Still my favorite glute workout - I keep coming back to it. You describe the movements so precicely its easy to follow even without looking at the screen. Thank you for sharing this ❤
I’m a guy, & I’ve exercised through this video several times: I’ve never not laughed at “drop into goddess pose” 😆 That being said, great workout and instruction. Thanks!
Your voice is honestly perfect for this! Please keep posting content, it was super easy for me to not look at the screen but still do the yoga, you explained the positions and the muscles you were targeting for each pose perfectly ❤
Hi, Amanda!! As a years long yoga practitioner, it was an honor to take a class taught by a professional ballerina. I know the hard work and discipline that goes into being a real ballerina, and think that it really brings something special to yoga. And you demonstrate a thorough understanding of yoga, which is so important. I was able to trust you immediately in my first class with you, knowing your deep understanding of the body through your years of dance training, and loved watching you execute the poses so beautifully. It was an added bonus to be able to observe a ballerina's sculpted muscles moving throughout the practice, and you do have beautiful legs. Thank you so much, and I look forward to many more classes with you. Warm regards, Anastacia
@@Pointe2yoga I am so glad to hear that, Amanda! When I saw you had not made a video in two years, I was happy to see there are twenty-eight, and I also noticed how nicely your page was organized and flowed because of it. I plan to do all of them, and am particularly intrigued by How to Get Your Splits, as that is something I have never been able to do. I also like the way your videos are specific, with "Yoga for etc...." which makes it easy to find a practice which is right for the moment. I told my Master I had discovered you, and he said I should tell you I'm trying to improve my body for him as much as for me, so again, am grateful to have found your channel. If don't mind my saying, your channel page could use more emphasis on your ballet background, and the light green is not easy to read. I had an idea of putting an image of you from onstage in a ballet pose, which has a sense of a yoga pose about it, on the left of the page under 'ballet inspired workouts', and then another image of you to the right of that, almost morphing into the yoga pose from the ballet pose, say with the exact same hairstyle, and similar colours in your ballet costume and yoga outfit. This to clearly show that ballet and yoga are in some ways intertwined, with the concept of balance at their core. So maybe an en dehors pose next to tree pose. That's kind of vague, but the point to get across is that you are a professional ballerina now teaching yoga, because I can't think of a more appealing blending. Not only that, your way and style of teaching are really accessible; and your demeanor comes across so nicely. If this is a direction you wish to take, I think you could get a lot of subscribers, as I'm sure I'm not the only yoga practitioner who would love the idea of taking yoga from a ballerina! I took yoga for six years with the same teacher, and think resonating and connecting with a teacher are paramount. I now rely on online classes, and am so looking forward to taking more of yours! Wishing you the best.
this felt soooo good in my hips and glutes. i'm having knee and hip pain and need to strengthen my glutes- these exercises targeted exactly what i wanted to target. thank you!! subscribed :)
Awesome! As Always. Perfectly P a c e d, Easy to follow, I Great to repeat the video. The following week and really focus on adding intensity to each of the movements. The advantage of having a ballet dancer guy guiding your yoga. She is freaking awesome!
Wow I feel the burn here! I’m at an intermediate yoga level, I’ve been practicing for just over 1 year and I exercise with weights for my glutes regularly, this helped unlock some stiffness I didn’t even know I had.
This was so perfect!! I have piriformis syndrome and arthritis in my hips and this workout was enough balance between strengthening that area of my body, and not overdoing it to injure myself again. I have saved this to my yoga playlist to do over and over again. Thank you!!
Ms Amanda Happy New Year !!! I always return to this routine when I am short on time. I wish you could post more workout videos; I also tried other workout videos on your channel. They are so unique, and I love your instructions for proper alignment; thanks so much !!!!
@@storielynne19 next time in the lunge try grounding down in your heel that’s on the ground and make sure your front knee is tracking over your heel (not past your toes) Hope this helps!! 🩵
Dose anyone know how to engage this routine with 3 times legs and glutes day at the gym ? How many time can i do those exercises per week ? I need this to tone my body due cellulite buildup 😢😢 please help !
Hi there! Since this is a 20 min low impact workout, I would say you can do these exercises 4-5 times a week! Of course everybody is different, so you can see what works for you best (:
Hi there-- im a yoga teacher and thought i'd comment here in case it helps you. The half-moon plank variation is a challenging pose that requires strength, balance, and stability. It works many muscles in the body, including the core, arms, shoulders, glutes, and legs. When you perform the half-moon plank variation, your body is engaged in an isometric contraction, where the muscles are contracted and held in a static position for a prolonged period of time. This causes microscopic damage (a good kind) to the muscle fibers, which can result in soreness and discomfort. Soreness is a normal response to challenging physical activity and is a sign that your muscles are adapting and becoming stronger. It's important to listen to your body and avoid pushing yourself too hard, especially if you are new to the pose or have any underlying injuries or conditions. (disclaimer: im not a doctor and this isnt a medical opinion. im a yoga teacher and this is my opinion based on what ive see in my students)
Such a great balance of chill yoga and Pilates burn. Loved it!
