Thanks for the info by the way, I recall you saying in a previous vid that, contrary to popular beliefs, there are good surf spots in the lowers and further asea. Content hint. Thanks in advance.

@carlhill3068 - look at the still of American Shoals in this video. The new Google Earth images were taken on a day when the waves were breaking out there. It can be a choppy ride out but American Shoals and Pelican Shoals can each take both an SE and SW "swell". Bahia Honda Beach can get some rideable surf from SE swells as well, but you have to go at high tide. Truth is we need several days of really strong winds from one direction, then have the wind go still or from the North to clean it up. But at best we can get only get a 1/2 - 3/4 of a day out of any swell. The fetch between the keys and Cuba or the Bahamas just isn't long enough. Typically my daughters and I will run up to West Palm Beach or Singer Island when we see a good swell is going to hit them. Thanks for watching.
