Flying solo and needing to take notes, manage projects, admin tasks and schedule my time in a leadership role I’ve found Amplenote to be amazing. Jot each day, move to Notes (and backlink notes) to track projects, add tasks and schedule tasks against my work and personal calendars without clashing the actual calendars themselves.
Agreed. Amplenote is pretty amazing and has basically everything. The Dev team seem to go about quietly improving the App every quarter. Rarely has bugs. Rock solid. Can work offline. @Francesco, can you do a fresh/updated review on Amplenote? Possibly the most underrated Notes App on the market.
Forever notes walk through. I’m already so integrated into Apple notes with years worth of data that it is hard to fully switch to other apps and almost feels like a distraction at this point that quotient website add on that creates websites with Apple notes sounds extremely useful as well.
Forever notes is very cool. I am not using the exact framework but took elements of it and added it to my own personal framework in Apple Notes. I used Obsidian for a couple of years but it was just too much and didn't work well enough on my iPad and iPhone to justify the hassle with slow syncing and other glitches. Apple Notes for me works so much better and it has definitely improved with iOS 18.1 (I am on the beta). The Ai features are very, very nice.
Forever Notes is OMG the best framework ever. This honestly works easier with other apps(Notion, Craft) but it made me love Apple Notes more. I’m not a fully Native Apple App person lol
@@GeniusUnleashed I would even take Apple giving us a "Make Link" option where we can highlight text of a note, make it into a link, which when clicked then takes us to a newly created note with the Highlighted text as its title.
Forever notes seems very interesting. Before you do a full video, you went so fast in this video. Perhaps if you have not already done so a full video expanding on the points in this video. Cheers Vancouver Island Canada
Waiting for your review on Forever Notes. I'm also playing with it but stuck with my massive numbers of project-related notes. Tags looks chaotic and hubs look too heavy-maintenance for me.
I don't use Apple devices, so I didn't know there was an option for tables and things like that, Samsung notes don't even have geometric features available on tablets
Forever * Notes is a great system, but I can't recommend it without sharing the major caveat: it takes a lot of setup, especially if you implement the journal, which IMO is where is shines. Each daily note has 5 links, and each monthly note has 35 links. That's over 2200 links, which Apple are refusing to let us setup automatically, sigh. If you go easy on yourself and set up the links a day at a time, once it's done the system is amazing!
Stay away! Or Keep everything in backup.. with this new update all my notes with the apple notes app were permanently DELETED! And i had important staff in there! I didn't made any backup i would never thought this would happen... Apple support said there is nothing they can do!
Um... No thanks. iCloud syncing once messed up my notes so bad, I wouldn't trust it for large amounts of data. Also, it's a close ecosystem with no ability to export the structures you propose to build there.
Yes.. Please do a review of Forever * Notes Love your reviews.

There are bi-directional links in Apple Notes? Is this in a beta version or something?

Forever note and pro notes please! Thanks
Please do a review of Forever * Notes
Great video, though I haven't found any bidirectional links. Only one directional.
They don't auto-populate, you have to manually create both directions, which is a real chore.

@@notonthat Logseq is for you my friend. Best note taking app.

Greetings from Poland:)
Hi Tomas.
Waiting for your review on Forever Notes. I'm also playing with it but stuck with my massive numbers of project-related notes. Tags looks chaotic and hubs look too heavy-maintenance for me.
Coming this week
Thanks
Yes ! Make the video please ! 🎉
yes forever notes!

I use apple notes for most things and coda to create shareable websites for notes. I don’t see why more people don’t use apple notes as a primary.
Apple Intelligence may pull me away from Goodnotes. Though Goodnotes now has AI. AI Comparison video?

The issue I see with pro notes is now I am exposing all of my notes to a 3rd party. Security hole.
No, because you cannot share a note with an non Apple user. That’s why I use Upnote, better, cheaper, quicker and simpler than Evernote
I just export it as a pdf but I get what you mean. In my situations pdf is fine for Android users
