That’s exactly how we saw the Statue of Liberty several years ago when we were in NYC on a budget! I’d highly recommend going at dusk/sunset & back at night. The skyline is incredible. Great video!
Great vlog you two. I thought it was great that they don't charge to ride the Staten Island Ferry, and for everything you get to see, you can't beat it. I love that you are going up north from NYC because i have always wanted to do that espically when the leaves are changing colors, so i can't wait for your next vlog, and knowing i can do it on Amtrak, makes it great because you can relax and just stare out the window at the beautiful scenery
The Train ride was soo nice. We rarely do long distance trains, but it was super comfy, And the leaves were really great when we where traveling too. 10 out of 10 recommend

"Because it's October and I'm a white girl!" lol! 🤣 My brother and I were just in NY for Veterans Day and left the day before it got cold. You guys probably missed seeing a 2nd Monument while on the Staten Island Ferry because it's not well advertised and in a weird location surrounded by shipping containers and a freight business, but just past the Statue of Liberty🗽 is the "Tear Drop Memorial" given to us by the Russian Government after 9/11. It looks like one of the towers split in half with a huge silver teardrop going through it. Ironically it's not near any of the other 9/11 memorial areas and it's hard to get there without paying a lot for a cab/Uber or renting a car. Also it doesn't face the water so you only see it from the Ferry from the side except for about a minute (literally) when you can see the front and the Teardrop, but you need a zoom lens to get a good look. Love visiting NY but it's nowhere I would want to live!

Yeah, We noticed the pools were a little chilly too, but with the ocean right there.....so nice!

Thanks. Now I don’t even have to travel to NY to see it.
Nah It's still worth it to see it in person
Can someone tell me what hotel they stayed in? I'm going to New York and looking for places to say.
I'm going to do their whole schedule
I just got back from NYC, stayed at the Hampton Inn grand central, great location and amazing hotel. Enjoy! 👍
