    Hi Lance, Just wondering if the drain hole in the input shaft housing shouldn't be on the bottom?

    • @richardl7161
      @richardl7161 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It does look like it's on the top, but it was on the top when it came out! Perhaps there's a hole top and bottom.

    Good morning mr. Lance! a question: when I fill the gear oil into the tef20, I can never reach the maximum level on the dipstick because the oil drips from the drainage hole under the clutch bell. which gasket should be changed to solve the problem? I hope you can help me! and I sincerely thank you for the very useful videos you make, very very useful for me! (sorry if i wrote something wrong, i'm italian and i'm learning)

    How do I check if the seal is "home"? I have it protruding just a hair from the surface and I am unable to knock it further down. I don't have a 51 mm iron disc, but turned a walnut one on my wood lathe. However, I am not sure if it is all the way down as the wood does not resonate the same way an iron disc would.

    Hello Lance how are you I drained the oil from the back end of my ferguson tvo and the gearbox would it be possible to wash the gearbox and back end using compresser and paraffin to wash it and drain would this work cheers 🍻

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can! but make sure you get it all out. Diesel may be a better option.

    • @PTM092
      @PTM092 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes Lance is right.. Because after washing some diesel remains in gearbox and make your gear oil thin..

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes with the seal around the wrong way it wouldnt work correctly. The spring towards the oil is a good rule of thumb but with a new seal the spring tension mat help you out for a while.

    Lance love watching your videos first and foremost. I also appreciate that you reply to comments.
    I think this will be my 4th over the years, Is there a reason you didn't pack the bearing on the shaft with grease? Would that not of helped keep it tighter longer? Plus I can't imagine much oil gets up in there.

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When the gearbox is spinning and the bottom shaft is down in the oil there would be a lot of spray around. I think the grease would wash off reasonably quickly.

  • @peterdabrowski2328
    @peterdabrowski2328 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Amazing lance!
    Two questions; is this the same process for a petrol mf35? And do you have to drain any of the trans/hydrualic oil to prevent any of it coming out when removing the 4 bolts?

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      On a 35 yes drain the oil as you need to remove the two plates.
