The boat can be replaced. The stuff on it can be replaced. You two cannot be replaced, and you still have each other. ❤
Should go searching more often, great footage ,now go buy plate alloy boat with drop down wheels
That was our philosophy after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. We lost all possessions, but our family's head count remained the same.
You can always replace "stuff".
That's what Insurance is for.
A failed way to collect dollars and likes; I will unfollow this account as it has been proven to me that the boat is safe and can be repaired and that the operation is fabricated.
@sdfraji if you had an understanding of that area of Australia you would also understand that nobody would "fabicate" sinking your mode of transport. In addition to this, if you had an understanding of just how unreliable a mobile phone is outside of any major city, you would appreciate how lucky it wasn't a survival situation with no video to follow...
That dugong - literally the coolest experience!
You haven’t lost everything! You have your lives. Even if you were marooned you two could survive months until rescue. You have the best jobs and each other. You’re rich! 💕🌹
While they can catch endless food, they're only human, and fresh water would havd been a massive problem if they were marooned and if they weren't in range of cell or sat phone damaged.
Jack and Fran I am so sorry about the salty dingo. And all of your things. I am very grateful that you two are OK. And the boat didn’t roll over on Fran. That could’ve been a whole different scenario. Thank goodness you both are safe and sound and who knows what will turn up on the beach still I hope you guys go back to look Keep us posted on what comes now Sending love, positive vibes from LIZ in California 🩵😎🤘🏻⛵️🇺🇸❤️🩹
Thanks God it failed at anchor, it was showing signs of fatigue, My respect for your hardwork and knowledge!
Thank God the both of you are safe material possessions can always be replaced
I lost my boat Wombat the same way about 4 years ago. my heart goes out to you guys. glad that your all safe
Good effort getting the stuff picked up. Not only for you to use, but keep the place clean too.
I’m so sorry for y’all’s loss of the boat and most of what you all had on board it. You two have had some amazing adventures on that boat for sure. Glad to know yall are safe and sound, and that you got a few of the items back. Maybe some beach goers will see some of your stuff in another area and try to get it back to you all. Take care of yourselves and looking forward to more of your great adventures
Fran and Jack, I'm so sorry for your loss, it was a beautiful boat that took you on many adventures. Sad end to so much joy in seeing you. I hope you can continue to give us so much wonder about the sea and its marine fauna. Is it too much to ask that you not leave your project now? Best wishes and stay safe.
Very beautiful to see in the midst of yall's struggle you find the time to appreciate what brought you out there in the first place. Your love of the ocean and its creatures. Empowering
Glad you are both okay. The boat is just more stuff we collect. Your lives are the real treasure and we so appreciate every adventure you kindly take us on. We watch every week and let every advertisement roll to help.
That was very cool with the dugong, they are really similar to our Manatee here in Florida. Hope you find most of your stuff. Stay safe we love y'all. 👍🏻💕🐾
Wow. The intro was shocking. First things first, you're alive. Good news. Everything else can be replaced. But taking the ´Salty Dingo´, which isn’t suitable for open sea and which you had to patch up after that huge crack in the side on another tour was really a massive risk. The princess has fallen, now it's time to get up, adjust your crown, dust off your clothes and keep going. I have faith in your both abilities to manage all well. Good luck to both of you.
Well said mate!!! Sad times…
Thanks so much for your kind words and support 🙏🏼
Knowing how Fran loves interacting with wildlife, seeing her play with the dugong was a bright moment in an otherwise gloomy day.
So sorry for your loss. Just so happy you weren’t on one of your isolated island episodes
Proper respectful love and grief for our great friend, the Salty Dingo!
You were the most faithful companion! We all owe so much to you!!❤
I am here with you both, Ride or Die! Love you
What a shame, mates... So sorry! Fortunately and thanks God you are both well. Looking forward to meeting you soon with your renewed or brand new house-boat. Your are one of the most authentic adventurers couple of the You Tube and your millions of fans are praying for or wishing your prompt return! God bless you! 🙏🙏🙏
Had a very similar situation at dirk hartog. Snapped anchor lines and the boat flipped in the shore break. We managed to get the boat upright and thanks to the help of a trawler were able to tow it back to Denham. Whilst we lost ~$30k worth of spearing gear the boat being an aluminum hard top was relatively unscathed considering. Shes back on the water and we still do trips with her. We now use a bridal set up of 30 mm rope for anchoring overnight and will not anchor overnight in places where there is an onshore wind. It was pretty scary/stressful when it happened but now its just another story.
