome. Also, the one hour length timeline video he made is hilarious and very plausible.

    Yes!! I think that’s it right there. I wasn’t huge on ID’s explanation ( love her content too btw) but I definitely thought it missed on certain topics that were mentioned in your video. The golden Freddy part instantly came to mind when I watched the movie. It screamed MNM to me. Logistically it made sense for the crying child to be the first death. That sets everything in motion and gives motive to William Afton. If JR’s is a shut down fred bears I think it makes even more sense that William wouldn’t be allowed in. He lost that place. It isn’t his anymore and maybe he caused a scene or something and they definitely won’t allow him in now. Making Michael pay perfectly ties in to fnaf 4 and the experiments.

    Good call on the movie parallelling Midnight Motorist. Carl's Midnight Motorist shirt might have been there as a subtle nudge from Scott the Movie could be used to solve the minigame. After watching ID's vid earlier, the truth lies somewhere between this and her theory. I think this because the movie and the short story "You're the Band" both involve children being lured from their home to a Freddy's location which is the case in Midnight Motorist. I think you are right that it was Golden Freddy luring Micheal most likely because of the movie backing up this as an idea. I do like ID's theory too though so I'm keeping my mind open.

    Edit: also I know the purple-yellow sprite coloration for 🅱️illiam is mostly symbolic, but purple is both an awesome color and actually a reccomended color for business suits in the 80s (source, some popular 80s mens fashion magazine), so I love the idea of Will pulling a Saul Goodman and sometimes wearing a purple suit jacket and dress pants with a harvest gold/deep yellow button-up shirt underneath. Personally when I depict him I actually go a step further and give him grey pants, purple hat and jacket (specifically that fedora from the FNaF6 Andy Field narrated animations, cuz I'm like 90% sure that's a representation of Mr. Afton), and the yellow shirt with a dark necktie.

William being purple could easily just be a representation of the clothes he wears whenever he’s inside of a Freddy’s location, whether as a child murderer or an employee at Fredbear’s. The Saul Goodman thing is also a good parallel to draw too, which makes sense with the whole Purple Guy/Spring Bonnie persona.

    Great Video! As a huge supported of Mike running away, I love seeing takes on MM and ways to look at it.
    One of my favorite addtions to Mike running away is a complete counter to the "CC can't be an unmarked grave" arugement, which is instead of literally being his body, it's the Box From FNaF 4's ending being buried, since it was supposed to be left forgotten "forever" according to Scott. With the theory that it's the Crying Child's mask he was supposed to wear on his birthday (presumably a fredbear mask), that would make it a painful reminder of what happened to him that day, and what he was robbed of, something buried to be forgotten. It'd be unmarked, it's a location William and Mike would know about, it's a place Mike would want to run off to.
    Honestly though the point I've been stuck on the most personally is the animatronic/mascot footprint set. I think this video's explanation works perfectly well but nothing seems definitive enough for me, I hope some day this can be cracked.
    Once again, love the video!

    Interesting theory though I personally still believe the “victim family theory” for a few reasons.
    1. The other two lore heavy mini-games focus on two of Aftons victims, Charlie and Susie. It would be kinda odd to step away from that in the 3rd minigame
    2. The “Afton isn’t always purple” would be valid…if he didn’t show up in the back room in FNaF 4. In one of the FNaF 4 minigames you can see him in the back putting a suit onto someone and he’s depicted as purple. Granted It’s not entirely clear if this is an employee or a victim but it does not seem likely that Afton would be dealing with a victim in broad daylight

  • @BonusDuckie

    Good theory Rye.
    About Jrs, the 'bouncer' could very well be a security guard in the pizzeria. Maybe we should stop looking at it as always a bouncer, altho it is pretty logical.
    It's pretty interesting that give them cake minigame has what I can assume a springlock fredbear.
    Reason being we see a real event happening when Charlie dies.
    Now my questioning is if Puppet has ever shared a pizzeria with a springlock Freddy. Off the top of my head I can only think of the Bite Victim. He gets chomped by a Golden Fredbear who we know could also be turn into a Suit.
    Could it be that the location when charlie died is also the same pizzeria we see at fnaf4?
    also, i think purple guy is purple because he is always seen from an very bright area to a dark area. So we always see him as a shadow, unlike here that hes directly out in the open

