Study the material provided by the flight school or study the ATPL question database in order to pass the ATPL exams? What is the best way to prepare yourself for the ATPL exams? You will find the answer in this video. I have been in this situation myself and at that time I didn’t know how to study for my ATPL subjects, until I got slapped in the face and realized how the game had to be played. Don’t spend loads of time to reinvent the wheel, just watch this video or read a more detailed article on www.dutchpilotgirl.com and ace the ATPL exams!
! I understand that this situation might not be the same for every country. If you become a pilot in Europe this way of studying (in the 2 weeks before your ATPL exams of course) is an absolute must ! Remember that knowledge is super super super important and without knowledge you are less safe and it is less likely to get an airline job. Make sure you understand what the books /instructors have been teaching you during the previous 8 months of ground school and review all that material with the notes you have made. Focus on the ATPL Database just 2 weeks before the exams. There is simply too much information to study 14 books in 2 weeks.
You need: atplonline.co.uk/ - บันเทิง
The Tip is: Study the Database of the Test and not your book.
(For everyone like me, who think 12 minutes are too long to watch for a tip). Great video tho!
Thanks Kevin. All these videos are soo much yaping, without getting to the point. The point of this video seems to be that you need experience understanding the way the testing works. (Which is also my own experience. You need to study first, and then you start training the databases in order to get profficient)
And btw! I have also passed my ATPL exams. Not because of the study material, but DESPITE the study material. The theory books have soo many errors so you have to use a lot of time trying to figure out if you have missunderstood, and then you realize that it eas an error in the book. And after all this time, it must be over 3 decades, you'd think that Oxford would have fixed everithing that is wrong in their books. Bot nooooo, there are still major mistakes, like for example two positions switched so it is impossible to get the example question correct.
Not to mention the totally discraced Nordian series for helicopter ATPL. Poor language, total lack of pedagogics, extreme factual errors, major errors in the study questions so the answers are incorrect. And after 10 years with the EASA regulation, the books still use JAA as reference. And they are actually charging you fpr these books...
Generally, females like to talk 😂
@@tofesky What you say makes no sense. I have seen tons of male youtube fitness gurus who talk for almost 20 minutes about something you can explain in less than 5 minutes...
🤣🤣 you're Jesus Christ
You are 100% right in Aviation knowledge is one thing and passing exams is another.. ..
Very well explained. Thanks for the effort to make the video.
Totally agree! Make sure you know your stuff, you'll need it in the real world, but also make sure you can pass those tests, they're so tricky and mean!
TH-cam is the most strange place. Here you can also find how to handle pilot exams! fix your computer, learn a language, gravitational waves and any subject. It's all here.
Rawstarmusic u r right i pass my GCSEs watching videos on youtube
It’s not ways correct what you see on TH-cam I’ve come across few miss information it took me while to replace them. Study your book to get facts.
Yeah !
Not strange. Amazing!
Yes yes
Michelle... what I absolutely love about you is that you don't post videos to tell people what they want to hear. You're true to yourself and say exactly what you think... much admiration... 🌹
The "most correct" I hate thoes questions. It reminds me of college
she is so right, I am one of those guys she was talking about who tried to learn all the books and I did indeed learn the books inside out and I failed 3 exams massively . it is indeed good to learn the books but , you best smash the banks as much as possible.
honestly this is the best way to study and pass any exam for any career or subject
Very very good advice thank you. But like she says, knowledge of all the subjects is paramount!!!! This is just to get you through the exams. You explained this perfectly if people listen to you all the way through the video intensively
Great and valuable advice. Thank you, Michelle.
Thanks for that tip Captain 🙏🏾
In this moment, one of my problems is that, I was studying a lot with the books and my results were not as I expected, but in the moment that I started to study with database, the results change for better ❤
Very helpful video!!! I will start in september with ATPL. Thanks for your tips
It sounds like the questions asked in the exam are a little tricky. Which would explain why you do your study backwards. Excellent advice.
the best advice I've heard in a long time. 🤗
Thanks for the video and these valuable tips 🙏❤
Well said! I will follow this advice for my commercial and my ATPL.