Would have been a different story if you were on the west side of DH
Dangerous waters
So sorry guys, for the loss of most of your gear and video. Just bad luck, a real bummer having the salty Dingo get wrecked !
You have a great channel, been following your adventures for a while, take care.
That dugong was amazing. Sorry for your loss guys.
When life gives you lemons, you could make lemonade, or you could make a great treasure hunting video, albeit your own treasure. Glad you're safe guys
Videos and shared experiences keep getting better and better. The way you two handle the environment around you and treat one another is what keeps me watching. Breathtakingly beautiful, the sea life loves you as much as you love it. Thank You
Im so sorry for your loss. So pleased to see you find your gear, what an awesome episode, thanks for taking us on your treasure hunt & magical swim with the beautiful Dugong.
All the best!
Cheers Marg
The salty dingo will life on forever in your / subs hearts ever time you remember all the things youve seen the places it took you and the adventures we have all shared with you on the salty dingo
May she continue her voyage on calm seas 🙏🥺
Glad you're both safe. The old dog has been a fair way around aus. She got you started and served well. Fairwell old girl.
salty dingo has been through hell in the last couple years and so have you two. thankful you are both happy healthy and still putting out content.
Aside from wreck you still managed to put together a great post for us to watch... Hope you had insurance to cover most of the stuff lost....
Future adventures discovering parts of the Salty Dingo ... ...
Even the ships on the great lakes here in the states lose anchors and that's chain all the way up and down
Those nylon ropes like fish line need to be replaced annually....
I think that dugong was giving his sympathies. Such a cool experience born from disaster. Very sorry for the loss of your boat and personals. I truly believe everything happens for a reason, so this was the plan. Hoping it leads to better things in the future! Looking forward to the next video! Much love to Fran & Strick from Maine USA. Rip Salty Dingo!
Fran and Strick - what an incredible video! From huge Tigers leisurely munching on denuded whale carcass, to seeing the S.D. pounded in the surf, and the subsequent salvage effort, which paid off pretty well - not often the sea gives back what it takes away - and the dugong - amazing! When I first saw it, I was like, WTH is THAT? Being in the S.E. USA, I've seen manatees before - but the dugong was a wonderful surprise - they're a beautiful animal - so streamlined looking, and with the fluked tail - watching it play with Fran was a pure delight. Sorry about about all the lost gear, Mate - but the next chapter in B2B Castaways is going to be even better. From where I sit, seeing how you two get on together - it's a joy to see a couple so blessed in lives so rich in experiences. Was also really stoked to see you together with Riley, Elayna, and their boys in the Phillipines. Keep on rollin'!
RIP The Salty Dingo but to be honest it was on its last 'legs'. This is the beginning of a new chapter and an upgrade! There will be plenty of people to fund and help if you decide to go this route. A blessing in disguise. Sorry about the lost footage. There will be more!
Words can't express how sorry I am that this happened to 2 wonderful people that I have grown to love and care about, I am so glad that you both are Ok. My thoughts and prayers go out to you both!
Welcome back guys, finally it's Sunday and ur here
Much respect and luv 🙏
Thank you ❤️
@@strickandfran glad you guys are okay
Man I'm sorry for the loss but everything can be replaced. The important thing is that you and Fran are safe 🙏 thank you for sharing your life with us ❤❤❤❤
Thanks!
No reply, how does that feel?
So sorry for your loss of the Salty Dingo. Thank God you two are ok, God bless you ❤
Second boat you have wrecked now. Possibly bad karma from fishing Green zones. Guess I’m the only one who didn’t forget you guys are sanctuary fishos
Have they actually fished in green zones? I just find it weird because they’re always posting about how much they care love the ocean and how they only take what they need
@@kenzyjordan5569 you can look it up. They had to go to court and everything. They had extensive evidence of it and when they got caught they didn’t post for months. Influencers will do anything to come across as eco friendly
I bet you are the snitch who dobbed them in. I imagine you have a lot of friends ….