  • @laotasurfs1110
    @laotasurfs1110 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Imma talk about purple:
    I think Willaim Afton being depicted was a purple sprite is done to -- in an 8-bit pixelated children's-type video game -- convey a figure in the shadows in a way that actually stands out from the background (like Darkwing Duck!). They made him literally purple later, but before that it's just figurative.
    So if Yellow Guy is Willaim Afton, too, it really could just be the face he shows the world, and the killer is what he does in the shadows.

    I have been pondering a theory of my own ever since I saw the FNAF movie. Now, I'll admit right here, it has a lot of holes in it. But I think it's an interesting thought.
    Basically, I have an idea for if Henry actually has TWO children in the games. Possible twins. I believe that Henry's second child could be none other than Cassidy, the Vengeful Spirit.
    Here is why I think this and let's start with where I started thinking about it to begin with: In the FNAF movie, the family structure between the Aftons and the 'Emily's' are reversed. Instead of Henry having just 1 child, it's Afton who has just one child in Vanessa and Michael's family consists of a younger brother and sister and a father and a deceased mother. I also find it interesting how the Golden Kid and Vanessa both share the blonde hair trope and look about the same age in the picture that we see of Vanessa with Spring Bonnie and we know that this photo was taken around the time of Afton's murders since he has killed Garrett already as evident by the fact that Vanessa is holding his toy plane. I could even propose an idea for why William would end up murdering his own son and that's simply because he would probably be getting too close to the other children and, if he has even a sneaking suspicion that his father killed another kid (Garrett), then the Golden Kid is essentially a loose end and so is taken care of. This would also explain why Vanessa is so afraid of Afton, not just because he is a murderer, but because she knows that he is willing to kill one of his own kids if it means preserving his secrets. Which, funnily enough, he does almost end up doing towards the end of the movie.
    But we know that he continues to live as Golden Freddy and Afton probably knew that would happen too since, if Garrett is revealed to be The Puppet, he would know very early on that possession is possible and therefore Afton would know that his son can continue to live without revealing who the Man Behind the Slaughter is. This could also explain why Afton kills the other kids too since they might also end up knowing something Afton doesn't want them to know (but it could also just be the fact that he felt like murdering people that day). The Golden Kid might even be the reason that all the animatronics listen to Afton in the first place if they see Golden Freddy seeing the Yellow Rabbit as a good guy or a parental figure which would only make sense if the Golden Kid had the 'Yellow Rabbit' as a father at one point. It could even explain why he seems to be the most sadistic of the bunch (since, let's be honest, the Golden Kid acts pretty damn creepy whenever he shows himself and has some kind of twisted side to him) and why he's the one that lures Abby back to make her one of them. He is both following the practices of his father (unaware of it, of course) and making a new friend! It could also explain why Afton, now springlocked, reaches out to the Golden Kid specifically at the end of the movie as if he knows him and the Golden Kid doesn't really seem to know what to think of his father now since he now knows what he did. One of the only holes I see in this is that Vanessa and the Golden Kid might not be full twins since their eye colour doesn't match, but that could easily be explained away by maybe a year or so age difference.
    Furthermore, it's said in the Silver Eyes Trilogy of books that Henry had 2 kids being Charlie and Sammy. NOW, hear me out on this, I KNOW that Sammy was proven to be fake and not real in the story. But I think the IMPLICATION of Henry POSSIBLY having 2 kids is actually pretty interesting.
    As for where this fits story-wise, if Cassidy is the brother/sister to Charlie (the Puppet), it would make all the more sense for them to be 'The One You Should Not Have Killed.' If Charlie was the first to be murdered, then Cassidy would be around to mourn her loss. It also makes sense from the story of Afton where he kills both of Henry's kids and he loses two of his own kids. "Symmetry, my friend!" And, if Henry knows who might have done it, that would mean that Cassidy would have someone to hate. It could also explain why Cassidy is so much more mysterious and ghostly than the rest, because they have an awareness about them where they know who their killer is. Or perhaps... Afton did all that he could to make sure that they could do as little as possible when they inevitably came back as a possessed robot. Like the Puppet, they are probably much more aware than the other core four. So, Afton killed their sister, ruined their father's life, killed THEM and they might be sharing a suit with the son of the man responsible for their murder. Yeah. Wouldn't you be a little bit pissed too? Wouldn't you be a little VENGEFUL? Maybe someone who isn't as willing to move on since Cassidy might see this as something a little more personal? Henry's other child. The one Afton should NOT have killed.
    But, like I said, this is just a theory. No, it doesn't line up perfectly. I can admit that. But I still think that it's an interesting idea. What do you think?