Hello? I am a frequent follower of your videos and I think this is the best advise ever I have ever had. I am currently doing Flight dispatch which has almost the same things the pilots study. I have like eight months now to finish my course and can't be more happier for this.
Love ur channel!!! Absolutely informative
You always make my life easy !!!
Thank you so much !
Summary for men: study questions not the books
Mug up
Thanks
I came from Eindhoven with the Philips electronics degree, with that I did exactly more or less what you did and have an electrical engineering position in a great Co. and city. I'm with you on this one. Thank you.
It took like 5 minutes to get to the point, but I admire the honesty and I think it's good and truthful advice, given a thumbs up.
I love this girl! Thanks for being honest
Wow so much information in this 12 minutes. Thanks Dutch Pilot Girl
I did the 727 fex test and would have done the ATP written too but, 900hrs was too early. In my day flt engineer was the first stop, crazy for now! Never flew the line but loved what I got to do! You hit the jack pot time for airline flying!!! Enjoy your career, girl!! LOL!!
Awesome video and channel!
The AV8R's ikr
YOU ARE 100% RIGHT
I am an ATPL student I didn't pass any exam when studying from the books, but training from the database helped me a lot. Thank you so much
Which database did u use?
I’m following a French atpl program so I’m using Mermoz
That’s absolutely true! I can confirmed that everybody pass their atpl exams with the question banks. This is a fact.
Thanks alot, this method works for any tests, i'll come back in a few years to thank if i succeed
Thanks for an informative video. I'm about to embark on ATPL exams in 2019 and this has provided me with further useful knowledge before I start.
Paul Wright hey man me too
Hello paul so did you did it?
Great video,
I understand your study method. Right now I'm taking part-66 exams to become an avionic- technician, and the biggest exam has a 5000-page syllabus. All the examinations I have passed have I done by testing myself and not reading at all. It is completely impossible to remember every detail of 5000 pages.
OMG.. I loved your video, tips and so on.
Thank u very much.
I’m planning to start my pilot training course hopefully in 3 years. Now I’m gonna go through the books thoroughly once and set a goal to study the whole database over 100 times. Wish me luck
Geeth Kalupahana good luck 😉
100 Times good Luck :'D think 3 Times would be enough
I’m doing the ATPL exams rn
Trust me you won’t have time 😂😂😂
Thanks so much @DutchPilotGirl. I am just about to join Flight School on an Intergrated Course and this is very helpful information.
Don't use ATPLOnline, an old and outdated bank, AviationExam or ATPLGS or BGS is the way to go.
@Dutchpilotgirl I am about to start a flying school so your tips are really important, thank you!
Thanks for the video. Personally i studied in the books and questions database. There are a lot of tricky questions which need to be known by heart.
You are so lovely. You may talk about anything, I could watch for hours. Btw I had similar experience with the driving licence exam: it is almost impossible to pass if not practicing with actual tests.
*IT'S ALWAYS BEST TO FOLLOW THE ADVICE OF SOMEONE WHO IS EXPERIENCED IN THE WAYS THESE TESTS ARE STRUCTURED!!* *SHE'S RIGHT, TAKE HER ADVICE AND UNDERSTAND HER METHOD, I TOO WAS CAUGHT UP IN A MUCH DIFFERENT TEST, BUT IT TOO WAS TRICKY WHICH NO ONE TOLE ME WHAT OR HOW TO STUDY, WHICH I LATER FOUND OUT AND RETOOK THE TEST AND PASSED WITH FLYING COLORS, SO TAKE HER ADVICE!!* *GOOD LUCK!!* *AND ABOVE ALL, ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS KEEP IT FRESH IN YOUR HEAD, IT WILL COME UP AGAIN EITHER IN A QUESTION FORM OR IN AN APPLICATION YOU'LL NEED SOON OR LATER AND YOU'LL REMEMBER IT AND CAN APPLY IT!!* *THANK YOU PRETTY DUTCHPILOTGIRL GREAT INFORMATION!!*
I think it's a combo of knowing the content really well and using the banks. I find it useful having a printout of the EASA learning objectives and making sure I know the content before I sit my groundschool internal exams. By this point I try to have seen over 25% of the online question bank. After I have passed my school finals, I then really focus on the banks, trying to see every question and then re-testing ones I have got wrong. The question banks are really valuable as some of the EASA questions are not very clear in what they asking.