@@TobyDean-fh6ed I didn’t snitch on anyone. They wanna be flogs and can’t find fish out of a sanctuary then they deserved everything they got ya flog
You's are alive plus look on the bright side if that never happened you wouldn't have swam with those dugongs that was amazing to watch love to you both ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing both the good times and hard times. I feel sometimes content creators sort of skip over the hard times and just want to share the positives. Now on to salty dingo 2.0!
You guys are awesome! Watching your videos is a sure way to relax and forget my troubles.
I'm so glad y'all are ok! Those things can be replaced! You can't! Many blessings!
Sad you lost the Salty Dingo and luckly you found some of your stuff back. Dingo lived a 4 tripple life with many beautifull adventures. I was also surprised she could be so far en full packed in open sea. Nothing happend with you guys and that is the most important. A nice present is you could swimm with a so playfull Dungong. that was awsome.
Glad you both ok...sorry for the loss of salty dingo mate been following you guys from Europe now in Oz was hoping to meet you guys some day but I'm glad you still got each other. Much love to you both 💕.
Fran and Jack , im so sorry for your loss , she was a faithful beautiful boat that bought adventures, happiness and awesome memories, so sad for you.
Hoping you can regroup and keep giving us the amazing content your known for , sending you much love ❤❤❤.
So sorry for your loss, hoping for a quick recovery for you guys. Our family has really enjoyed sharing your experiences and wish nothing but the best for you moving forward. Hopefully, insurance will take care of you somehow.
RIP salty Dingo. So glad you two are OK. Bummer about the drone and cameras but then you go and get that dugong footage which was awesome. All the best for your future adventures.
I am so thankful; that you both are safe and happy that you were able to salvage some of your stuff… what a positive attitude you both have,, it certainly was a bad situation to be in,, yes,, Cheers to the Salty Dingo,,,
Bummer to see my favourite joyful TH-camrs heart broken and distraught. I’m sure they will capture some more incredible footage like what was lost. Great to see that you weren’t on the boat when it sank. Although we didn’t see you fighting for the boat I’m sure you both fought harder than anyone could imagine.❤
I so love watching you guys adventures.sorry to see you lost your boat. And most of all that you weren't on it when it happen. Wishing you well. Hope to see you back on your adventure again soon.✌️💗
So sorry for your loss but happy that you & Fran are safe. I have no doubt you guys will bounce back stronger and be back out on a new adventure soon.
Thank God both of you are safe. You can lose all the salt and all the dingoes, Jack...but you still have Fran...she's a great companion, she's beautiful, she shares your love for nature and the outdoors, she's knowledgeable, she's got that lovable Aussie accent with that unique intonation, she doesn't nag (at least not that I can see in any of the videos :-) she can cook...AND she cooks for her man...dear Lord, what more could a man ask for?
PS: I need a "Fran" in my life :-)
If I have the money I wouldn’t think twice to sponsor you guys everything I can. Updated equipment. A new bigger boat🛥️
You guys have the best underwater experience ever
I would love to join you guys on an adventure. I’m sure there wonderful people to help you guys to get back to B2B
So sorry for the loss of your Salty Dingo but, thank God you are both safe.
Hectic times. We literally had the same thing happen camping off the coast of dirk hartog. Lost most of our stuff and never found half of it. Possibly the craziest couple of days of our life trying to recover gear and get back to land!
I’m so sorry. You’ve had some wonderful adventures in her and will always cherish those memories. The most important thing is that you two are safe and unharmed. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Better days are on the horizon. ❤️🙏
Oh you guys, I’m so sorry for this devastating loss of your beloved vessel/HOME. Very glad you two are safe though.
WOW I was hoping it was click bait & in the am pulling the plug once the tide went down until I saw at 4:05!!! Soooo sorry!!!!! Sooo glad you didn't get hurt trying to save the boat in that current!!!
Some local boat builder must get that boat, repair it and give it back to them… stunning channel, stunning couple..
Absolutely captivating footage. So sorry to see your loss. Nature can be so beautiful and so destructive at the same time. Wishing you both the very best of luck.
Thank you Salty Dingo for all the adventures 🙏🏻 glad you two are safe 🙏🏻
Strick and Fran! Mother nature at her most beautiful with the the Whale and Calf, then later the Dugong(s), and then at her most brutal wrecking The Salty Dingo.