    I like the idea of perhaps Michael hearing the voice of his little brother coming out of an animatronic and it telling him that he needs to return to where it all started, but I don't buy that Michael returns to JR's. I do think Afton probably tries to get a drink at JR's on his way back, though. And I think it's very likely Michael runs back to Fredbears near their house, where (correct me if I'm wrong) crying child got hurt/killed. I just don't think it works that JR's is the old Fredbears place, even though it looks a lot like the art in the book. I think it'd be hard for a place to be a haunted pizzeria and also a nighttime bar at the same time.

    My belief in runaway Michael has been strengthened, thank you lol. I couldn't find a reason on why the grave would be unmarked if it's the Crying Child but your explanation fits cleanly!
    Another reason why I don't think CC is the runaway is because personality wise, they just don't match? I don't see CC breaking a window. You could say the shadow animatronic is the one who broke it, I guess. I also don't think Michael would dare to speak that way to his aggressive drunken dad if he was couch person, and I definitely don't think William, in that state, would allow Michael to speak to him that way. I feel like he would switch his target from CC to Michael in that case, but he didn't. Couch person seems to be someone that is equal to William, so them being an adult rather than teen Michael makes more sense. I also just don't see William being aggressive to CC in the first place since he seems so "caring" to him when he speaks through the Fredbear plush. Of course, like you've said, I don't think the runaway CC theory isn't valid. This is just my opinion and what I think.
    That being said, if CC died first, what do you think CC saw? ("Remember what you saw?") People theorize it being Elizabeth's death but her dying first just does not make sense to me.

    Yellow and Purple are opposite on the colour wheel so outside of afton's perspective he's purple, and purple is commonly associated with evil and shadows, especially in 16-bit mini games, but he genuinely believes he's a good guy, and yellows are associated with good deeds and happiness, (yellow being commonly used in gods about their good deeds) so while everyone else sees him as a bad or evil person he sees himself as a purely good person simply doing what he had to do.

I mean, Michael bullied the crap outta CC as a kid, it'd be weird to be defending him suddenly and look so different. Also the point that the left side of the road is the intended side to drive on, and William is bri'ish. First of all... its JR's, not Jr's. Juniors shortened is Jr. Either way, likely a bar.
    In my opinion, later that night implies the night William got spring trapped.(it was raining that night) He survived it, (like in the novels) instead of sitting in a boarded up room. He is yellow because he is still in the suit. This is also alot like 'into the pit', where the kid sees the rabbit suit, but everyone else sees the normal guy. Granted, then, JR's could be like Jeff's pizza or something.
    Technically, this could have been the same night as Henry's daughter dieing... which could have had runaway see the puppet possession. Buuut, in the minigame, JRs and the mound of dirt are the only things in walking distance... you'd think the kid went to the nearest building for help.
    The person in the chair...
    Saying this is Mrs Afton, is making up a character. (I want the wives of William and Henry to be more talked about) I think it's Mike, and he talks to CC on the fredbear walkie talkie, when William isn't there.
    GF? Um, if the thing that killed me is outside my window... I would do the opposite of going outside the window... lol. I don't have a clue what was outside the window. I also doubt the kid jumped out the window.