But I think it is important to know your stuff and see the question banks as a learning tool (of content not answers). Trust me there is nothing more dull and depressing than sitting in front of a question bank and just trying to learn the answers rather than understanding why the answers are correct. I tried my hardest to enjoy the content as much as I could (lets be honest, the info is probably helpful to have somewhere in the back of our piloting brains). In an ideal world, they would test us in a better way.
Thanks god I felt onto this video before starting ground school 😊
Great idea.Thank you 👍
Popping Qs in aviation exams as I watch this.
Thank you very much for this video, you confirmed my theory!!!!
i almost fainted when i saw the size of the books
same here
Hi good Video , excuse me do you have a page or someone has a page where i can study My Atp Exam FAA ?
The FAA does not publish the questions… or at least they don’t on the Private Pilot. You have to go to a secondary provider like King or Sportys to get their database that they have collected.
I keep watching these old videos but she is sooo smart holy shit
Thank you. It's not only about the tip to pass the ATPL, it's also the underground secret of studying under the exam base system
yes you right :). When I was studying for my pleasure craft license in Germany, I started by reading books about it and didnt remebered much. But then I just started to study the question Database online and passed my theoretical exam with 100% :)
Thank u so much I wanna to be a pilot and videos like these and you tubers like u really help me . 👍👍👍👍
Great advice !
Multiple choice questions can be a "set up" at times ! not just aviation, I had it working offshore.
Damn, this is very helpful. Thanks alot
What you say is 100% right - you just have to love aviation to keep at it. I thought I knew everything and failed mt first time. Most people are not good test takers and these test are designed to be misleading.
Hello! are you a pilot? Can you tell me please what to do to become a pilot, the best way
loved your every words
You a sooo right! After reading all those books, i got 62%! After, got an account at aviationexam and allready pass 3! You are sooo right again! All those books are good for nothing!!! The sistem in Europe really sucks! After i got my FAA CPL, I realise now fow good is the American sistem compare with this ...easa...! Congrats for this video!
Did you also use books to learn English?
Can’t really agree. The FAA allows for flights computers. EASA doesn’t even allow scientific calculators. You either know how to navigate and do basic route calculations or you don’t.
Did the same for driver's license. Zero mistakes althouth the questions were slightly different. It's really the way to go.
Soooo true, it's a pity, but that's how it works.
I basically had the feeling I knew nothing when I first started looking into tech interview questions after completing my ATPL and preparing for the airline interviews.
It was really like learning everything from scratch again, even though I have an average passmark in the 90's in my exam (based on learning mostly the database).
Me personally i would do anything in order to pass my ATPL exam even staying overnight just revising and making notes etc. I love airplanes and i want to be able to fly the Airbus A320, my dream plane! I loved airplanes since i was 4 years old
me too, I want to fly Aibus A380
Thank you for your readiness.
Thanks for the Tip.!!!!!
That’s the video i needed
Best one so far
agree completely. i knew the book inside out...and flunked. then i went to the database, and you guessed it
Thank you very much for the video.
Thanks for you,I passed my exam in the first time
While I pass my ATPL exams for example in Germany, has it the same magnitude like passing them in UK? I know it could sounds quite stupidly for you, but I'm not entirely sure about that.
great video im becoming you fan right now greetings from venezuela gotta get in that database right now
Thx for the helpful video.
Great information thank you
Really useful information
Tks
(replying to you from the other video) - it's official from last Feb when most of the UK failed Ops haha. I'm doing mine at the moment with OAA. It's seriously just down to luck now - some people get completely banked exams and some get exams with mostly new questions (or some with a 50/50 mix). They're only adding new questions on things that are staying in the LO's. However things like INS/Grid Nav which will be going when the new LO's become effective, won't get new questions. The bank is still the place to be, just you do have to kinda know your basics in case you get a little unlucky in your exam. A good split that's working for me and my friends doing them is about 60-70% effort with the bank and other time spent reading/making notes. It's incredibly stupid the way they've gone about things in the last year but not a lot we can do about it except try and beat the system!