Glad you managed to salvage some of your gear, and massive shout out to your friends for helping out.
The most important thing is that you are both OK! Stuff can be replaced even if it's expensive, but you can't be. And you are irreplaceable, spreading so much joy with your videos. I hope the Salty Dingo finds a good home and gets repaired back to her former glory. I feel so much for you and your losses. Sending much ❤ to you both and just so glad that you're OK! 😘😘❤
I'd really like to send you a one off donation to help you get back up and running, and carrying on producing fantastic content, as I'm sure a lot of your subscribers would. I can't promise it'd be massive amount, but if I and all of your subscribers sent you modest amounts it'd soon add up. I don't know how to do this so please consider setting up a way to do this. ❤❤❤
Your underwater video is outstanding despite the hardship. Hope you two carry on with the same love of the sea! ❤
Glad you are both safe. At least one consolation is you have content no-one else does! We'll be here to watch you bounce back. With the dugong, you were on a roll!
It's to see you guys sad, but I'm happy that you 2 are ok, God will give you the knowledge to get a beautiful boat, and everything you lost.
Material things can be replaced you too can’t. I’m so glad that neither one of you were injured during this and you are both safe. I will continue to watch full episodes of your show I thoroughly enjoy it. You guys are the best so sorry about your boat. Much love from Canada 🇨🇦
I am so sorry 😞 for you guys, just shows the power of mother nature, at least you guys aren't hurt, the dugon footage was beautiful, hope everything was insured, hope you recover from this ordeal, whating to see what you come up with in the future, cheers and all the best, rick in WA.❤
Heartbroken, tearing up while watching this . Glad you're both safe ! Thank you for your service Salty Dingo.
Glad you and Fran are safe! Cheers to the Salty Dingo! I look forward to your next means of exploring your adventures that we are fortunate to experience "along with you"!
Rip salty dingo😢 the boat can be replaced, your lives, not so much! Glad everyone's safe and nobody got hurt or worse❤ shout out to Fran, takes one heck of a woman to do what ya'll do!!! Us men don't put much thought into what it takes both mentally and physically to do the type of adventures that you guy's do and she's right there beside you the whole way through 💯 Much love from the coast of Maine 🤙 ❤️
Also I'd like to add that I'm glad it happened in a spot where you guy's can get to it and recover what you could! Most places ya'll go there wouldn't be no way you would be able to recover anything.
Glad the two of you are safe.
R.I.P. Salty Dingo.
so sad. At least you were onshore at the time. Sending positive energies. Perhaps someone will come forward with a new boat, to keep you doing what you love, and what we the viewers can enjoy. That dugong was gorgeous. 💟
Omg that dugong is so cute. Reminds me of a mini manatee!!
I had a homemade sort of generic Boston Whaler made out of an 18' Spinfisher with 110 HP Mercury. I glassed in 2 x 6 stringers and the hull was filled with foam. I had that boat up and down 8' swells with 1.5' waves by Jost Van Dyke in the Virgin Islands and St. Thomas to Virgin Gorda for 3 years from 1979 thru 1982. I had the time of my life on that boat. It was named the "Dinghy" so I have always had a soft spot for the Salty Dingo. I enjoy your underwater and spearfishing videos so much. Wasn't this your second Salty Dingo? Keep it up. Thank you for keeping me young in my own mind.
Strick and Fran our condolences on the passing of the Salty Dingo. The interaction with the Dugong was absolutely beautiful. Apart from the tragedy of the Salty Dingo the experience was totally awesome. You videography and cinematic brilliance is so exceptionally good that we enjoy all what you do and present in your episodes. All the best and hopefully there is a sponsor out there to assist with the procurement of the Salty Dingo 2. Take care, be safe and god bless your both 🙏😇🇦🇺🚤
I hope nothing sentimental was lost other than the footage glad you guys are safe and sound 🙏 ❤️
Oh guys, I'm so sorry! Just awful. I had a terrible feeling when you didn't post a video last week. RIP, Salty Dingo. Relieved that you are both ok. Much love!
So sad! Such a grieving process for you, two! So, so sorry to hear and see your loss! Thanks to you 2 and the Salty Dingo gave us and the world so many adventurous memories!
