Glad I found your video! All the negative comments had me leary of this product. After seeing you refinish your porch I know now those other folks probably did not prepare there surface like you did. Thank you because the porch and walk way will be done soon. Great vid!!!
I don't know. I have read many bad reviews of this product and some say they followed exact instructions. I had also read that it doesn't cover well on some areas, much less than what it says it does and you will need a lot a more product than with paint and it is already a pretty expensive product. I love the look but I am not that confident in the performance and the yielding.
The finished product looks great! You mentioned power washing the porch. Power washing used hot water whereas pressure washing uses non/heated water. Everyone uses the terms interchangeably but as a professional pressure washer, it always stands out to me. Professionally speaking, don’t pressure wash the organic growth from your porch, just mop it away with a 50/50 solution of bleach and water along with a squirt of Dawn dish soap then rinse with a garden hose. Thank you for the video! I’ll have to get some of that paint.
Thank you! Thank you! I just finished painting my house using Behr exterior paints. My next project is the sidewalk, and here you are!!! Thank you! : )
Yes it does. This porch was in bad shape before I used the granite grip make sure you do it when it will be dry for a couple of days Thanks for watching

Great job. My concrete looks like yours did, stains everywhere. Currently I'm sitting around waiting for the first coat to try. Even with the first coat and blotches everywhere it looks much better than grey concrete full of stains. Thanks for your video and I hope your surgery went well and you are fully recovered.
Thank you so much I am feeling much better. It is scary after the first coat. But the end product looks so much better. Hope yours turns out great. Tnx for watching
Wow your front porch looks great!! Our patio needs something because every time it rains my patio furniture gets really dirty. I’m not sure what to do. Our patio is 14x20 and at $50 gallon that is really expensive
Looks good, I think I’m going to try this product. I have some pavers I made (Quikcrete Walkmaker) on a steep downhill section of my backyard that are kinda slippery.
I’m not sure but here is the link to the company. They have an area where you can ask questions and they are very quick to respond www.behr.com/consumer/products/floor-coatings-sealers-and-prep/driveway-garage-floor-coatings/granite-grip/behr-premium-granite-grip
Awesome product and job. Will be doing my front porch using this product. Did you sand off the original paint on the porch first. My porch peels in about 3-4 years using regular porch paint. Will try this and see if it lasts longer. Did you roll or brush the first application when you originally painted your porch.
I rolled the first time after power washing it and allowing a couple days to dry. I didn’t have anything to sand of but I’m sure it would be recommended. You could reach out to Behr and I’m sure they will tell you the best course to take

So did you put a 3rd coat on the whole porch or just the area you were working on? How long for drying between the 2nd & 3rd coat? Looks great by the way. Are you suppose to power wash the surface first before the 1st coat?
I did power wash before the first coat and let it dry for 2 days. The can calls for 24 hours between coats I did not put a third coat on the whole porch as I hoped that it would blend in over time..... you can still tell where I stopped painting (I don’t think anyone but me notices tho) Make sure you have a couple dry days of no rain after you paint so it has a chance to dry very well Tnx for watching
Excellent video. I plan to use this on my driveway. I do have a question for you. The color seems lighter than what's shown on the picture on the can. On my monitor, the dried product looks somewhere between a light gray and beige. like a light taupe. If you look at the can at 7:08 the picture shows a much darker tan. When you're sitting on the finished porch at 9:19, it looks much lighter than the color printed on the can. Maybe it's my old eyes.
It’s pretty close to the can color. Although I think my touch up was a little lighter then when I put it on the first time. I would recommend that you check with the paint company and go over the size of the area you want to paint. It takes a couple coats and it’s pretty expensive. It would be beautiful tho

May I ask what is already on your patio before the Granite Grip?
Just wondering, did you etch the concrete prior to applying granite grip product the first time?
No I did not. Just power washed it and let dry for a couple day
With this much effort for patching, I would have rolled a complete coat on the top porch level.
I did that to the step but it didn’t adhere so well maybe if I would have sanded it first to rough it up
