Agreed, particularly in the larger sized vehicles. Driving a Mercedes to me felt like I was driving a car that was all one piece, not several pieces attached together.
@Jesse Dishner Thank you for posting this. I have a 2018 GLS550 and I would love to try this obstacle course. Am I able to to go Barber Motor Sports and do this for a fee? I hope so because this looks fun! Thanks for reminding me I own one of the the best SUV's on the planet!
Hi! It's been a while since I worked for Mercedes and this was during my week long event in Alabama going through their training program. I believe the course itself was owned by Mercedes and was facilitated by Barber but I could be wrong. Bottom line I can't help you much! Regarding the GLS - one of the big things I remember them telling us was that you could get the vehicle on two wheels and open both the front and rear doors - being on two wheels puts a tremendous amount of pressure on the frame - they told us that some competitors vehicles couldn't close the doors after they opened them because the frame flexed!
@@JesseDishner Hey buddy! Thanks for the info. Yea..I saw that on the video about how strong the frame was and yet you could still open the doors. Great to know the manufacturing was on point when they made this SUV. I'm really enjoying mine and hope it lasts. Take care!
That's very impressive, especially the body rigidity test!