God speed to recovery !!! Glad you both are ok !!!!
The interaction with the Dugong was one of the coolest interactions with nature I’ve ever seen! Awesome!
That is so cool it's like she's playing so cool to see
That whale feeding frenzy is epic! I’m glad you were able to salvage some gear ❤
Oh no. This really makes it clear how hard all this is to do. Having a small boston whaler in the past, I know how bashed they get when trying to anchor near a beach. I remember having a drink at a beach bar seeing my boat on anchor pitching almost 90 degrees in surf on anchor and had to run out there and luckily I got it sorted.
So very sorry for the loss of the Salty Dingo! Just happy that you Fran and Jack are safe! Blessings and much love always mates! 🙏❤
Hi, watching from Nairobi Kenya, I'm so sorry for the loss of your beloved Salty Dingo I've followed you guys for a very long time and you've had very memorable times with the boat and it's so sad that you would be willing to give it up , I wish us viewers would pool up a fund to restore the boat , I think that you shouldn't give her up so soon after all the good times you all had together with her !
I think i feel a twist to this story coming!
Awsome couple, what a tale you can both tell, at least your both safe, more adventures to come Im sure.😊
jack and fran i am sorry for youre loss of the dingo , but on another upbeat note . that shot of you jack drinking that beer after it was recoverd from the ocean , that one shot of you opening the beer and drinking it was the BEST advert ever i seen for that beer , the beer company could sponser you guys now just for that shot alone then the entire story that went with it and its recovery , well done you guys , all that practice you guys had over the years all paid off . have to watch this upload at least 3 times now . " the perfect aussie advert '" ( I JUST GOT A FLIE IN MY MOUTH ,, ITS OKAY , JUST WASH IT DOWN WITH A BEER ) ....
Very sad news about the dingo guys. Happens so easily as U both know. A real shame due to the great trips U have in her. Thanks for still posting when most people wouldn't. On a more positive note the swim with the dugong was so great!! I've seen a fair few while I've been fishing but never swam with one. So pleased to see U guys uninjured from this
That's my worst nightmare when boat camping. I never sleep well, even with 2 anchors with heaps of chain and a slack tail rope. I feel for you guys. Chin up.
So sorry about the loss of the Salty Dingo, everything can be replaced but you guys cant, glad that you two are safe and sound.
I’m sorry for you and your boat but wow playing with that dugong what a magnificent experience
I have lost a boat on similar way, but instead of sandy beaches, at baltic we have rocky shore so the boats story was done before we could even react. Boats and stuff is always replaceable, best of luck!
That dugong moment is irreplaceable. ❤
I love both of your experiences through the good and the bad of the adventures. I am glad that everyone is safe. Can't wait to see more!
I know what it's like to feel like you've lost everything. A wild fire took my home & everything i ever had in life including my restored Haines 17ft Half Cabin. All i had left was old shorts & a ripped T shirt. But out of the ashes i realized i had a chance to start a new life. So from my experience, i can say little steps lead back to happy pathways. It gives me a humble smile to know, The Salty Dingo died doing what she loved.
Sorry for your troubles, you have a great channel and content.
love yall … especially your attitude towards adversity…I’ve lived on the barrier islands of South Carolina for most of my 60 plus years …. Sea Cows (manatees) were considered omens of blessing by the indigenous ancestors of this land, the Afro Caribbean peoples whose narrative I find most compelling believed they were bringers of healing.
I’m not a religious man but perhaps the Sea is remind us who’s who as she does but sending a message of hope as well …
Super unlucky. And then when the outboard failed too, getting kicked when you're already down. You still have your health and your youth though. Love your videos. RIP salty dingo, never a dull moment. 🍻
That hat is invincible 😂
Very sad fate for the salty dingo, but glad yall are safe...God bless, and cant wait to see what you have in the future!❤❤❤
Thankfully you are both safe and I know that the salty dingo held a lot of memories of your adventures and a big part of your lives.
Losing your stuff sucks but playing with a wild dugong was really cool to see. I grew up in Florida with manatees in a lot of places I fished. They were curious about people and I had a family of 5 come up to me lots of times. I fished on a dock and they came by around sundown daily for a while. I'd love to see dugongs and swim with them.
