Trevor, you missed the point. CCC did us a favor by refusing a pre-arrangement with ED. The result, our issues are now well understood by the international community through various reports on how we handle elections. Please give credit where it’s due.

Great interview Trevor and Ibbo. A couple of points :
Trevor, to make out that the opposition and Zanu PF are both to blame for violence is misleading. Go back to the hundreds killed and brutalised by the State in previous elections. There is no comparison.
Ibbo, to suggest that Mnangagwa should head a transitional government sounds like madness. Have we learned nothing ?
Why is Nelson Chamisa not given real credit where it is due ? He has done incredibly against the odds . In my irrelevant opinion the actual vote and support showed that he reflects a massive connection with peoples hopes for change.
    Thank you gentlemen.
    Respectfully
    Larry Norton

It's a pitty SADC leaders are part of the self-serving cabal that leads Zim, hence their indifference to this. To add insult to injury Mnangagwa has now appointed his children to the cabinet.
We need a sea change of Leadership at SADC level (except in Zambia & Lesotho where this appears to have already taken place) for us to see the required response to this nonsense behavior. I pray that my country RSA is the next to experience such change in next year's elections.

I was also shocked by Trevor's assertion, with the way he campaigned countrywide and coming out the winner (though stolen) despite the obstacles. Then an old man says he is not happy with Chamisa, he smoked something I think. Among all the opposition candidates you just target Chamisa how about Madhuku, Mwanzora etc.

Thank you Trevor , and Ibo for clarifying issues that are causing us to retrogress instead of progression of all Zimbabweans, keep up the good work. the struggle for a better Zimbabwe continues . Our fathers, mothers, brothers, uncles, aunties, sisters died for our freedom inside and outside Zimbabwe. Many of these opportunists, who are the ruling elite never fought for our liberation, let the truth be told. The really liberators most of them are dead and only a few remain . These true liberators did not die for a few , but for the majority and to eliminate poverty. Enough is enough these opportunistic people must go , taneta vanhu vedu vatambura .

Legitimacy is key. The nonsense of yesteryear is fast becoming unpopular and you risk isolation as the world modernizes. If you choose dictatorship path better be benevolent one and development oriented like Singapore founding path. If you can’t then vacate. All people cry for in Zim is a government focused on progress in healthcare, education, water and electricity provision, infrastructure and not obsession with power retention. I’d guarantee that if they focused on real development nobody will be bothered about them ruling 1000 years.

@Prof Mandaza a very sharp mind even at 75. Many great ideas and insight. If only our leadership had these kind of minds as advisors and not the Mutsvangwas and Charambas.

@@samgidds people like Professor Mandaza give the President advice as official advisors only for him to start perceiving them as enemies, their advice is often taken in pieces therefore ineffective or they are sidelined.
