@@drouxbag94 Thats awesome! I was never a believer in Scorpion for Smoke, but I've recently changed my mind a bit. Sub is gonna be the next Kameo Klass episode but I think I'll do Scorpion afterwards
@@AlejandroJrSantana Absolutely. Its one of the coolest parts about him. He's just a really good character so you can kind of choose your kameo based on preferences and its awesome. Sektor is still my favorite but Khameleon is super fun, as is Motaro and Sub for other reasons. Motaro guide should be out on Saturday
I've been considering that yes! Have you seen my SubZero Overview&Combo Guide yet? Some of the info youre looking for might be in there. Otherwise, which part of Sareena are you struggling with? Just getting her to come out after one of your moves? Or are you struggling to follow up after she hits the opponent with the double blade toss?
Hey brinks is it possible to do a bk 2 into smoke cancel forward 3 2 into smoke cancel as all one combo, I keep trying and the last cancel doesn't seem to come out unless I delay the forward 32. But then u lose the back 2 out of the combo points
It technically works if you do an EXBF3 cancel. The game will only let you do 1 free cancel per combo. Its like Nitara or Omni-Man's air dash You can technically connect cancels as long as you have the bar but I haven't ever found the damage to be worth the meter compared to just going into 32 into teleport loops if wanting to spend bar
Do you mean doing like F3->BF3(cancel)->BF3(cancel)? If yes, that shit is hard lmao. When you're doing a raw cancel(as in not special canceling into BF3 from a move), you basically do the whole input as fast as you can Normally when you do like F3->BF3, the BF3 doesn't come out until the F3 animation finishes, so you have a slight delay before you have to input Back+Block for the cancel to work. Obviously if you start a BF3 at point blank and cancel it before the attack comes out, you don't have that delay at all and pretty much need to input the Back+Block as soon as you're done doing the BF3 So just BF3B+Block all as one quick sequence if that makes sense I hope that helps a bit. Basically its just a very fast input. I use the rhythm of the sound of my buttons on my controller to try and get used to the timing Also I play on a PS4 controller and use the D-pad for 99% of anything I do in MK Lemme know if that helps or you have more questions!
@@AwesomeBRINKS that was exactly what help I wanted. I can do a move and cancel quite good but the cancel cancel I can't do. I will practice more. Btw I hate tye ps5 controller for mk and got sick of playing ps4 versions to use my old ps4 controller so instead got a hori commander. It's actual quite good. Loving the vids brinks keep up tye good work
So does the back when you do the 1st back plus block not count towards the 1st part of the next move i have to do back+block then back again into forward 3 back+block? Hope that question makes sense
@@kaosreality7154 Awesome! And yea same, I'm much more inconsistent with consecutive cancels like that. But keep it up, im sure you'll get it down! Doing the sections of these videos where I just do a bunch of cancels in a row has really helped me get better at it so practice is definitely the key! Yea I've heard ps5 controllers aren't great for MK. I dont yet have a ps5 and play on PC so I still use a ps4 controller for all my Steam games, MK included. Yoooo nice! I've heard the hori commander is really good for MK, so thats dope! And im glad to hear it!! That is the plan!
@kaosreality7154 if you're asking if the cancel input(Back+Block) counts toward the beginning of the next BF3 input, then no it doesn't. As far as I'm aware, the only thing that might make it count is if you have Negative Edge enabled in your control settings, which is where the game counts you releasing a button as an input. So yes, if im understanding your question, for 2 cancels in a row, the inputs are BF3....B+Block....BF3....B+Block
Amazing vid man lao is so damn good. Btw the stuff at 11:25 i dream of doing as a smoke main lmao. Would love to see you drop some advice on getting to that level of cancels. Cheers 🥂
Hell yea im glad you enjoyed it, thank you! And he really is, even despite the nerf. And honestly, its about just getting the timing down of either reacting to the startup of the BF3, and then inputting the cancel portion, or even just getting a really good feel for the rhythm of the inputs. You're technically canceling during the same part of the BF3 animation, but because some of the strings are longer before the BF3, it tends to feel like certain cancels have a different input window. But actually, the only variance is how long it takes for the BF3 to start up after the string is over, cuz once the BF3 starts, youre pressing the cancel at roughly the same time in the animation regardless of what came before it if that makes sense So I think I've gotten used to the rhythm of it and I get a lot of practice doing sequences like that for my videos too lmao But I can potentially try to make a vid or short explaining that with visuals if that didn't make any sense lmao
@@AwesomeBRINKSthat definitely makes sense, but a cancel overview would be amazing. And on what you said about string into cancel, i’ve noticed a different feel for each combo starter string even tho you said there isn’t, which i believe. F21 feels like the middle ground in terms of timing for the bf3 into cancel. B2 is definitely the fastest input wise for me, the cancel is basically right after the b2, and with how hard it is to hit confirm b2 it is pretty committable (pretty sure you said this in the smoke guide). And f32 feels super slow with the cancel input. So learning the timings and executions for the different strings is super annoying lol. I typically just load into a practice match for a bit and just do string into cancels until muscle memory kicks in. Love the content bro keep it up🐐
@@therealshumbucket That could be really cool actually, thanks for the suggestion! I'm planning an invisibility guide(since I somehow left out pretty much any mention of using invisibility in my Smoke Guide 😬😬) to go over all the options both for and against Smoke while he's invisible. But a cancel overview could be dope actually if it would be helpful to people. Yea so its hard to explain. The "feel" is definitely not the same between each cancel, but the window to input the cancel portion is the same. But I think the reason it feels different is because the window to input a special move, is obviously tied to how long the string before is. So as an example, take: D1->BF3->cancel The window you have to input BF3 is very short, since D1 is a very short animation. So while technically the window to cancel a BF3 is the same every time, it feels way shorter because you don't have time to wait for the BF3 to come out before you start preparing for the cancel input. Where on the other end of the spectrum, if you're doing: F32->BF3->cancel You have pretty much the whole animation of F32 to input a BF3, and then you get a short delay until the animation is finished and the BF3 starts up before you have to input the actual Back+Block And all that tends to make it feel like the timing of cancels are different, because the gap between inputting BF3 and B+Block is usually different, even tho you're inputting the B+Block during the same window of the BF3 animation I hope that all made sense lmao. I'll definitely think about a video version of that to try and help anyone still struggling with it and hopefully the visuals will be more helpful than just raw text and numbers lol And yes B2 is very committal with the cancel since, a reason I didnt go over in the Smoke Guide, is if you whiff B2 slightly and you tried to cancel it, the whiffed B2->BF3(cancel) turns into B23 which is death on block and can't be cancelled. So if I think whiffing is a risk, I dont even bother canceling the B2 and just take the hit advantage sometimes. But thank you for the support as always!! I super appreciate it!