Luke Pabari I was one the questions where random, nothing at all to do with the LOs
This way all do, especialy when you do you PPL, IR, CPL, MER written test, just question and answers. The best way to lern is Sheppard Air. Best one I suggest.
Thank you very much!
Thank you.
And dont forget to study the feedback!!
I don't know for the ATPL, but I can tell you that ALL the things that have been told in this video are true for the PPL. I've failed two times the theory part of the PPL studying my book (65%, two times). Then i've discovered a database online and boom, a month later, 81% ! I want to become a pilot and you can be sure that i'll be using this method for the ATPL!
By the way, I really love your vids, please continue to do some !
@Isuru Ranaweera database name?
What is this database??
@Isuru Ranaweera you need to study a database
What is the database bro
Thank you very much for the video
Highly recommended video!
she is saying the truth about the ATPL. my personal way is pretty similar, I bought a very small books which gives the general knowledge of the subject you re studying, then I switch on my database and take notes from their explanations which are nice detailed nowadays. then I have completed the total study mode of the subjects just do the exams simulation till death ahah.
now are you wondering why buying a book and read it if you take notes from the explanations of the questions?
it is very easy to answer, it is because now there is a new database called ECAB2020 in Europe and it is pretty difficult because it is new and the society providing the question database has poor feedback on updating the new seen questions.
anyway, if the other did it, we can do it now. keep it up!!
cheers
0:39 Love it !!
Question, How many subjects did you do on the sittings?
How long does it take to go throught the 15K questions?
Thanks
Thanks a lot...it was really helpfull
Hello dear,
You shouldn't be worried about who will state the contrary of, or criticize what you said because that means either they did not go through the same type of training or they did not get informed at all about the real facts. As far as I am concerned, as a Ppl student, I was a loot concerned about it, seeking infos everywhere and I can confirm I received the same advice from all the current and former students which I asked to. I did not like the idea but I have to say it is actually really working good.! Glad you gave the same advice :D keep up the good work and safe skies
Fantastic video ! And the way you doi your atpl exams ! It’s my way of studying too ! I have one question how can I get ATPL questions database ? Now I’m about to start my atpl !
We have a similar problem in IT - the most correct answer is bull! I once had two answer that was the same word for word, except the first one had a spelling mistake.....thought this was IT, not English major!
Super True, for most aviation based exams... FAA or EASA
Did you do EASA? If so which question bank do you recommend.
Also have they changed the questions recently?
I completely agree with her 👍
your communication your talking style is so beautiful and you also so beautiful
very helpful thanks
As far as I know, now in ATPL exam will not be a questions from database, there will be a similar but not the same
Happy to say that i passed all 14 in one go💪
Well done 👌
Did you join CAE?
@@prenomnom3116 no i am with L3
totally agree with you!
Great video! Could you please forward the related documents on the ATPL database questions? I would be grateful if so!
You are awesome.
The intro photography on the vlogs have the moments from the first bar sooo cute, guess it's been flying since 2012 =^_^=
Thanks for ur informations, i hope this will help me
This is how I passed my drivers license theory haha
All, please note the database for EASA ATPL exams has now changed for students sitting their first exams from Sept 2020. I sat EASA ATPL exams Sept 1st to 3rd 2020 in Ireland under the IAA. There is a much greater standard required now. ECQB06 Databanks won’t help you. The new standard is ECQB2020. The questions are KSA orientated and not strictly theoretically based. There is a big difference.
It’s True, I M not studying to become a pilot but I used read books and all lectures at the university and I still get bad scores, thanks so much for the Tips
Can you also use this for preparing for a PPL theoretical exam for the helicopter ? Thanks in advance for the answers.
I totally agree. I do the same for Microsoft exams. Just study questions. The only goal is to pass the exam.