    I always thought it was weird when people talk about Midnight Motorist potentially being William Afton they don't talk about the fact that it's not _that_ crazy for him to be yellow/orange, cause it's the same color as the Spring Bonnie suit. If you're playing as Afton himself, he doesn't see himself as a purple shadowy figure, he sees himself as the rabbit, the disguise. It's an equally identifiable color for him, really, since we see him as Springtrap in the games more than we see him as the purple guy, and in the graphic novels we never see him as a purple guy at all, but we see a lot of him in the suit. (The only guy who is literally Purple is Michael.)
    Of all the things that make that minigame confusing, the change in color was the least bothersome to me. Scott doesn't like making things easy, so making him purple would be too obvious, on top of the other reasons you mentioned like visibility on a black background.
    It's more weird to me that the person watching TV is in a completely different style and has a red face and grey body and that everything else is so vague that we can only guess and speculate not only on the meaning of the entire minigame but _every single aspect_ of it independently of each other. Like what is Jr's, what is the dirt mound, who is the green guy, later WHAT night, who left the foot print outside the window, what is "that place". Literally everything is as vague as possible.

    Wow. I did watch ID's Fantasy's video first, even if I didn't agree on everything, it did have good explanation for their pov of what happens in the minigame. And now that I saw yours I do have a similar take on the story and you complete some part of the puzzle that were missing. I'm at least 90% on board with your version of the story. Especially how you depicted the descent into madness of William and how he may appear on the outside while hiding his true colour.

    I don't know if Raglan's colors are intended to go any deeper than matching Spring Bonnie's color scheme. Yellow with purple tie.
    Which is interesting because both Spring Bonnie and Fredbear use this color scheme. It kind of seems like an odd decision. Fredbear's purple eventually darkens to black and Spring Bonnie seems to lose the purple tie at some point.

    Crying Child / Bite Victim = Dread Bear
    I really think you're onto something here. The movie probably draws parallels on purpose to try to help inform us with more cookie crumbs to solve the mystery. I also agree that Crying Child was probably experimented on; all of the medical equipment in FNAF4 implies someone "lingered" and did not simply flatline at the hospital. You do not prescribe pills in pill bottles to someone in a coma; you prescribe pills to people who are able to be awake enough to swallow them without choking; if there is a choking hazard then you would give them the same medication but through their IV or an injection. The flowers are also something people bring into a hospital room as someone stays there overtime; you do not get brought in and are immediately given flowers; someone you know brings them in or has them sent to your hospital room via a delivery service. It would also make sense with the original 1987 bite description; remember how phoneguy emphasized the idea of someone LOSING part of their brain, yet, surprisingly "you can live without it".
    One dark theory that I have is that if someone has a terminal diagnosis, meaning they are eventually going to die and the hospital cannot do anything more to help them, they are often discharged from the hospital to die at home. This would explain the pill bottles in FNAF4, even the IV and the flowers; hospice will manage end of life care in people's homes and that can sometimes include an IV line. Also it backs up the pill bottles; if you take pills in the hospital, you don't get them all at once in a bottle; if you are prescribed something outside of being in a hospital, you are given them in a bottle by the pharmacy filling the order.
    Now, if Crying Child was taken home and experimented one ("I will put you back together") ... Consider the Curse of Dreadbear minigame centered specifically on Dreadbear; who is a totally new character concept we've never seen before, but has ties back to other games. Dreadbear's dedicated minigame is about "a lining the brainwaves" of a literal human brain with the animatronic before placing the brain into the animatronic. I'd like to propose the following; what if Crying Child was still alive (lingering in bed) when Afton killed Charlie out of anger? What if he saw what happened to the puppet and turned around and tried to "put him back together"? What if Dreadbear's mini game is a re-telling (a theme of help wanted) of something that really happened? Maybe Dreadbear's existence is to mask which animatronic it would have been... Only it's thinly veiled; Dreadbear... Fredbear... Greeny-yellow... Golden. Dreadbear is shown walking into the lake, referencing FNAF World and UCN. In that same menu is the house in the distance, the purple car parked nearby. Maybe the heap off the side of the road is all of the failed experiment; maybe Dreadbear sinking into the lake/pond is symbolic of it being buried? Maybe that's why Golden Freddie is a projection; it is physically buried in that heap and so through sheer will, anger, it projects itself into/ to the one place it remembers... Or towards/at those whom it remembers.

