  • I must admit for all of us its been a tough couple of years and I feel that 2022 holds a fresh start for me and a new beginning. To celebrate that I wanted to created myself a new journal to record more joyful and inspiring memories from the coming year. In this video I create that journal, this is a two part series with Part 1 being launched on 29th December 2021 and Part 2 being launched on 30th December 2021 in time to welcome the new year.
    Part 2: • Creating my new 2022 j...
    I love my new journal and I hope you enjoy the process I've shared of how I achieved the build.

    Ceri, I am one of those people who love to hear the noise. Cutting, ripping, pasting, chopping. I laugh to myself when you say sorry for the noise. I do not think people mind that. You are great,and a wonderful teacher!

    Im just starting junk journaling. I appreciate how you explain multiple options for free or low cost supplies or processes instead of just buying things. Thanks so much!

    Appreciated how you joined the butterfly pages together & the tip of the cling wrap for the napkins. I got my first napkin the other day & was a bit nervous about using it, but now I won't be! I'm a new subscriber & it's lovely to have another guy to watch (I'm female btw 😘) as I feel men contribute uniqueness to the art world. 🥰❤️

    Newbie here!!!! I am very eager to see where you are going with this journal!!!!!! I have seen some of your work and admired it in the past!!!!! Here's a tip for you. You can use those plastic folders found in school supply to use instead of the plastic cling. Just cut the pages apart to use and they can be wiped off and reused!!!!!!

    Holy cupcakes Ceri! I love how you did this cover.....I never thought to decoupage directly to a cover like you've done. I also love how you "joined" the butterfly pages in the signatures. Brilliant that you've got a little journaling space. I've got me some dollar store books but they are not white...urg but I do have gesso so problem solved! I can't wait to give this a go. Thank YOU!

    I love this. I know I have a book from the Dollar Tree at home, can't remember why I bought it but now I believe I have the answer for it. I also have some tea I did not like that I saved the bags with a thought of tea dying some paper. I hope to get started this weekend on my cover :). Thank you as always for showing us all the creativity you have.

    Question about master boards: when you make them, do you cut up the master board and use them. Ie post cards, tags, 3 by 3 squares, or do you copy it, then use your copies or add to them? Thanks in advance for your input.

    • @CeriGriffiths
      @CeriGriffiths  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Karen, it’s a bit of both really if I create a master board for a certain journal I normally use cut it up but if it turns out to be a very special and unique master board then I with copy it, scan it or photograph it. I then use the copy and keep the original that way I have it physically and electronically.
      Hope that helps.

    Hi Ceri. I am just starting to try crafting. You have mentioned 'signatures' a few times. What do you mean by 'signatures'? Love the videos.

    • @CeriGriffiths
      @CeriGriffiths  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A signature is a bundle of pages within a journal or book. example, if I take 15 sheets of paper and fold them in half, place them one inside of another creating a bundle of pages with a spine this is a signature, depending on the journal or book there can be one or many signatures. I hope that helped.
