Good stuff dude. I'm about to do one of these tomorrow, I've only done a few american standard 90%ers myself which dont need built. Did a carrier with my senior tech a few years ago and i remember it sucked lol
Nice video. Did you have to notched about 1/4" off the inducer legs to get the inducer to seal properly against the new secondary heat exchanger? Thanks
What a pain in the ass. I replaced a secondary heat exchanger on a York before and the secondary slid out the front, without having to open the entire unit and remove the primary.
Where are you located? This is the same model that I have and the HVAC tech said I have a small crack in the exchanger. But my furnace flames don't even come on at all. Error code says blower motor (codes 44/41). HVAC tech said I need a whole new furnace or change the heat exchanger out, but that's like putting a new engine in a rusty car he said. I discovered that the the heat exchanger is under warranty to the end of next year, 2022. I think I need a second opinion...
I know I’m late, but yes you need a second opinion. If the bad part is under warranty, then have them do the work. It’ll be much cheaper than replacing the whole unit by a lot.
It’s cheaper but if your furnace is close to 20 yrs old it’s just not worth putting soo much money into a new heat exchanger you might as well put that money towards a new one because you have other parts failing also
@@christianurzua8065 Especially after pricing just the secondary, cost more than entire new unit. It's one thing if still under warranty. Otherwise a complete waste of time and $.
It's much cheaper replacing a heat exhanger that still has a part warranty. Sometimes the owner cant afford going with the best option which is replacing the whole furnace and can only afford to get by
Ya, I was a service tech for years and used to do these all the time.. Mostly Keeprites because of the popped rings and such. They were a crappy design altogether, IMO. Anyways, good job bro.. ✌️

Man you work fast!!
Great job and video! I was wondering how long did it take to do the job and what price do you charge for installation of new heat exchanger.
What silicon sealer are you using and the red tape? Thanks
Holy shit this guy's fast.
Good job!
Wow, you're fast

I had mine changed under warranty. Furnace is great now. Worth chasing down the warranty repair

Why you don’t replace the furnace is less work and I can guarantee to the customer