    I have one problem with the FNAF 4 nightmare chamber house: its parallels to midnight moderist.Notice how the outside of the house looks just like the house of the FNAF 4 title screen. It is alone, small, and out in the woods. This is backed up by the fact that you can hear crickets and nature noises while playing in the FNaF 4 house. It feels like Scott is trying to connect this, but it is hard to tell. LUV YOUR VIDS BTW!!!!!!!!!

    On pg. 157 of The Silver Eyes novel, Charlie reminisces about visiting Fredbear's and realizes that "the long desk by the entrance that her parents had used for a cash register had probably been a bar." If there was already a bar inside Fredbear's when it was open, that combined with the physical description and graphic novel appearance matching Jr's makes me think it would be easy to convert the whole location into a bar after it shut down. If that's the case, the bouncer not letting former employees in might refer to William working at Fredbear's before it closed.

    One very interesting interpretation of midnight motorist that I've seen is by Gibi's Good Bad Idea (he made a video about it but I'll summarize here). Basically since in the main minigame of midnight motorist people are driving on the left side of the road it could mean that the minigame takes place in the UK and that yellow guy is William's father with the child that ran away being William before he immigrated to America.

    • @SC-ec8xe
      @SC-ec8xe ปีที่แล้ว

      ....that is a STRETCH. Plus what would be the point of that? Whats it trying to accomplish? Say its true: Ok, so william had an abusive father and his mother did nothing and he ran away...now what? That doesn't excuse his murdering and torturing. And what would be the point of the mound in this scenario? It just seems like theres a lot of details in MM that can't be explained if you try to view if from that lens of "this is williams dad etc...". It makes no sense. Rye is probably the closest here: The mound is crying child (or the bunker entrance I supppose, Or now that Im thinking about it maybe its Emily's grave and CC was dead already- or vice versa lol It really just depends on how you tink the timeline goes), william is yellow guy (hes only purple when hes "in the shadows" and doing dark things. Yellow is the exact opposite on the color wheel from purple AND this is the only time we are playing as William and yellow is how he sees himself (hence the yellow bunny/spring bonnie costume hes so infatuated with). The rain pattern being the same as when charlotte is killed outside by. william (which we see a couple of times). Also william having a purple car (which is shown in a few mini-games as well).
      The 3 toed feet marks I do think probably is a representation of golden freddy manifesting and trying to reach out to mike. Or it could be william put up something akin to a scarecrow to stop whoever from running away. I guess my point is: As you can see it is possible to view MM from different angels and perspectives which change the explanations for a lot of the details. If you think thats williams dad then ALL of those details (the mound, the foot prints, the greyshirt tv watcher, JRs, the purple car) ALL mean nothing.

Under that assumption Henry showing the vengeful spirit William's childhood does make sense because Henry wants everyone's spirits to rest.

I don’t think these two resemble each other in any way. In FNAF4 they’re connected by a pavement whereas the MM version is a drivable road. In MM the road gets narrower and in FNAF4 it doesn’t. He's also purple in FNAF 4 when he's putting a suit on a presumed employee. Notably, he's *not* wearing his iconic smile in this instance. Just pointing that out.
    I don't remember seeing anyone tie Fredbear's from the Silver Eyes trilogy to JR's in Midnight Motorist before. That's definitely interesting and worth looking into.
    The main thing that has always bugged me about comparing the FNAF 4 minigame map and the Midnight Motorist map is that one is set in a sunny, vibrant, populated neighborhood and the other is set in a rainy, dreary, isolated forested area, respectively. If JR's is/was Fredbear's.....then how much time passed between FNAF 4 and MM maps for the whole surrounding area to change so drastically?
    Dittophobia pretty much confirmed to me that the FNAF 4 nightmares were had by Michael. It and the movie also lead me to believe that Elizabeth was either not born yet or really young (either as a baby or toddler) by the time of The Bite of '83.
    Oh, yeah, I agree. As *soon* as I saw Golden Freddy at Abby's house with the barely parenting Aunt Jane (she does go to check on Abby but doesn't do more than try to talk to her through the door before returning to watch TV much like how Couch Person doesn't do more than tell William to "leave him alone tonight"), I *immediately* linked that to Midnight Motorist, too. Really weird that GF was the only one of the animatronics to appear outside the restaurant. Is it just that he's the only one able to while the others are trapped at the restaurant?
    Welp, another stellar theory! This one is going in my Midnight Motorist playlist. I think it'll be #40 as of this writing. Gosh, this minigame lives rent free in my head. 🫠

      For Elizabeth to be unborn or that young during the bite of 83 would be strange since FNAF 2 (assuming you play as Michael with an alias on bonus night) implies with the pink slip that he was fired due to odor and tampering, which if that is not throwaway, means he might have been dead and reanimated by 1987, meaning that gives 4 years for sister location to happen. Might be more likely that Elizabeth died before the crying child was born. Also, Dittophobia implies that Mike was the player in 4 but the Movie's explanation of dreams and spirit communication suggests that potentially for the Log Book, Mike drew Nightmare Fredbear because he saw him in FNAF 1 by being revealed by Golden Freddy similar to the movie, meaning it could have been CC in 4. Still unsure what to think abt it tbh

Henry would see these signs especially Since it implies they're close chums. Afton would need a motive and...karma doesn't exist in this game. An animatronic wouldn't bite a head for karma or anything . An accident that had no clear cause other than accident to a random murder? Makes little connection in that order. Also why would Afton even get the idea? He'd needs to be angry and drunk or just angry. If not he'd open the door for her if he was just ok. Also no one not drunk kills someone that close to witnesses. He would have lurer charlie to kill if he knew what he was doing fully. All killers have a motive. And The bite and bar is a perfect one, projection of blame turned rage on a friends kid makes sense as it happens in real life sometimes. It's cool to assume. But if Charlie was killer before fredbear the place would have possibly closed do to discovery of a body.

Either way, William kidnaps him, maybe doing what toy Chica said in ucn “I’ll drag him into the trunk of my car”, and when Andrew wakes up he is in the room where the nightmare experiments take place. I think this because nedbear says “This is how it feels, and you get to experience it over, and over and over again” this may be because William needs to survive against animatronics going after him for 6 hours, just like what happens in the nightmare experiments.

    Based on what you stated in this theory and your previous theory about the MCI and how the spirits work, I wonder if Midnight Motorist is about Michael visiting the Crying Child's grave and possibly even leading Golden Freddy (which contains Crying Child's spirit) to his body that night. In the MCI theory, you tried to reconcile why the spirits would continue to linger in the animatronics, but I see two possible options. Either they stay around as long as William is a threat as Charlie does, or as in the books and movie, they see William as a friend for a while until Charlie shows them the truth. I can't say for sure, but Give Gifts, Give Life may actually be happening much later in the timeline, with Charlie being the one to show them what happened to them in a similar way to how she does in the books with the drawings, with Abby paralleling that in the movie. This could explain them being antagonistic in most games before Custom Night when they are only antagonistic towards William. Also, on a slightly unrelated note, could it be that William at some point repents of his crimes and sends Michael to the Sister Location to save his sister, at this point being on the side of saving the children's souls? I remember the interview with one of the writers for Security Breach where they said that good horror villains are born out of tragedy and while, yes, we seem to get that from William with the death of his children, could they also have been referring to their current story with the Mimic? Maybe William towards the end of his...second or third life...have tried to make things right, and now the Mimic has taken his place as the child murderer from learned behaviour? This would add to the tragedy of William's character as even as he tries to do good, there is still a force acting in his stead committing the same atrocities he once had.
